141 I Sit Silently Before God’s Word

Accompaniment: Sitting before God’s word meditating silently

                            How should I care for God’s heart

I

Sitting silently before God’s word,

Looking at God’s word, I’m lost in a myriad of thoughts.

My past living out was too poor like sifting gold from sand.

God’s grace upon me is really beyond number;

God has saved me at a heavy price;

Today I have no reality, having no face to see God.

I’m lonely and sorrowful in heart, shedding tears secretly.

Regretful, I’m really indebted to God.

II

Sitting silently before God’s word,

Pondering the reality in the word carefully,

Checking myself soberly, I realize I am too small.

God’s life is so beautiful that my heart admires it.

When can I be perfected? My heart becomes even more anxious.

How to cooperate with God? What price should I pay?

Knowing the truths yet failing to live them out,

How can I deserve to live before God?

III

Sitting silently before God’s word,

Quiet before God, I meditate on God’s work.

God’s chastising and refining man contains so much love.

God created man, but what has He gained? Man is disobedient,

Only adding sufferings to God.

Failing to satisfy God’s heart’s desire yet grieving God’s heart,

How can I conscienceless deserve to be called a man?

My heart is guilty; the more I think the more I feel sorrowful and painful.

IV

Sitting silently before God’s word,

I try to know myself in God’s word.

Why has my life not been transformed and I still live out the old likeness?

God holds my hand and guides me to walk the path,

Burning with anxiety and expecting me to be transformed,

So that He can be satisfied and His wish fulfilled.

How should I care for God’s heart?

O God O God! I’m willing to satisfy You.
