01Why Would the Lord Jesus Return in the Last Days for the Work of Judgment After Finishing the Work of Redemption?

Although human beings were redeemed by the Lord in the Age of Grace and absolved of their sins, people were not cleansed of their sinful natures—they all still live within the cycle of sinning, confessing, then once again sinning and once again confessing. This is the painful struggle of their lives. The Bible prophesies: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17). “And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:47–48). Almighty God’s work in the last days is the stage of judgment work; He has expressed truths to cleanse all those who come before God’s throne, sort all according to their kind, and ultimately bring those who have been purified into His kingdom, thus bringing an end to the age entirely. We can see that Almighty God’s work of judgment in the last days completely fulfills and achieves the biblical prophecies—it is the work of fully saving mankind.
