34. Achieving Compatibility With Christ Is the Sole Criterion for Attaining Salvation and Being Perfected

I have done much work among man, and the words I have expressed during this time have been many. These words are for the sake of man’s salvation, and were expressed so that man might become compatible with Me. Yet I have gained only a few people on earth who are compatible with Me, and so I say that man does not treasure My words, for man is not compatible with Me. In this way, the work I do is not merely so that man can worship Me; more importantly, it is so that man can be compatible with Me. People, who have been corrupted, all live in Satan’s trap, they live in the flesh, live in selfish desires, and there is not a single one among them who is compatible with Me. There are those who say that they are compatible with Me, but who all worship vague idols. Although they acknowledge My name as holy, they tread a path that runs contrary to Me, and their words are full of arrogance and self-confidence, because, at root, they are all against Me, and incompatible with Me.

I live among man, yet man does not know of My existence. When I shine My light upon man, he still remains ignorant of My existence. When I unleash My wrath upon man, he denies My existence with even greater vigor. Man searches for compatibility with words, with the Bible, yet not a single person comes before Me to seek the way of compatibility with the truth. Man looks up to Me in heaven, and devotes particular concern to My existence in heaven, yet no one cares about Me in the flesh, for I who live among man am simply too insignificant. Those who only seek compatibility with the words of the Bible, and who only seek compatibility with a vague God, are a wretched sight to Me. That is because what they worship are dead words, and a God that is capable of giving them untold treasures. What they worship is a God that lays himself at the mercy of man, and which doesn’t exist. What, then, can such people gain from Me? Man is simply too lowly for words. Those who are against Me, who make limitless demands of Me, who have no love of the truth, who are rebellious toward Me—how could they be compatible with Me?

Those who are against Me are those who are not compatible with Me. So too are those who do not love the truth, and those who rebel against Me are even more against Me and incompatible with Me. All those who are not compatible with Me I deliver into the hands of the evil one. I relinquish them to the corruption of the evil one, give them free rein to reveal their maleficence, and ultimately hand them over to the evil one to be devoured. I care not how many people worship Me, which is to say, I care not how many people believe in Me. All that concerns Me is how many people are compatible with Me. That is because all those who are not compatible with Me are evil ones who betray Me; they are My enemies, and I shall not “enshrine” My enemies in My home. Those who are compatible with Me shall forever serve Me in My home, and those who place themselves in enmity of Me shall forever suffer My punishment. Those who only care about the words of the Bible, who are unconcerned about the truth or seeking My footsteps—they are against Me, for they limit Me according to the Bible, and constrain Me within the Bible, and so are blasphemous in the extreme toward Me. How could such people come before Me? They pay no heed to My deeds, or My will, or the truth, but instead obsess over words, words that kill. How could such people be compatible with Me?

I have expressed so many words, and have also expressed My will and disposition, yet even so, people are still incapable of knowing Me and believing in Me. Or, it could be said, they are still incapable of obeying Me. Those who live in the Bible, those who live amidst the law, those who live on the cross, those who live according to doctrine, those who live among the work I do today—which of them is compatible with Me? You only think of receiving blessings and rewards, and have never spared a thought to how to be compatible with Me, or to how to prevent yourselves from being in enmity of Me. I am so disappointed in you, for I have given you so much, yet I have gained so little from you. Your deception, your arrogance, your greed, your extravagant desires, your betrayal, your disobedience—which of these could escape My notice? You palter with Me, you fool Me, you insult Me, you deceive Me, you exact Me, you extort Me for sacrifices—how could such maleficence elude My punishment? Your evildoing is proof of your enmity to Me, and is proof of your incompatibility with Me. Each of you believes yourself to be so compatible with Me, but if that is the case, then to whom does such irrefutable evidence apply? You believe yourselves to possess the utmost sincerity and loyalty toward Me. You think that you are so kindhearted, so compassionate, and have devoted so much to Me. You think that you have done enough for Me. Yet have you ever compared these beliefs against your own behavior? I say you are plenty arrogant, plenty greedy, plenty perfunctory; the tricks with which you fool Me are plenty clever, and you have plenty of contemptible intentions and contemptible methods. Your loyalty is too meager, your earnestness is too paltry, and your conscience is even more lacking. There is too much maliciousness in your hearts, and no one is exempt from it, not even Me. You shut Me out for the sake of your children, or your husband, or your own self-preservation. Instead of caring about Me, you care about your family, your children, your status, your future, and your own gratification. When have you ever thought of Me as you spoke or acted? When the weather is cold, your thoughts turn to your children, your husband, your wife, or your parents. When the weather is hot, I hold no place in your thoughts, either. When you perform your duty, you are thinking of your own interests, of your own personal safety, of the members of your family. What have you ever done that was for Me? When have you ever thought of Me? When have you ever devoted yourself, at any cost, to Me and My work? Where is the evidence of your compatibility with Me? Where is the reality of your loyalty to Me? Where is the reality of your obedience to Me? When have your intentions not been for the sake of gaining My blessings? You fool and deceive Me, you play with the truth, and conceal the existence of the truth, and betray the substance of the truth, and you place yourselves in such enmity to Me. So what awaits you in the future? You merely seek compatibility with a vague God, and merely seek a vague belief, yet you are not compatible with Christ. Will not your maleficence receive the same retribution as that deserved by the wicked? At that time, you will realize that no one who is incompatible with Christ can escape the day of wrath, and you will discover what kind of retribution shall be wrought upon those who are in enmity with Christ. When that day arrives, your dreams of being blessed for your belief in God, and of gaining entry to heaven, shall all be shattered. It is, however, not so for those who are compatible with Christ. Though they have lost so much, though they have suffered a lot of hardship, they shall receive all of the inheritance that I shall bequeath to mankind. Ultimately, you will understand that only I am the righteous God, and that only I am capable of taking mankind into his beautiful destination.

After reading God’s words above, we realize that, as long as people seek the truth and contemplate carefully, then all can gain God’s enlightenment and illumination. God’s words allow us to see what exactly being compatible with God is and what being opposed to God is, how man’s incompatibility with God is manifested and how man manifests their opposition to God, as well as the causes and final outcome of man’s incompatibility with God. If you can understand these problems, then you will comprehend entirely exactly what state people are in before God. The thoughts, the ideas, and the actions and behavior of corrupt mankind can in no way meet the criterion of being compatible with Christ. Instead, they are utterly opposed to Christ, and corrupt mankind truly rebels against God and defies God far too much. Without the revelations of God’s words, it would be hard for people to recognize that man’s corrupt nature and essence are indeed hostile to God, therefore their actions and behavior also defy and betray God. No wonder God’s judgment and chastisement of man is so full of wrath and majesty. If people can truly understand the truth and are able to recognize their own satanic natures, then they will be able to comprehend God’s good intentions, they will certainly be able to obey God’s judgment and chastisement honestly, and accept being pruned and dealt with by God, as well as accept His trials and refinements. This is the conscience and the reason a believer in God should possess. Mankind has already been deeply corrupted by Satan and is full of satanic dispositions, and they have reached a stage whereby they are hostile to God in all things. So should mankind not accept God’s judgment and chastisement, and His pruning and dealing? Those who can really see the truth of mankind’s corruption should not harbor extravagant desires toward God, but should only obey God’s work honestly, pursue the truth and fulfill their duties—this is man’s responsibility. Without the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, people think themselves great, they are arrogant and self-righteous, they have no regard for anyone and, just like the great red dragon who is unscrupulous in their wild defiance of God and hostility toward God, and this is a fact. The coming of God’s judgment and chastisement to corrupt mankind is truly God’s great love. If people cannot accept the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, then they are of a kind that should be cursed and destroyed. God requires all those who believe in Him to achieve compatibility with Christ, and this is indeed God making an exception and lifting up people. In light of the level to which mankind of the last days has been corrupted, man is unworthy to enjoy this love of God’s, and therefore God requires man to achieve compatibility with Christ in their faith in God—this is the true significance of God’s salvation of mankind. If people believe in God but ultimately cannot achieve compatibility with Christ, then they will be unable to attain salvation, and will be destroyed. It can therefore be seen that God’s requirement of man to achieve compatibility with Christ is precisely the criterion for attaining salvation. If people can truly see God’s love, then they should pursue the truth with both feet planted firmly on the ground, and accept and obey all of God’s judgment and chastisement. In particular, when people simply do not understand the significance of faith in God, and when their “faith” in God is defiled with much evil and with many elements of unbelief, then, if it were not for God’s revelations, we would never be able to truly recognize the truth of our own corruption. Especially when people’s faith in Christ contains many elements of unbelief, as well as many defilements which defy and disobey God, then only the judgment and chastisement of God’s words is capable of exposing them. By continuing to read God’s words, we will see that corrupt mankind does not possess true faith in God, and from the various impurities of man’s faith in God we will completely see the God-defying nature and essence of corrupt mankind, and that the truth of mankind’s corruption is exposed thoroughly through the impurities of their belief. If people are incapable of recognizing all the impurities, the intentions and desires held within corrupt mankind’s faith in God, then they will be unable to enter onto the right track of belief in God, and it will be hard for them to attain salvation and be perfected.

You should all now understand the true meaning of believing in God. The meaning of faith in God that I previously spoke about is related to your positive entry. This is not so today. Today I would like to analyze the essence of your faith in God. Of course, this is guiding you from the negative; if I do not do so, then you will never know your true countenance and will forever boast of your devoutness and faithfulness. In other words, if I do not unearth the ugliness deep within your hearts, then each of you will place a crown upon your head and give all glory to yourself. Your haughty and arrogant nature drives you to betray your own conscience, to rebel against and resist Christ, and to reveal your ugliness, thereby exposing to the light your intentions, notions, excessive desires, and eyes full of greed. And yet you continue to profess that you will dedicate your life to the work of Christ, and you repeat again and again the truths that were spoken by Christ long ago. This is your “faith.” This is your “faith without impurity.” I have held man to a very strict standard all along. If your loyalty comes with intentions and conditions, then I would rather not have any of your so-called loyalty, for I abhor those who deceive Me through their intentions and extort Me with conditions. I only wish for man to be loyal to none other than Me, and to do all things for the sake of and to prove that one word: faith. I despise your use of sweetened words to make Me rejoice. For I always treat you with complete sincerity and so I wish for you to also act toward Me with a true faith. When it comes to faith, many may think that they follow God because they have faith, otherwise they would not bear such suffering. Then I ask you this: Why is it that you never revere God though you believe in His existence? Why, then, do you have no fear of God in your heart if you believe in His existence? You accept that Christ is the incarnation of God, so why do you hold such contempt and act so irreverently toward Him? Why do you openly judge Him? Why do you always watch His movements? Why do you not submit to His arrangements? Why do you not act in accordance with His word? Why do you extort and rob Him of His offerings? Why do you speak in the place of Christ? Why do you judge whether or not His work and His word are correct? Why do you dare blaspheme Him behind His back? Are these and others what constitute your faith?

Every part of your speech and behavior reveals the elements of unbelief in Christ that you carry within. Your motives and goals for what you do are pervaded by unbelief; even the look in your eyes and the breath you exhale are tainted with such elements. In other words, each of you, during every minute of the day, carry with you elements of unbelief. This means that, at every moment, you are in danger of betraying Christ, for the blood that runs through your body is infused with unbelief in the incarnate God. Therefore, I say that the footprints you leave upon the path of belief in God are not substantial. Your journey along the path of belief in God is not well grounded, and you are instead simply going through the motions. You are always skeptical of the word of Christ and cannot immediately put it into practice. This is the reason that you do not have faith in Christ, and always having notions about Him is another reason that you do not believe in Christ. Always retaining skepticism about the work of Christ, letting the word of Christ fall on deaf ears, having an opinion on whatever work is done by Christ and not being able to properly understand it, having difficulty putting down notions no matter the explanation you receive, and so on; these are all elements of unbelief mixed in your hearts. Though you follow the work of Christ and never fall behind, there is too much rebellion mixed in your hearts. This rebellion is an impurity in your belief in God. Perhaps you do not agree, but if you cannot recognize your own intentions from it, then you shall surely be one who will perish. For God perfects only those who truly believe in Him, not those who are skeptical of Him, and least of all those who follow Him despite never having believed that He is God.

Presently, there is still much unbelief within you. Try looking diligently within yourselves and you will surely find your answer. When you find the real answer, then you will admit that you are not a believer of God, but rather one who deceives, blasphemes, and betrays Him, and one disloyal to Him. Then you will realize that Christ is no man, but God. When that day comes, then you will revere, fear, and truly love Christ. Presently, your faith is only thirty percent of your heart, while seventy percent is possessed by doubt. Any deed done and any sentence spoken by Christ can cause you to form notions and opinions about Him. These notions and these opinions stem from your complete unbelief in Him. You admire and fear only the unseen God in heaven and have no regard for the living Christ on earth. Is this not also your unbelief? You yearn only for the God who did work in the past but do not face up to the Christ of today. These are always the “faith” mingled in your hearts that does not believe in the Christ of today. I do not underestimate you, for there is too much unbelief within you, too much of you that is impure and must be dissected. These impurities are a sign that you have no faith at all; they are a mark of your renouncement of Christ and brand you as a betrayer of Christ. They are a veil covering your knowledge of Christ, a barrier to your being gained by Christ, an obstacle preventing your being compatible with Christ, and a proof that Christ does not approve of you.

Through the revelations, and the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, people should realize that there are far too many impurities and far too many elements of unbelief within their faith in God, and that these impurities and elements of unbelief are precisely their conceptions of God, and are their defiance and disobedience toward God. Through realizing the various impurities and elements of unbelief within their faith in God, they will be able to see the truth of mankind’s deep corruption and their God-defying nature and essence. These impurities and elements of unbelief are truly the source of their defiance of God, and they are the proof of man’s incompatibility with God. The existence of these impurities and elements of unbelief within man’s faith in God is sufficient to show that they do not know God at all. Whether or not someone can attain salvation and be perfected depends primarily upon whether or not they can pursue the truth so as to achieve a true knowledge of the practical God, and whether or not they can love the practical God on earth. Only in this way can the problem of all their various corrupt impurities and elements of unbelief be resolved, and they become compatible with Christ. If people really have a God-fearing heart, then there will certainly be a place for Christ in their hearts, and furthermore they will fear God and shun evil. Those who have no place for Christ in their hearts but only have a place for the vague God of their imagination, will certainly not have a God-fearing heart. Although people like this are capable of sparing no pain and expending enthusiastically for God, they do not truly obey Him—this is the way people of religion believe in God. The most important part of pursuing the truth is that one must seek to know the practical God, and must be able to truly love the practical God from their heart and become someone who truly obeys God. In this way, all their various corrupt impurities and elements of unbelief will be cleansed. If someone is incapable of pursuing the truth in this way, and if they are incapable of following and serving the practical God on earth with both feet planted firmly on the ground, then they will absolutely be incapable of being perfected by God. All those who tread the path of Paul and the antichrists are those who do not love the truth and who do not pursue the truth. These people wish to exchange their work for God and the performance of their duties for God’s rewards and blessings, and they pay no attention to pursuing the truth so as to know the practical God and have true love for God—they seek only to perform their work to gain rewards, and to gain a crown. There is no difference at all between people like this and Paul. They are snobs who worship and look up to a vague God, and who place the practical God to one side and ignore Him completely. Not only have they no conscience or reason, but they are all degenerates who repay kindness with ingratitude and who are hostile to Christ. Regarding those who eat and drink God’s words and enjoy God’s grace, but who serve the vague God of their heart’s imagination, who do not pursue the truth whatsoever and who tread the path of the antichrists, none of the various corrupt impurities and elements of unbelief within their faith in God can be cleansed, and they will hardly attain salvation. We have seen before that many people’s treatment of the practical God was devoid of true love and obedience, and in the end they were all eliminated. It can therefore be said that all those who have no love for the practical God on earth and who do not obey Him are unbelievers and all of a kind with Paul—they appear to serve God but they actually defy God. Those who pursue the truth should learn from these painful lessons; they must seek to know the practical God and achieve a true love for the practical God. Only in this way will they gain God’s praise and obtain His perfection. If people believe in God but stubbornly tread Paul’s path, then no matter how hard they work, certainly none of them will be capable of being compatible with God, they will certainly be condemned and detested by the practical God, and will certainly be punished for defying God. Whether or not someone can know the practical God on earth, whether or not they can revere and obey the practical God and whether or not they can truly love the practical God are key to determining whether or not they can attain salvation and be perfected, and these are also key issues that must be resolved through people’s pursuit of the truth.

In his relationship with God in the flesh, man progresses from opposition to obedience, from persecution to acceptance, from conception to knowledge, and from rejection to love. These are the effects of the work of the incarnate God. Man is only saved through the acceptance of His judgment, only gradually comes to know Him through the words of His mouth, is conquered by Him during his opposition to Him, and receives the life supply from Him during the acceptance of His chastisement. All of this work is the work of God in the flesh, and not the work of God in His identity as the Spirit.” There are many people now who believe in God most enthusiastically and fervently, but because they do not focus on pursuing the truth and they do not understand God’s will, they have never had any true knowledge of the incarnate practical God. So with things this way, where is their true obedience to God? And where is the reality of their love for God? This really does raise questions. When God’s work is concluded, if people are still incapable of being compatible with Christ, if they can still be detested and hated by the practical God and their actions are not deemed praiseworthy by God either, then people like this will absolutely not attain salvation or be perfected. When God’s work first began, it was done to show God’s chosen people the way, to clearly reveal the paths Paul and Peter walked, and their respective ends: The path Paul walked in his serving of God was the path of the antichrists, whereas the path Peter walked was the path of pursuing the truth and truly loving God in order to be perfected. Paul served God but ultimately couldn’t truly love God; instead he hoped in vain to become Christ and to replace the Lord Jesus in people’s hearts. Because Peter truly sought to know the Lord Jesus and was able to truly love Him, he thereby gained God’s praise. There are now many people who, although they believe in the practical God, the path they tread is that of Paul and the antichrists; they are incapable of pursuing the truth and entering into reality, and are incapable of resolving all their various problems of corruption, much less seek to truly love God—they seek only to be rewarded through their work. They can never know the practical God on earth, they have no love or obedience toward God whatsoever and, despite following God for many years, they still haven’t shown any change in their life dispositions. These facts are sufficient to prove that the path these people tread is that of Paul and the antichrists. If they are still unable to repent, then they will be beyond saving, and will have no way to attain God’s salvation and perfection.

Now is the key time of God’s perfection of man. If people still follow the way of Paul to serve God, then they themselves will be utterly forfeit. Whether or not people can be compatible with Christ in their faith in God is therefore crucial and, in fact, the purpose of people’s pursuit of the truth is so that they come to know God and are able to truly love Him—this is the way of compatibility with God. Only when one knows the practical God and when one’s heart is able to truly love the practical God will one’s satanic dispositions and elements of unbelief naturally disappear and become totally resolved, and one will then be assured to be of one mind with God. If someone never pursues the truth and never seeks to know the practical God, and in the end they are incapable of being compatible with Christ, then they will certainly be targets to be exposed and eliminated by God. Therefore, whether or not someone can be compatible with Christ is the standard by which whether or not they can attain salvation and be perfected is measured. All who do not love the practical God and who tread the path of the antichrists, because they do not pursue the truth, they therefore have no true knowledge of God’s work and have no knowledge whatsoever of the practical God incarnate, and they therefore always harbor conceptions, disobedience and defiance. People’s conceptions and defiance of God have also been exposed due to God having become flesh. If God had not clothed Himself in flesh to do His work, people would not have given rise to conceptions about Him. People who believed in the Lord Jesus were all like this in the Age of Grace. If they could not see the Lord Jesus, but could only believe in God according to Biblical records, how then could they have given rise to conceptions about God? People not giving rise to conceptions about God, however, does not mean that they truly obey God, much less does it mean that they are without a God-defying nature. Now, God incarnate has come to do His work on earth. That is, He exposes all man’s corruption, conceptions, natures and essence by means of His flesh, and He uses this opportunity to express the truth, to enact His judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, and His trials and refinement, and this is the optimal way for God to save and perfect man. If God had not become flesh, then there would be no way to expose man’s corrupt dispositions, or their natures and essence, and nor would God have a clear line of sight for expressing the truth to judge and chastise people, to uncover their corrupt essence, and enable them to understand the truth, know themselves and produce true repentance. It can therefore be seen that the optimum result can only be achieved by God incarnating and becoming the practical God to do His work and save mankind. The main reason why people are incapable of being compatible with Christ is because of corrupt mankind’s satanic nature, and they are so full of satanic dispositions that they disobey and defy God. To achieve change in your life disposition and become someone who truly loves and obeys God, then you must understand the truth and enter into reality, and recognize that corrupt mankind all has satanic natures and is all full of satanic dispositions. Here are listed the ten primary manifestations of satanic dispositions that are found within corrupt mankind’s satanic nature, that you may know and discern them:

1. Being arrogant and self-important, thinking oneself the most important person in the world, and not submitting to anyone else. Liking to take the lead in a group of people, always wanting to stand above others and lead them, never being convinced of another’s worth no matter what they do, acting against anyone with status or prestige, and liking to establish one’s own independent kingdoms and lord oneself over others.

2. Always believing oneself to be correct, being arrogant and self-righteous, persisting in one’s old ways and acting wantonly. Handling matters without ever consulting other people, always wanting to have the final say, not allowing any comment from other people irrespective of whether what one does is right or wrong, not listening to other people’s suggestions at all and, if someone else opposes one, one then treats them as one’s enemy.

3. Always loving to exalt oneself and put oneself on display to make others think highly of one, caring most about whether or not one has a place in the hearts of others. Focusing mostly on the opinions others have of one, and liking most of all to have others look highly upon and uphold one; not knowing oneself in the slightest, and simply having no place for God in one’s heart.

4. Having a crooked and deceitful nature, having no sense of justice in the slightest, always watching to see which way the wind is blowing and adapting to changing circumstances. Protecting one’s own status and interests in all things, having a heart filled with satanic philosophies, never opening one’s heart to others or saying what is in one’s heart; being unfathomable to others, and not having the tiniest bit of a God-fearing heart.

5. Being extremely focused on status and reputation, frequently concealing the true state of affairs from above and below oneself and reporting only the good and not the bad. Liking to work just for show so that others approve of and look highly upon one; if one does something wrong, one will conceal the truth or shift the blame onto others. Once one is pruned and dealt with, one becomes extremely negative, writing oneself off as hopeless, acting recklessly and thinking of death as an end to one’s woes.

6. Not seeking the truth when doing things, and being completely unable to accept criticism and suggestions. If someone points out one’s mistakes or prunes and deals with one, then one does all one can to quibble and justify oneself. Still arguing for oneself despite being clearly in the wrong. Being unwilling to accept good suggestions and ways of doing things from others and, when one knows very well that one’s own way is at odds with the truth, one still rigidly persists with it.

7. Having a very jealous heart; when one sees someone else who really is better than oneself, one becomes negative, jealous and resentful. Only allowing others to talk about how good one is and not about how good other people are. Never submitting to people who are better than oneself and, even though one can clearly see the strengths of others, one still denies them, and is unable to treat others fairly.

8. Always having one’s own selfish intentions and aims when doing things, only taking one’s small-time interests into consideration and never thinking about the overall interests of God’s family. At key times, one is preferring to demolish the work of God’s family and wanting to satisfy one’s own desires. No matter how it benefits God’s family, so long as it doesn’t benefit oneself, then one is determined not to practice it.

9. Being especially willing to work alone without consulting others and to show oneself off when doing things. Being most unwilling to see others bring their strengths into play, and even less willing to allow everyone to bring their strengths into play and be trained. One fears being neglected, and not being able to flaunt oneself. Having only oneself in one’s heart and no one else, and having no love at all for anyone else.

10. Taking “gain” as one’s number one priority, so much so that one will cause harm to others for the sake of one’s own interests. It is being exceptionally selfish and contemptible, doing whatever benefits oneself, protecting only one’s own interests and never taking the church’s interests to heart. As long as one can achieve one’s own aims then, even though the church suffers loss, one does not care in the slightest.

If you do not have a thorough understanding of the above 10 manifestations of corrupt mankind’s satanic dispositions, then you will be incapable of truly seeing that your own natures and essence are defying God, and neither will you be able to see mankind’s essence and the truth of their corruption. If people never pursue the truth, they will forever be unable to truly know themselves and never be able to achieve change in their life dispositions. Then they will have no way to achieve compatibility with Christ. Those who understand the truth are all able to recognize that only because people have satanic natures and are all filled with satanic dispositions are they unable to be compatible with Christ, and it makes their faith in God to be filled with corrupt impurities and elements of unbelief. The satanic natures and satanic dispositions within people are the source of their defiance to God. If someone is able to pursue the truth and thereby know the practical God, and if they are able to do their utmost to seek to truly love the practical God, then they will definitely be able to obtain the perfection of the Holy Spirit and, in this way, they will be able to achieve compatibility with Christ. Only achieving compatibility with Christ means that you are someone who has gained the truth and gained God, and only in this way is it guaranteed that you will absolutely never defy God or disobey God again. There are many believers in God who wish to see Christ, who remain unconvinced that man has corrupt natures and are all capable of defying and disobeying God. They always believe that they would never defy God and that they are surely compatible with God. However, their corrupt dispositions are all exposed as they perform their duties, and after experiencing the judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing and trials and refinement of God’s words, they finally recognize that their satanic natures are filled with satanic dispositions, they see clearly the truth of mankind’s corruption, and they come to have true knowledge of their own natures and essence. They truly come to feel that, if they do not pursue the truth, then they will certainly not attain salvation and will not be worthy of being called human. These are all results achieved through experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement. Now, all who understand the truth possess some conscience and reason, and they all wish to endeavor to pursue the truth so that they can perform their duties up to the standard, truly love God and be of one mind with God. People like this are certainly able to attain salvation and be perfected, and they are entirely with the hope that they will witness God’s glorious appearance. Just as God’s words say: “Though most people have become the enemies of God because of this flesh, when He concludes His work, those who are against Him will not only cease to be His enemies, but on the contrary will become His witnesses. They will become the witnesses that have been conquered by Him, witnesses that are compatible with Him and inseparable from Him. He shall cause man to know the importance of His work in the flesh to man, and man shall know the importance of this flesh to the meaning of man’s existence, shall know His real value to the growth of man’s life, and, moreover, shall know that this flesh will become a living fountain of life from which man cannot bear to part.

The key to whether or not someone who believes in God can attain salvation and be perfected depends on whether or not they can achieve compatibility with Christ. It does not depend solely on how great their faith is or how much they’ve suffered—these are not the criteria. Most importantly, it depends on whether or not they can obtain the practical God’s approval and achieve compatibility with Christ—this is most key. However good someone thinks their faith is, this is an untenable position. If, in their heart, they do not have true reverence and obedience for Christ, and have no true love for Him, then they will absolutely not be compatible with Christ. Previously, there were many who saw God’s face, and some even associated with God, however, most of them have not obtained God’s approval. They do not seek to know God, therefore their life dispositions have ultimately still not changed. Only a minority of them have followed constantly till today, and they still pursue the truth and still do everything in their power to fulfill their duty—they certainly have great humanity. God has said many times before that only people like this are the genuine people of the kingdom: Being able to obey God when associating with Him, seeking the truth when conceptions or difficulties arise, focusing on knowing God, and being of one heart with God. These people have always done their duty, and they often keep God in mind. They always lament how they formerly had no true love for God—which has left them with a lifetime of regret—and they feel very indebted to God. Therefore, they are able to pursue the truth, persevere in fulfilling their duties, and only people like this will remain to see God appearing openly. Whereas those who never pursue the truth and who have no place in their hearts for Christ or for the practical God, even doubt constantly, thinking: “Is Christ really God?” and “If He is God, why doesn’t He show us some miracles?” People like this are incapable of following God till the very end, and they are all destined to be exposed and eliminated.

Prior to contact with Christ, you may believe that your disposition has been entirely transformed, you may believe that you are a loyal follower of Christ, and you may believe that you are most worthy to receive the blessings of Christ. For you have traveled many roads, done much work, and brought forth much fruit, so you must be a person who receives the crown in the end. Yet there is one truth that you do not know: The corrupt disposition and rebellion and resistance of man are exposed when he sees Christ, and the rebellion and resistance exposed on such occasion are more absolute and complete than on any other. It is because Christ is the Son of man and possesses normal humanity that man neither honors nor respects Him. It is because God lives in the flesh that the rebellion of man is brought to light thoroughly and vividly. So I say that the coming of Christ has unearthed all the rebellion of mankind and has thrown the nature of mankind into sharp relief. This is called “luring a tiger down the mountain” and “luring a wolf out of the cave.

Some may believe that if association with God is so dangerous, then it would be wise to give God a wide berth. What, then, can such people receive? Can they be loyal to God? Indeed, association with God is very difficult, but that is entirely because man is corrupted and not because God cannot associate with man. It would be best for you to devote more effort on the truth of knowing the self. Why have you not found favor with God? Why is your disposition abominable to Him? Why are your words loathsome to Him? You praise yourselves for your little loyalty and want reward for your small sacrifice; you look down upon others when you show a bit obedience, and become contemptuous of God upon performing some petty work. You wish for riches and gifts and compliments for receiving God. Your heart aches when you give a coin or two; when you give ten, you wish for blessings and to be distinguished from others. A humanity such as yours is really offensive to speak of or hear. What is praiseworthy of your words and actions? Those who perform their duty and those who do not; those who lead and those who follow; those who receive God and those who do not; those who give and those who do not; those who preach and those who receive the word, and so on; all such men praise themselves. Do you not find this laughable? Surely you know that you believe in God, yet you cannot be compatible with God. Surely you know that you are unworthy, yet you remain boastful. Do you not feel that your sense has become such that you no longer have self-control? How can you with such sense be fit for association with God? Now are you not afraid for yourselves? Your disposition has already become such that you cannot be compatible with God. Is your faith not preposterous? Is your faith not absurd? How will you deal with your future? How will you choose the path to travel down?

Achieving compatibility with Christ is not a simple matter. You must pursue the truth and have true knowledge of Christ’s divine essence and, moreover, you must be able to truly love God. In this way, you will naturally become compatible with Christ. Because, for those who truly love God, no matter how normal Christ’s humanity is, it has no impact at all on their obedience and loyalty to God. If people see that Christ has normal humanity, they then doubt Christ and deny that He is God, making themselves people who do not recognize Christ’s divine essence at all; if people have believed in God for many years but are still capable of denying Christ’s divine essence, then they do not know God at all, and they most certainly belong to the antichrist category. All those who do not recognize Christ as God become flesh are the genuine antichrists, and all those who do not acknowledge God incarnate are even more so genuine antichrists. In their experiencing of God’s work, all who pursue the truth must not only recognize Christ’s divine essence, but must also recognize all that He is and has within the normal humanity Christ possesses. Only this is to truly know the practical God and, when it comes to exposing man, challenging and perfecting man to know God and live out a genuine human likeness, Christ’s normal humanity is so very beneficial and meaningful. At this time, people can see how lovable the incarnated practical God is and feel both glory and pride for believing in, serving and worshiping the practical God. They are all, therefore, able to share the bitter and the sweet and share adversity with God, and can all spread the gospel, bear witness for God, serve God and worship God. And for the sake of loving God, bearing witness for God and doing God’s will, they are more than willing to suffer any amount of pain, be of one mind and cooperate closely with the practical God, share the bitter and the sweet, and share adversity—this is what is most blessed by God. To achieve compatibility with Christ and become people who are of one mind with God, God’s chosen people must possess the five realities of the truth listed here below, and only then can they obtain God’s praise:

1. They must obey God’s judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement so as to understand the truth, know the truth and gain the truth.

2. In the fulfillment of their duties, they must hold fast to the principle of absolute obedience to the truth, and become people who truly obey God.

3. They must cast off their satanic corrupt dispositions, and cast off all deceit and deception, and become honest people.

4. They must have a God-fearing heart, and be able to love the practical God even more from the bottom of their heart.

5. They must recognize Christ’s divine essence and what His normal humanity has and is.

Only by achieving the above five criteria will those who believe in God and pursue the truth be able to achieve compatibility with Christ, be unlikely to produce conceptions about God, disobey God or defy God, be able to stand witness and never betray God in the midst of all manner of trials and adversity, and they will be qualified to see God’s face and welcome God’s appearance—this is absolute. These five criteria are both practical and reliable. As long as people do their utmost to pursue the truth and achieve these five criteria, then they will be compatible with Christ, and they will be guaranteed never again to defy God or betray God; only this is to be genuinely perfected by God and to be someone whom God gains.

Although God’s chosen people all desire to pursue the truth and gain the truth, because the majority of them have only experienced God’s work for quite a short time, they still have quite a superficial understanding of the significance of pursuing the truth. They are therefore not yet entirely clear on how to pursue the truth so as to attain salvation and be perfected, and they are limited to certain aspects when it comes to the practice of pursuing the truth. They are unable to focus on key aspects, or principle aspects, so as to understand the truth and enter into reality. We can all see that some people cling to certain ways of doing things and to following rules, and they still handle matters without principles; some people are satisfied merely with understanding doctrine and not doing evil, and they then think they possess the reality of the truth; some people, although they are rash and too hasty and they bustle about performing their duties, this bears no practical results; some people seem to understand the truth, and yet they don’t know how to discern heresies and fallacies, to the point where they employ heresies and fallacies to spread the gospel, and this truly is a matter which shames and defies God; some leaders and workers are unable to see whether or not someone has the reality of the truth, and are unable to clearly distinguish who they should be nurturing and who they should be using. People like this are simply unable to use the truth to resolve practical problems, so how could they possibly lead God’s chosen people into the reality of the truth? Some people, when they are spreading the gospel, although they see people being restrained by their own conceptions and fallacies and being unable to accept the true way, they are still unable to use the truth to dissect these conceptions and fallacies to gain these people; when some see God’s chosen people having all manner of corrupt expressions, they are with anxious hearts and yet they are unable to use the truth to resolve their problems. The kinds of manifestations listed above are sufficient to prove that those without the reality of the truth will find it very difficult to achieve good results in their spreading of the gospel and bearing witness for God. Without the truth, they will have no way to lead God’s chosen people into the reality of the truth, they will have no way to perform their duties up to the standard, and no way to serve God so as to do His will, and these are facts that all who pursue the truth must clearly understand. If people are incapable of pursuing the truth with both feet planted firmly on the ground, then they will be unable to gain the truth or be perfected by God.

Now, although the majority of those who relatively pursue the truth are able to fulfill their duties, because their understanding of the truth is too shallow, this means that they have not entered into the reality of the truth; although some people expend sincerely for God and are able to suffer in the performance of their duties, because they do not practice the truth anywhere near enough, they are far from being qualified to be used by God; some people always follow the rules and basically handle matters without principles, and they are also restrained by various people, matters and things, so much so that they frequently become negative, and people like this are even more so without the reality of the truth; some people are restrained by the influence of the great red dragon and are satisfied merely with having faith in God in their hearts, yet they are unable to faithfully fulfill their duties for God, and they do not bear resounding witness for Him. No matter what trials or adversity they encounter, those who truly love the truth and understand the truth will not become negative; the greater the adversity in their environment, the more they seek the truth, the more they are able to rely on God and the more they do their utmost to reach to truth. Only people like this are the people who genuinely possess resolve and pursue the truth, and who have hope to enter the reality of the truth and bear beautiful, resounding witness for God. All who frequently become negative and backslide when they encounter trials and adversity in their duties, to the point where they even complain, are absolutely not genuine pursuers of the truth, and they have no way to be perfected. Some people, when they see others being arrested, having their houses searched and being tortured, become negative and timid, and they no longer dare to do their duties. These are the people who fear the great red dragon, and they certainly do not truly loathe and forsake the great red dragon. The probability of people like this betraying God is definitely 100 percent; if they are unable to equip themselves with the truth and rise up, then they truly are in such danger. There are many people who are satisfied merely with being able to resolutely believe in God till the last amidst the persecution and adversity of the great red dragon, thinking that this is standing witness and gaining God. There are also some who believe that as long as they expend for God and do some practical things, some good deeds, and as long as they do not deny God or betray God, then this amounts to standing witness and gaining God—this is a great mistake. In fact, only gaining the truth in one’s faith in God is to genuinely gain God, only to genuinely know God is to gain God, and only to truly love God and obey God absolutely is to gain God. Only those who bear beautiful and resounding witness in the midst of the spiritual battle and trials are those who gain God, and are those who are able to gain God’s praise and convince others in heart and by word.

God became flesh in the last days to express the truth and to judge and chastise man so that man may gain the truth, and God tries and refines man to enable man to know and obey God, to change man’s views on things and change their life dispositions. If people are unable to pursue the truth so as to achieve the result of knowing and obeying God, then they have no reality of the truth. When people have not entered into the reality of the truth, then this means they have not gained the truth, and all who do not have the reality of the truth are all capable of betraying God and leaving Him at any time and in any place. We can all see that there are many in religion who have believed in God for many years, even for a lifetime, but have no true knowledge of God and do not have any real change in their life dispositions whatsoever. In particular, the leaders and well-known personages of various denominations within the world of religion—why is it they believe in God all their lives and then turn into antichrists that are condemned by God and abandoned by man? If we cast our minds back to the Age of Grace when Jesus became flesh to do His work, why did the chief priests, scribes and Pharisees believe in God for all those years and yet they resisted Jesus? Paul in particular. After he wildly resisted Jesus, up until the time he saw the appearance of God, he was called to be an apostle and to spread the gospel. So why didn’t he have any true knowledge of God, and why did he ultimately become the classic representation of someone who appears to serve God but who actually defies Him? In the Age of Kingdom, when Jesus returns in the flesh, why is it that the majority of pastors and leaders in Christianity and Catholicism can become antichrists? Such a tragic matter really makes one think. Why is it that people can believe in God for so many years and yet still become antichrists? The reason is because they don’t pursue the truth and they don’t know God. Pursuing the truth is done for the sake of knowing God. When one truly knows God, then one will have gained the truth, and only gaining the truth is to truly gain God. No matter how great their faith or how determined they are to believe in God, those who have not gained the truth will ultimately still defy and betray God. Pursuing the truth and gaining the truth in one’s faith in God is therefore crucial, and it is so very key. So, to what level exactly must one’s faith reach in order to attain salvation and be perfected? Actually, the criterion for attaining salvation and being perfected is to achieve compatibility with Christ. Only by achieving compatibility with Christ can one be certain never to defy or betray God. Therefore, only by pursuing the truth to know God and gain God can one be certain never to defy or betray God. Those who now pursue the truth know very well that only those who know God and obey God in their faith and who become people who truly love God are the ones who truly gain God, who are truly compatible with Christ and who are able to obtain God’s praise. If people cannot truly love God or obey God in their faith, then they cannot attain salvation, and the probability of them betraying God remains at 100 percent. Therefore, all who believe in God but do not know Him, and all who believe in God but who are ultimately unable to truly love Him are people who are opposed to God, whose faith in God has failed—this is beyond all doubt. To achieve compatibility with Christ, one must pursue the truth and achieve many different results. Only then can one resolve the problem of mankind’s deep corruption and their nature and essence that defy God, only then can one resolve all the various impurities in one’s faith in God and the elements of unbelief one harbors toward Christ, and only then can one resolve all one’s conceptions and absurdity and various satanic dispositions that defy God. If someone is unable to pursue the truth and achieve all these different results, then they will be unable to truly obey God and serve God, and will therefore have no way to achieve compatibility with Christ. Although God’s chosen people are focusing on pursuing the truth to become people who love God and achieve compatibility with Christ, and they know very well that only by pursuing the truth can they attain salvation and be perfected, most of them don’t know which aspects to pursue the truth in so as to achieve these results. This is a practical problem which exists with God’s chosen people and which must be fellowshiped about clearly. Below are listed detailed explanations of the ten results which must be achieved through pursuing the truth:

1. One Must Know God’s Work Through Pursuing the Truth

One must know God’s work in one’s faith in God, and this is key to knowing God. The most important thing to knowing God’s work is that one must recognize that God expresses the truth to judge and chastise corrupt mankind, and pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement are involved, and that this is the most effective way to save and perfect people. One must also recognize that God’s almightiness, wisdom and His disposition are all revealed in His work, and all of God’s words are the expressions of His disposition, and all represent His life essence. Therefore, experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, as well as pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement is key to attaining salvation and being perfected. Experiencing God’s work amounts to experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, as well as experiencing God’s pruning and dealing, trials and refinement. All the pruning and dealing, trials and refinement people encounter during the process of experiencing God’s words so as to practice the truth in their duties, all pertain to the judgment and chastisement of God’s words. All the results achieved through experiencing God’s work are the results of experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, and are the results of experiencing pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement. Only those who experience the judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing and trials and refinement of God’s words are those who genuinely experience God’s work. If someone has believed in God for many years but has never experienced the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, and has very seldom experienced pruning, dealing, trials and refinement, then it can be said with certainty that people like this simply have not experienced God’s work. The more people experience the judgment and chastisement of God’s words and the more they experience pruning and dealing and trials and refinement, the deeper their understanding becomes of the truth of their own corruption and of their nature and essence. They are then able to truly know themselves and are certain to produce true repentance and change, and are then certainly able to perform their duties up to the standard, and this is the result achieved only through truly experiencing God’s work. Only those who, while experiencing God’s work, are able to know God, truly love and obey God, and also bear witness for God and serve God, are the people who genuinely pursue the truth, attain salvation and are perfected; only those who truly experience God’s work and see that everything God does is salvation and is love for mankind, are the people who truly know God’s work. Knowing God is a result achieved through pursuing the truth whilst experiencing and obeying God’s work and, in fact, those who know God’s work are the people who know God.

2. One Must Achieve the Result of Practicing the Truth and Obeying God Through Pursuing the Truth

Pursuing the truth is done to understand the truth and gain the truth, and to understand and gain the truth is to gain eternal life and gain God, and one can then be used by God to serve Him. This is the highest honor for a created being and, of course, it is the greatest blessing. Only those who achieve the result of practicing the truth and obeying God through pursuing the truth are those who genuinely pursue the truth. The key to determining whether or not someone truly pursues the truth is to look at whether or not they can practice the truth. Only those who are able to practice the truth obey God, whereas those who are unable to practice the truth do not obey God, and this is beyond all doubt. Although there is no limit to pursuing the truth, regardless of how deep or shallow one’s understanding of the truth is one should put it into practice, and one gradually advances deeper into practicing the truth to achieve the result of obedience to God—this is the principle of practice of pursuing the truth. There are many who believe that they understand all truths, but they don’t practice them. People like this do not love the truth and are absolutely not people who obey God. Although they appear very enthusiastic in their faith, they are still absolutely not people who practice the truth. Those who truly pursue the truth are sure to be people who love the truth, and only those who love the truth are willing to practice the truth. No matter how deep or shallow their understanding of the truth is, so long as their conscience verifies that it is what a human should do, then they should do so; so long as they understand the truth in their hearts, then it will be incumbent upon them, and they will be duty-bound, to practice the truth. Only by doing this are they people who truly obey God. Whether or not someone truly loves the truth depends mainly on whether or not they can practice the truth. Only those who practice the truth love the truth and pursue the truth. The attitude people have toward the truth is the attitude they have toward God, and however they approach the truth, so do they approach God. This is absolutely true. Only those who sincerely love, cherish, yearn for, respect and exalt the truth genuinely revere God and truly love God, only those who love the truth have a heart that obeys God, and only those who can genuinely practice the truth truly obey God. By measuring people in this way, you will certainly not go wrong. Only those who achieve the result of practicing the truth and obeying God through pursuing the truth are those who genuinely pursue the truth. If someone thinks they understand many truths but can never become someone who truly obeys God, then they have not gained the truth and they have no reality of the truth whatsoever, and this is beyond all doubt.

3. One Must Achieve the Result of Competently Performing One’s Duty Through Pursuing the Truth

Performing one’s duties competently is not a simple matter. One must understand many truths and understand God’s will, as well as grasp the principles of practice. Also, one must forsake the flesh to be able to understand and practice many truths and obey God absolutely. Only in this way can one perform one’s duties competently. Competently performing one’s duties is entirely based on understanding the truth and practicing the truth. Moreover, one must have a change in one’s life disposition, and be able to truly love God and be of one mind with God. Only in this way can one suffer, pay the price and be utterly devoted to fulfilling one’s duty, and only this means that one has met the criterion for and achieved the result of competently performing one’s duty. First of all, one must understand many truths to fulfill one’s duty. Because people do not understand the truth, they have no goal and no standards in their duties, much less any principles, to the point where they cannot even find the path to achieve results when doing their duties. For example, if someone who is hosting God’s chosen people does not have the truth, then they will have no principles of practice, and they will not know how to host in a way that conforms to God’s will. In this way, they will easily follow the preferences of the flesh and even act wantonly, with the result that they do not take care of those they should be hosting, and they host those they should not be hosting—this means that they are violating principles and not fulfilling their duty. If people truly understand the truth then they are able to perform the work of hosting in accordance with principles, they will know how to approach people’s transgressions and expressions of corruption, they will know how to help them with a loving heart, they will be able to be patient and tolerant, be able to distinguish evil spirits, antichrists and wicked people and then reject them, be able to treat people fairly in accordance with principles and be able to associate normally with people; in this way they achieve the standard of competently performing their duty. Spreading the gospel is another example. When people have too little understanding of the truth, they are then unable to spread the gospel and bear witness for God. Gospel objects ask lots of questions to find out more about the true way, but they are unable to answer. In particular, when gospel objects have conceptions and misunderstandings about God, without the truth those who spread the gospel are not only unable to resolve these problems, but can also easily become confused and suffer harm. To take another example, if leaders and workers do not understand the truth, then they are unable to resolve the problems of God’s chosen people with the truth, and they are incapable of action to counter the many problems that arise within the church. Therefore, to competently perform your duty, you must pursue the truth so as to understand and gain the truth. In this way then, no matter what duty it is that you do, you will always achieve results, will always be able to satisfy God and, furthermore, will feel relaxed and happy, liberated and free, and you will not feel restrained by any person, matter or thing. Also, when you fellowship about the truth with others, you will easily solve their problems and enable them to feel benefited and liberated. These are all results achieved by people understanding the truth and handling matters with principle. Only by pursuing the truth and entering into the reality of the truth can one competently perform one’s duty, and only someone who competently performs their duty through pursuing the truth is someone who genuinely enters into the reality of the truth. This is because only those who pursue the truth most devote attention to reality and focus most on handling matters with principle to achieve results, and only handling matters with principle means basically that one is competently performing one’s duty.

4. One Must Achieve the Result of Spreading the Gospel and Bearing Witness for God Through Pursuing the Truth

To spread the gospel and bear witness for God, one must understand many truths before one can achieve results. Because there are many problems related to spreading the gospel and bearing witness for God, one must possess the truth before one can resolve them. If one has too little understanding of the truth, then this will have a direct impact on the results of spreading the gospel and bearing witness for God. Therefore, whether or not someone has the reality of the truth is most clearly shown by whether or not they are able to spread the gospel and bear witness for God. Whether or not someone can finally attain salvation and be perfected through experiencing God’s work depends mainly on whether or not they can spread the gospel and bear witness for God, whether or not they can truly bring others before God, whether or not they can lead others into the reality of the truth of God’s words, and whether or not they can defeat Satan’s evil forces and effectively promote the work of spreading the kingdom gospel and move it forward; this is the essential work of serving God, and it is key to doing God’s will. Therefore, spreading the gospel and bearing witness for God is a great challenge facing all who believe in Him. Those without the truth are unable to spread the gospel and bear witness for God; only those who have a better and clearer understanding of the truth will be able to perform great deeds with spreading the gospel and bearing witness for God. Some people, when they spread the gospel and bear witness for God, are only able to bring people before God and bring them into the church. They are unable, however, to lead them into the reality of the truth of God’s words or enable them to lay foundations on the true way, and this is also because they have too shallow an understanding of the truth and have not entered into the reality of the truth—this is a fact. If someone truly possesses the reality of the truth, then not only will they be able to spread the gospel, bear witness for God and bring people before God, but they will also be able to apply the truth to resolve people’s conceptions, mistaken presumptions and deviations, they will be able to expose and dissect according to God’s words the problem of people’s essence defying and disobeying against God, and furthermore they will be able to help people understand the truth and come to know their own nature and essence and the truth of their own corruption, thus enabling them to enter into the reality of the truth. Only people like this are the ones who genuinely understand the truth and gain the truth. If someone has understood the truth, entered into reality and genuinely gained the truth, then they will certainly be able to perform even greater deeds with spreading the gospel and bearing witness for God. If someone can only bring people into the church when they spread the gospel and bear witness for God, then this shows that they can only fulfill one aspect of their duty. If someone, when they spread the gospel and bear witness for God, can not only gain people and bring them into the church, but can also water and supply them, lead them into the reality of the truth and, furthermore, defeat all of Satan’s evil forces in the spiritual battle, thoroughly smash the wild attack of the antichrists of the world of religion, do their utmost to spread God’s words, truly and effectively bear witness to God’s work, fight back against all of Satan’s heresies and fallacies, and be able to effectively promote the spreading of the kingdom gospel and move it toward its climax, then this means that they have genuinely become a true witness of Christ of the last days. Only this is someone who truly knows God, and truly they are the specimens and models made by God in His work of the last days.

5. One Must Achieve the Result of Being an Honest Person and Living Out a True Human Likeness Through Pursuing the Truth

There are many who are now training to become honest people, all using their own methods and ways and principles. After practicing for several years, they sigh when they see how little progress they have made. The reason for this is because being an honest person is not a simple matter. One must pursue the truth to resolve all manner of satanic dispositions, and only then can one achieve the result of becoming an honest person. Most people take a much too simplistic view of being honest, thinking to achieve it merely by practicing and adhering to some rules. Yet they haven’t expected that, by relying on their flesh, they are not even able to adhere to rules, and they are ultimately convinced of the truth of God’s words—nothing can be achieved when someone does not have the truth. To be an honest person, one must experience the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, and must experience much pruning and dealing and many trials and refinements, and only then can one’s life disposition be changed. People now feel that being a good person is not easy, but being an honest person is even harder. The process to becoming an honest person is in fact the process of attaining salvation and being perfected. Becoming an honest person is the result achieved by changing one’s life disposition, and the criteria to becoming an honest person are the same criteria to attain salvation and be perfected. Therefore, to be an honest person one must pursue the truth before one can achieve any results; only an honest person can live out a new human likeness, and only an honest person can live out a true human image. Why does God over and again require people to be honest people? This is deeply significant. God loves honest people and loathes deceitful people. If someone believes in God but does not seek to become an honest person, then they will never obtain God’s blessing. When someone is not an honest person then they are unworthy to be called human, and they then cannot attain salvation—this is beyond all doubt. Being an honest person is definitely not a simple matter. One must experience God’s judgment and chastisement, experience much pruning and dealing and also experience many trials and refinements, and one must pursue the truth unswervingly and strive for God’s requirements. When someone truly knows God and within them there arises a God-loving heart, they then find it easy to practice the truth and, further, they then love to be an honest person. At that time, they naturally become an honest person and this is a result achieved through pursuing the truth, and even more so it is a result achieved through experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement. If one does not pursue the truth, then they will never become an honest person, and if they do not become an honest person, then they will never attain salvation.

6. One Must Achieve the Result of Recognizing the Truth of Mankind’s Corruption, Their Natures and Essence, and the Source of the World’s Darkness Through Pursuing the Truth

All who understand the truth know very well that to truly know oneself is really not easy. One absolutely cannot really know oneself by believing in God and reading God’s words for a few years on one’s own. Instead, one must experience the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, and experience pruning and dealing, and one must also experience being exposed through many trials and refinements. Only then is one able to really recognize the truth of mankind’s corruption, as well as their natures and essence. We can all see that the majority of those who have believed in God for several years and have some experience still speak letters and doctrines and have not entered into the reality of the truth. The reason for this is because they have too shallow an understanding of the truth, and because they have not clearly recognized the truth of mankind’s corruption and their natures and essence. They therefore find it very difficult to achieve the result of entering into reality in their practice of the truth; they know only to adhere to and follow the rules. When people eat and drink the words of God and understand some truths and, in particular, after they experience pruning, dealing, trials and refinement, the truth of their corruption is revealed, they will see the results achieved through the judgment and chastisement of God’s words and they ultimately see their own true face. Only then do they prostrate themselves on the ground and feel too ashamed to show their faces, acknowledging that they truly are the devil Satan and are unworthy to be called human. Only when people believe in God and experience God’s work to this stage do they truly know themselves, and within them there arises a heart of true remorse and self-hatred. It can therefore be seen that experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words is no simple matter, and one can achieve results only by undergoing pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement. Only those who truly have life experience know what true self-knowledge is. Without having experienced seven or eight years of God’s judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement, people will absolutely not be able to achieve self-knowledge—this is real. Unless someone has been exposed in trials, or has failed and fallen down, then they will never be convinced. Some people will say that anyone who understands some truths will have some knowledge of themselves—this is not wrong, and I do not deny this at all. But what I am speaking of is true self-knowledge. To truly know oneself, one must be able to see clearly the truth of one’s own corruption, nature and essence. Knowing a little about one’s own corrupt dispositions is not truly knowing oneself and, if someone only has that stature, then they will never acknowledge the fact that corrupt mankind has no humanity and are all devils. Some people have served as leaders and workers for several years but are never able to do practical work, and in the end they acknowledge that they do not possess the reality of the truth. Some people, only after they have been arrested and become Judases, acknowledge that they do not possess the reality of the truth. It can therefore be seen that, unless someone has failed and fallen down, then they are unable to truly examine themselves and know themselves. When someone truly knows their own self, they are then able to see clearly the true state of the whole of corrupt mankind’s defiance and betrayal of God, they are able to penetrate through to the source of the world’s darkness, and even more so they are able to see through the evil essence of world trends, for all these things are directly related to whether or not they truly know their own self. The essence of the nature of the whole of corrupt mankind is the essence of defiance and betrayal of God, more or less. Therefore, those who truly know themselves can clearly see that the whole of mankind dearly needs God’s salvation, and that only the incarnated practical God can save corrupt mankind from the dark influence of Satan and enable them to truly return to God and achieve compatibility with Him. Knowing oneself is a result that must be achieved through pursuing the truth, and knowing oneself is also the start of life entry. Only those who truly know themselves and can pursue the truth are those who enter onto the right track of belief in God.

7. One Must Achieve the Result of Viewpoint Transformation and Dispositional Change Through Pursuing the Truth

There are many people who believe that, by understanding a little truth and transforming their viewpoints somewhat, they thereby attain salvation and are perfected. In actual fact, people have a much too simplistic view of the relationship between viewpoint transformation and dispositional change. Those who really understand the truth and gain the truth never just transform their viewpoints on one or two things, but instead they transform their viewpoints on many things, until they reach a thorough transformation of their outlooks on life and values—only this is to truly understand and gain the truth. It is not the case that, by transforming one’s viewpoints on one or two things, one can then achieve a transformation in one’s outlooks on life and values. Only achieving a complete transformation of one’s outlooks on life and values proves that one truly understands the truth and has gained the truth. There is a direct link between viewpoint transformation and dispositional change. Some people understand a few truths and transform their viewpoints somewhat, but their life dispositions do not change at all. What kind of problem is this, exactly? The reason is actually very simple. Only when someone’s outlooks on life and values are utterly transformed can their life disposition then change. It can therefore be seen that the transformation of someone’s outlooks on life and values is the wind vane of change in their life disposition. Therefore, someone understanding a little truth and somewhat transforming their viewpoints is no representation of a complete transformation of their outlooks on life and values. Those who truly gain the truth have transformed their opinions and views of all of life’s problems and of all people, matters and things throughout the entire human world. Furthermore, their opinions and views have totally conformed with God’s words, the truth, and have completely met God’s requirements. Only these people gain the truth and know God and, at this time, their life dispositions change naturally and they become entirely capable of practicing the truth and obeying God, and they can also truly love and serve God. Those who truly know God are then capable of realizing the true meaning and value of living by God’s words. For mankind to leave God and betray God means darkness and death—this is the fundamental reason for death amongst mankind. Only by obeying God and worshiping God can mankind attain God’s blessing of eternal life. Therefore, only gaining the truth is gaining God and, when one has gained the truth, one then becomes willing to devote one’s whole life to doing God’s will, and becomes willing to bear witness for God and serve God forever without regret. Only people like this are the ones who achieve viewpoint transformation and a complete change in their life dispositions.

8. One Must Achieve the Result of Knowing God’s Disposition and Essence Through Pursuing the Truth

The ultimate aim for pursuing the truth is to know and love God. If someone truly knows God then they can love God and, when their heart truly loves God, they then become someone who is compatible with Christ. To “know God” means to know God’s disposition and His life essence. To achieve the result of knowing God’s disposition, one cannot merely depend on one’s understanding of doctrine; one must experience God’s judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing, and trials and refinement, and only then can this result be achieved. There are so many things of what God has and is within His disposition. Here are some examples: God loves honest people and detests deceitful people; God hates wicked people, and wicked people must be punished; God curses the devil Satan; God speaks and it is done, He commands and it stands fast; God is as good as His word, and His word shall be accomplished, and that which is accomplished lasts forever; God raises up the poor; God is humble and hidden; God exalts the humble and shames the haughty; those whom God would destroy He first makes mad; God hides Himself from the sordid place and appears to the holy kingdom; God shows great wrath while the old world exists; the utmost significance of God’s joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness. All these examples represent God’s life essence. It can therefore be seen that knowing God’s disposition is neither simple nor easy, and one must pursue the truth. They must experience God’s judgment and chastisement, pruning and dealing and all kinds of trials and refinement so as to understand many truths, and only then can they attain true knowledge of God. When someone has experienced God’s work deeply enough and has understood many truths, when they are able to see many facts that corroborate how God loves honest people, how He hates wicked people, how He curses Satan, how He exposes and weeds out those who do not love the truth, how He punishes antichrists and the wicked, and how He perfects those who pursue the truth, and when they are able to apply experiences and facts to verify all of God’s words and, in particular, when they experience the judgment, chastisement, pruning and dealing of God’s words, as well as the exposing of trials, refinement, pain and adversity so that, ultimately, they verify the authenticity of God’s words, verify that God’s words are indeed the immutable truth and they become convinced in heart and by word, they are then able to praise and worship God from the bottom of their hearts. This then means that they have come to know God, and all these results are obtained through man encountering God’s righteous disposition. When someone has these practical experiences and finally comes to comprehend and know God’s disposition, then these are the results obtained from their experiencing God’s work. At the same time, they can see from God’s work that what befalls the many wicked people and antichrists is all God’s wrath, cursing, punishment and retribution and, from this, they see God’s disposition revealed. They then see that the things that befall the whole of corrupt mankind and the evil world are also the righteous judgment and chastisement of God, and this is even more so the revealing of God’s disposition. These insights are the results obtained through experiencing God’s work. When someone has seen enough of God’s disposition revealed and they have sufficiently deep knowledge of it, they will then have true knowledge of God’s life essence, and they are then able to say these kinds of words which bear clear witness for God: “God’s life essence is love, righteousness and truth.” God’s disposition and His life essence are inextricable, and what God’s life essence exhibits is His disposition—God’s disposition is a complete representation of His life essence. Therefore, knowing God’s disposition and essence can only be achieved through pursuing the truth, and this result is obtained entirely through experiencing and knowing God’s work. But because God’s disposition and life essence are so profound and so great that mankind can never completely experience and know them, before God people are all as babes, regardless of how many years they have believed in God for. This is precisely how it is. Knowing God is never-ending, and pursuing the truth is never-ending, for God is so great, and man is so insignificant.

9. One Must Achieve the Result of Truly Loving God and Living Out the Image of Loving God Through Pursuing the Truth

To believe in God is easy, but to truly love God is not. There are many who never understand why loving God is so difficult; their hearts all want to love God, but they cannot do it. What kind of problem is this, exactly? The reason is very simple. It is because mankind is too deeply corrupt, so much so that the essence of man is similar to the nature of Satan. Man has lost the conscience and reason of normal humanity, they all love flesh and wickedness, and the love they bear in their hearts for the truth is so little as to be not worth mentioning. Moreover, man does not know God, so how could a God-loving heart arise? To love God, man must pass through God’s salvation and perfection and achieve an understanding of the truth, and only then can they genuinely love the truth and truly love God. If someone can love God without having passed through God’s salvation and perfection, then this shows that they have not been corrupted. Is the ability to love God not the best kind of humanity? So how come they still need God’s salvation and perfection? Therefore, to achieve the result of truly loving God and living out the image of loving God, one must pursue the truth. Needless to say, loving God is not easy, for this is a criterion for being perfected. For someone to put a little truth into practice and fulfill their present duty is very difficult, and the reason for this is because mankind has been corrupted too deeply by Satan. It is very difficult for someone to do a good deed that they are supposed to do, and only after undergoing many days of thought and struggle can they then force themselves to make up their mind to do it. Although doing one good thing is not difficult, doing a good deed that is without impurity and is not done for oneself is very difficult, never mind spending one’s entire life doing good things. Therefore, if someone does not pursue the truth for several years and does not experience the many pains of judgment and chastisement, trials and refinement, then they will be incapable of loving God. If someone truly has a conscience and can rely on it to love God, then they are someone with the best character. To truly love God and live out the image of loving God, however, one must pass through God’s salvation and perfection, and this is beyond all doubt. For example, to put loving God into practice, one must at least be able to practice the truth and obey God. This is really difficult because one cannot be someone who obeys God by practicing the truth only once every now and then. Rather one can only become someone who truly obeys God when one is able to practice the truth in all things. If someone does not understand the truth and has no principles of practice in many things, are they then able to practice the truth and obey God? Besides, performing one’s duty to repay God’s love is the minimum requirement of loving God, and to fulfill one’s duty one must at least not be slipshod in work and not cheat God, and one must also be considerate toward God’s will and practice the truth. Only then can one satisfy God. To achieve this, one will need to be capable of enduring suffering, paying the price and being devoted to God. To lead God’s chosen people into the reality of the truth, leaders and workers must do much practical work. This requires them to abandon all things and follow God, to not be restrained by any person, matter or thing and to obey God absolutely, which requires them to endure more suffering and to pay more price. Therefore, if someone does not have a God-loving heart, they will be unable to endure neither the suffering nor the price they have to pay. How then could they live out the image of loving God? Those whose hearts truly love God have no difficulties and suffer no restraint, and are able to competently perform their duties. Because their hearts love God, they fear to cause God grief, they fear to fool God or cheat God and, even more so, they fear to do evil and defy God. No matter the issue, if they go against the truth, their conscience will suffer reproach, torment and pain. As long as they have the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, then they are able to practice the truth, and their hearts are then filled with enjoyment, so they wish to obey and satisfy God. The moment they do something wrong, their conscience suffers such strong reproach and they see themselves as someone who truly defies God, and that is something most painful and regretful for them. This result is obtained entirely through experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement. So to those who love God, enduring suffering and exhaustion for the sake of loving and satisfying God is no hardship, and instead they feel enjoyment, and they feel relaxed, liberated and free. In fact, so-called pain and happiness are entirely determined on the basis of whether or not someone has a God-loving heart. Sometimes, when there is something which those who do not love God perceive as painful, those who do love God will perceive it as enjoyment, and when there is something which those who do not love God perceive as happy, those who do love God will perceive it as painful. What exactly is the situation here? This is because, when someone sincerely loves God, their life disposition will have already been changed and they will have entirely become a newly-created person, and so their viewpoints will be different, as will their life feelings. Those who truly love God, therefore, are able to live out the image of loving God, and this is the genuine human image of man originally created by God. When someone’s love for God reaches its zenith, they then become a righteous person, a holy person, and they are then qualified to inherit God’s promises.

10. One Must Achieve the Result of Living by God’s Words and Devoting One’s Life to Doing God’s Will Through Pursuing the Truth

Those who have been perfected by God are able to live by God’s words. Being able to seek the truth and practice the truth in all things is to live by God’s words, as is being able to truly love and obey God. If they depart from God’s words then they will feel pain and emptiness and, as long as they are able to eat and drink the words of God, fellowship about His words and enjoy His words, then they will feel enriched, energized in life, and will feel that man must live to do their duty and must live to do God’s will. People like this already understand the truth and have gained the truth, they suffer no restraint from any person, matter or thing when they expend for God, and they are able to be devoted to God and obey God absolutely; no matter how much pain they suffer, they will not complain, much less betray God. If those who pursue the truth can reach the realm of knowing God, loving God and obeying God, then they will be able to live by God’s words, and God’s words will become their basis for survival. When someone lives by God’s words, they become willing to live to do God’s will. If they do not live to expend for the sake of doing God’s will and they cannot do any practical work, then they will feel that they are wasting precious time and will feel that they are not worthy to be called human. Therefore, amongst those who understand the truth and know God, there is not one who does not love God, and not one who does not devote their whole life to doing God’s will. The more someone understands the truth, the more they become willing to fulfill their duty and do more practical work in order to bear testimony for God. They think only this does not amount to a waste of precious time, and only living in this way has value and meaning. The thing that those who live by God’s words all like to do most is to perform their duty and serve God, because only by competently doing their duty do they love God, bear testimony for God, serve God and are they able to do God’s will. All of God’s words are words which enable man to attain salvation, they are all words which enable man to know God, and they are all words which allow man to perform their duties and live out a meaningful life. By living by God’s words, one lives out a true human likeness and one lives out the image of loving God. Truly, this is the most meaningful, most valuable life. Amongst those who truly love God there is not one who wastes precious time, there are none who live to eat or who live for their bellies, and none who live for empty fame or for status, much less are there any who live for their parents or their children. To live by God’s words is to live by the truth, and this means to live according to God’s will and His requirements and, even more so, it is to live to do God’s will. The more someone understands the truth and gains the truth, the more they live a life of value and meaning. True human beings live to serve God, to worship God without cease and to love God without regret—this is the aim and the result which those who pursue the truth must achieve.

Above are the 10 results which must be achieved through pursuing the truth. Only someone who has achieved these 10 results through pursuing the truth is someone who has truly gained the truth and been perfected by God, and has become one who truly loves God. In this way, this person truly achieves compatibility with Christ. It can therefore be seen that pursuing the truth is not a simple matter. When someone truly understands a little truth, they are then able to perceive the true significance of pursuing the truth. All of man’s corruption is resolved through understanding the truth. The more one pursues the truth the deeper one comes to know oneself, and the more one understands the truth the more one can see one’s own shortcomings. Thus, one is then able to perceive that nothing can be achieved by not pursuing the truth, and that corrupt mankind is worthless, that they are dust and dirt. Only by pursuing the truth can one possess some humanity and do some human work, and only by pursuing the truth can one live out some human likeness and meet God’s requirement to be compatible with Christ. If someone does not pursue the truth, then they will be incapable of achieving compatibility with Christ and unworthy to be called human or to live on this earth, and they should be cursed and destroyed. Now there are many who pursue the truth who sense the emptiness of life and sense that, if they did not pursue the truth, then their lives really would be without meaning. Their hearts, therefore, thirst for the truth more and more. They are all able to sense that there are so many problems to be resolved through pursuing the truth, and so their scope for pursuing the truth becomes broader and broader. If someone is able to pursue the truth unswervingly, then they will certainly be able to live by God’s words and make God’s words into their basis for survival; in this way, they will naturally achieve compatibility with Christ. When someone truly gains the truth, then this amounts to them truly attaining salvation and being perfected. When this happens, they then live only to spread the gospel, bear testimony for God and do God’s will. Only this is truly loving God and serving God, and only this is living a genuine life. It can therefore be seen that when someone achieves these 10 results through pursuing the truth, they then truly attain salvation and are perfected and become someone who is genuinely compatible with Christ. To pursue the truth is to live in the light and to tread the path of light—pursuing the truth, knowing the truth and gaining the truth are truly glorious.

Today, God incarnate has come to do His work on earth, and He requires that man achieve knowledge of Him, obedience to Him, testimony to Him—know His practical and normal work, obey all of His words and work which do not accord with the conceptions of man, and bear testimony to all His work of saving man, and all the deeds He does that conquer man.” God’s words are very clear. The practical God incarnate expresses the truth to judge and chastise corrupt mankind, so that man may know Him, obey Him and bear testimony for Him. If someone has experienced God’s work for several years but does not know the practical God incarnate and does not obey Him, how then can they bear testimony to the practical God’s work? And how can they achieve compatibility with Christ? If someone has no reverence for the practical God and does not obey Him, then they will certainly have no true knowledge of God. And if someone does not know the practical God then how can they attain salvation and be perfected? All who pursue the truth should be clear on this: “One of the purposes of this incarnation is to conquer people. Another is to perfect the people He loves. He desires to see with His own eyes the people He perfects, and He wants to see for Himself how the people He perfects bear witness for Him.” This is God’s will, and it is God’s requirement. If someone cannot truly bear witness for the practical God’s work, cannot competently do their duty and cannot spread the gospel to gain more people, then they are not sincerely expending for God and are not someone who is of one mind with God. God wants to see for Himself how the people He perfects bear witness for Him, and He wants to see the unprecedented magnificence of the expansion of the kingdom gospel, for only in this way will God’s work reach its glorious conclusion. Now, God’s chosen people are all training to spread the gospel and bear witness for God, and they are training to fellowship about the truth to bear witness for God’s work and do their utmost to bring even more people before God to glorify and satisfy God—this truly is achieving compatibility with Christ. Now is precisely the key time of God’s perfection of man, and it is the time when God uses the great red dragon in His service to expose people, weed them out and determine people’s ends. If, during the expansion of the kingdom gospel, God’s chosen people who pursue the truth can bear good testimony to God’s work, allow others to see His deeds, bring all those who wish to delve further into the true way before God, help them lay foundations on the true way, and enable God’s chosen people to hate and forsake the great red dragon and turn back to God, then they will have attained salvation and been perfected, and these are the people whom God gains and who are of one mind with God. This completely fulfills God’s words which say: “Proof of the great red dragon’s progressive collapse can be seen in the continued maturation of the people.” At this time, God will begin to formally chastise the great red dragon, and God’s work will thereupon be concluded. During the expansion of the kingdom gospel, whether or not someone can attain salvation and be perfected depends on whether or not they know and obey God, and whether or not they can spread the gospel and bear testimony for God. If, during trials, God’s chosen people can competently perform their duties, focus on spreading the gospel and bearing testimony for God in any given environment, gain more people to glorify God and bear resounding testimony for God, then they will have genuinely matured, will have become compatible with Christ and will be people of one mind with God. Thus God will truly gain glory!
