The reason why God is incarnated is that the object of his work is man of flesh corrupted by satan, not the spirit of satan or anything that is not of flesh. Because man’s flesh is corrupted, he takes man of flesh as the object of his work. And even more because man is the object of corruption, no matter which stage of the work of salvation he does, he chooses man to be the only object of his work. Man is a mortal being and is of flesh, and God is the only One who can save man. So, for God to do his work, it is necessary for him to become flesh that has the same attribute as man, so that he can achieve better working results. Because man is of flesh and has no ability to overcome sin and break free from the flesh, for God to do his work, he has to become flesh to do it. Although the substance and the identity of God incarnate are greatly different from those of man, he looks the same as man in appearance. He has a normal human appearance and has a normal human life. People cannot at all discover any differences between him and a normal man. This normal appearance and this normal humanity are adequate for him to do the work of divinity he does in his normal humanity. His flesh is advantageous to his work in his normal humanity and advantageous to his work among people. And his normal humanity is more advantageous to his work of salvation among people. Although his normal humanity causes many stirs among people, these stirs do not affect the normal results of his work. All in all, the work of his normal flesh is of great benefit to people. Although most people cannot accept his normal humanity, his work can still produce the results and such results are produced through his normal humanity. This is beyond doubt. The things that his working in the flesh causes people to gain are ten times or dozens of times more than the notions they have about his normal humanity. And all these notions will eventually be drowned by the work he does. The results produced by his work, that is, people’s knowledge of him, will far outnumber their notions about him. His work in the flesh is unimaginable and immeasurable, because his flesh is not the same as that of any man of flesh, same in outer shell but different in substance. Because of his flesh, people have many notions about God, but his flesh can also cause people to gain much knowledge, and his flesh can even conquer any man who has an outer shell similar to his, because he is not just a man but God with a human shell. No one can fully fathom him, and no one can fully know him. The invisible and untouchable God is adored and welcomed by all people. If God is only a Spirit invisible to people, it is very easy for them to believe in God. They can imagine as they like and choose any image they like to be God’s image, so that they can be happy and glad in their heart. Then, they can do things without scruple that their “gods” most like and want to do. And they all think that only they themselves are the ones who are most faithful and devout toward “God,” while others are all Gentile dogs and are all the ones who are unfaithful to God. It can be said that those who believe in God in vagueness and doctrines all pursue in such a way, which is similar and not greatly different; it is only that the gods in their imagination are different in image, but their substance is the same.
When people believe in God casually, they are carefree, believing in whatever way they like. This is their “human right and freedom” and no one can interfere. This is because what people believe in is their own god and not others’ god, which is their private possession. Almost everyone possesses such private possession. Although such possession is very precious in people’s eyes, it is the lowest and most worthless thing in God’s eyes, because this private possession of people is just the most obvious thing that is contrary to God. Because God is incarnated to work, God becomes a flesh who has form and image and whom man can touch and see, not a Spirit who has no form and image but a flesh whom man can contact and see. However, most of the gods people believe in are a fleshless god that has no form and image and yet has a free image. So, the incarnated God becomes an enemy of most believers in God. Likewise, those who cannot accept the fact that God is incarnated become God’s foes. People have notions not because of their mind or their disobedience but because of this private possession of theirs. Most people lose their life because of this possession. It is the untouchable, invisible, and actually non- existent vague gods people believe in that ruin their life. It is not the incarnated God, much less the God in heaven, but the “gods” they imagine, that ruin their life. The reason why the incarnated God comes into the flesh is completely because of the need of corrupt man, because of man’s need but not God’s need. All the price and sufferings are for the sake of mankind, not for God’s own benefit. With God, there is no such thing as gain or loss or reward. What he gains is not what he later reaps but what he should have originally. All that he does and all the price he pays for mankind are not for the purpose that he can receive more rewards, but are only for the sake of mankind. Although when he works in the flesh, there are many difficulties unimaginable to man, in the end the results produced by the flesh’s working will far surpass the results of the Spirit’s working directly. Although when the flesh works, there are many difficulties and he cannot have the same great identity as the Spirit or do supernatural deeds as the Spirit, much less have the same authority as the Spirit, the working of this inconspicuous flesh is much higher in substance than the direct working of the Spirit. This flesh himself is the need of all people. For those to be saved, the use value of the Spirit is far lower than that of the flesh: The working of the Spirit can cover the entire universe and reach the mountains, rivers, and lakes; but the working of the flesh can more effectively touch everyone who contacts him, and the flesh who has form and image can better gain people’s understanding and trust and can better deepen their knowledge of God and deepen their impression of God’s practical deeds. The working of the Spirit is mysterious and unfathomable, and mortal beings can hardly foresee it, much less see it, but can only imagine it without any basis. The working of the flesh is normal and practical and full of wisdom and is a fact that mortal beings can see with their own eyes, and people can all personally taste God’s working wisdom, without any need to use their rich imagination. This is the accuracy and the real value of the working of the God in the flesh. The Spirit can only do some things invisible and unimaginable to man, such as, the inspiration of the Spirit, the moving of the Spirit, and the guidance of the Spirit. However, to people with mind, these works of the Spirit cannot give them a clear idea but can only give them a moving or a roughly similar idea, and cannot give instructions with words. But God’s working in the flesh is quite different from that. The working of the flesh can give exact guidance of words, clear wills, and clear required goals, and people do not need to grope or imagine, much less guess. This is the clarity of the working of the flesh, which is quite different from the working of the Spirit. The working of the Spirit can only be applicable to a limited scope and cannot replace the working of the flesh. The exact goals for people required by the working of the flesh and the real value of the knowledge people gain through it far surpass the accuracy and the real value of the working of the Spirit. To corrupt people, only exact words, clear goals to pursue, and visible and touchable works are the most valuable works. Only realistic works and timely guidance can fit people’s taste, and only practical works can save people from their corrupt and fallen disposition; these can only be fulfilled by the incarnated God. Only the incarnated God can save people from their corrupt and fallen old disposition. Although the Spirit is God’s original substance, such work can only be accomplished through the flesh. If the Spirit alone worked, the results of the work could not be achieved. This is an obvious fact. Although most people become God’s enemies because of this flesh, when this flesh finishes all his work, those who are hostile to him will no longer be his enemies but will become his witnesses, the witnesses who are conquered by him and the witnesses who are compatible with him and cannot bear to part from him. He will cause people to know the importance of the work to them that is done by the flesh. They will know the importance of this flesh to the meaning of their existence. They will also know the real value of this flesh to their growth in life. Even more, they will know that this flesh should become the living spring of life they cannot live without. Although God’s incarnated flesh is far from matching his identity and position, and in people’s eyes, he seems to be incompatible with his true status, yet this flesh who does not have God’s original image or God’s original identity can do the work God’s Spirit cannot do directly. This is the true significance and value of God’s incarnation, which are just what people cannot understand and acknowledge. Although people all take a looking- up attitude toward God’s Spirit and take a looking-down attitude toward God’s flesh, no matter how they look or how they think, the real significance and real value of the flesh far surpass those of the Spirit. Of course, this is only true with respect to the corrupt mankind. For everyone who seeks the truth and thirsts after God’s appearing, the working of the Spirit can only give them moving or inspiration and can only give them a sense of wonder that it is wonderful, unfathomable, and unimaginable and give them a sense that it is great, supernatural, and admirable to all and yet unapproachable and unreachable to all. Man can only look at God’s Spirit from afar as if they were very, very far from each other, and they can never be the same as if there were an invisible barrier between man and God. Actually, this is only a wrong impression that the Spirit gives man. This wrong impression is only because the Spirit and man are not of the same kind and the Spirit and man can never be in the same world, and also because the Spirit does not have anything that man has. Therefore, to man the Spirit is not man’s need, because the Spirit cannot directly do the work that man needs the most. The working of the flesh gives people practical goals to pursue, gives them clear words, gives them a feeling that it is “practical” and “normal,” and gives them a feeling that he is “humble” and “common.” Although people feel afraid of him, in the eyes of most people, he is very easy to contact. People can see his face and hear his voice, and they do not have to look at him from afar. This flesh gives people a feeling that he is near, not far away, not unfathomable, but visible and contactable, because this flesh is in the same world with people.
For everyone who lives in the flesh, to pursue to be transformed in their disposition, they have to have goals to pursue, and to pursue to know God, they have to see God’s practical deeds and God’s real image. And these two can only be fulfilled by God’s incarnated flesh and can only be fulfilled by a normal and practical flesh. This is the necessity of God’s incarnation, which is the need of all corrupt mankind. Since God requires people to know him, he has to remove the images of the vague and supernatural gods in their heart. Since he requires them to cast off their corrupt dispositions, they have to first know these corrupt dispositions. If only man did this work so as to remove the images of the vague gods in people’s heart, it could not produce the due results. The images of the vague gods in people’s heart cannot be exposed, cast off, and completely removed by words only. If the work were done this way, in the end the deep-rooted things in people still could not be removed. Only if these vague and supernatural things in people are replaced with the practical God and God’s original image so that people may know them progressively, can the due results be achieved. People know that the God they pursued before is vague and supernatural, and this result is not achieved through the direct leading of the Spirit, much less through the teaching of someone, but because of the incarnated God. Because the normalness and practicalness of the incarnated God are contrary to the vague and supernatural gods in people’s imagination, when the incarnated God formally works, all their notions are exposed. By the contrast of the incarnated God, all of people’s original notions are exposed. Without the contrast of the incarnated God, people’s notions cannot be exposed. That is, without the contrast of reality, the vague things cannot be exposed. This work cannot be done by anyone with words in God’s stead and cannot be spoken about clearly by anyone with words. God Godself can do his own work, and no one else can do it in his stead. No matter how rich man’s words are, he cannot make clear God’s practicalness and normalness. Only if God works personally among people and completely makes his image and his being known to people, can they know him more practically and see him more clearly. Such a result cannot be achieved by any man of flesh. Of course, such a working result cannot be achieved by God’s Spirit either. God can save corrupt man from satan’s power, but this work cannot be directly accomplished by God’s Spirit. Rather, it can only be done by the flesh God’s Spirit is clothed with, by the flesh God is incarnated in. This flesh is a man and is God, a man with a normal humanity and God with full divinity. So, although this flesh is not the Spirit of God and is greatly different from the Spirit, the One who saves man is still the incarnated God Godself, who is the Spirit and is a flesh. No matter how he is addressed, it is God Godself who saves mankind. This is because God’s Spirit and flesh are inseparable, and it is the work done by the flesh and is also the work done by the Spirit of God, which, however, is not done by him as the Spirit but as the flesh. A work that needs to be done directly by the Spirit does not need to be done through being incarnated, and a work that needs to be done by the flesh cannot be done by the Spirit directly but can only be done through being incarnated. All this is the need of the work and the need of corrupt mankind. Of the three stages of works, only one stage was done by the Spirit directly, while the other two stages are done by the incarnated God, not done by the Spirit directly. The work of the law done by the Spirit had nothing to do with transforming man’s corrupt disposition or man’s knowing God. But the works of the Age of the Grace and of the Age of the Kingdom done by the flesh have to do with man’s corrupt disposition and man’s knowing God. The works done by the flesh are the important and crucial works in the work of salvation. So, corrupt mankind needs even more the salvation of the incarnated God and needs even more the direct work of the incarnated God. Mankind needs the shepherding, sustenance, watering, feeding, judgment, and chastisement of the incarnated God and needs more grace and greater redemption of the incarnated God. Only the God in the flesh can be man’s intimate friend, man’s shepherd, and man’s ever-present help. All this is the necessity of God’s being incarnated today and before.
Man has been corrupted by satan, and man is the highest created being created by God. So man needs the salvation of God. The object of God’s salvation is man, not satan. What he saves is man’s flesh and man’s soul, not the devil. Satan is the object of God’s destruction, and man is the object of God’s salvation. And man’s flesh has been corrupted by satan, so God has to save man’s flesh first. Man’s flesh is most deeply corrupted and becomes something that resists God, and it even resists and denies God’s existence openly. The corrupted flesh is simply incorrigibly obstinate. The corrupt disposition of the flesh is hardest to deal with and most difficult to change. Satan comes into man’s flesh to disturb, using man’s flesh to disturb God’s work and frustrate God’s plan. Thus, man becomes satan and becomes God’s enemy. To save man, God first has to conquer man. So, God counters by coming into the flesh to do the work he wants to do, to wage war against satan. His purpose is to save the corrupted mankind and defeat and destroy satan that disobeys him. Through the work of conquering man, he defeats satan and at the same time saves corrupt mankind. This is a work that accomplishes two purposes. He works in the flesh, speaks in the flesh, and undertakes all the work in the flesh, for the purpose of better contacting man and better conquering man. When he is incarnated the last time, he will end in the flesh all the work he does in the end time, divide all men into their kinds, end his entire management, and end all his work of the flesh. After all his work on earth has ended, he will have triumphed thoroughly. When the God working in the flesh has conquered mankind thoroughly and gained mankind completely, won’t it mean that God’s entire management has ended? When God’s work in the flesh has ended, as he has defeated satan thoroughly and has triumphed, satan will have no more chances to corrupt man. When God worked through being incarnated the first time, he redeemed man and forgave man’s sin. Now he will conquer and completely gain man. Thus, satan will no longer be able to do its work and will be defeated thoroughly, and God will triumph completely. This is a work done by the flesh and also a work done by God Godself. The initial work in the three stages of works was done by God’s Spirit directly, not by the flesh. The concluding work in the three stages of works is done by the incarnated God, not done by the Spirit directly. The redemptive work in the middle stage was also done by the God in the flesh. In the entire management work, the most important work is to save men from satan’s power, and the crucial work is to conquer corrupt men thoroughly so that the conquered men can recover man’s original fear of God and have a normal human life, that is, have a normal life of a created being. This is the crucial work and is the kernel of the management work. In the three stages of the work of salvation, the work of the law in the first stage was far from the kernel of the management work. It only had a little outward form of the work of salvation, and God had not started to do the work of saving man from satan’s authority. The reason why the work in the first stage was directly done by the Spirit was that men under the law only knew to keep the law and did not have more truth and that the work of the Age of the Law hardly had to do with the transformation of man’s disposition, much less did it have to do with the work concerning how to save man from satan’s authority. As such, the Spirit of God completed that stage of very simple work which had nothing to do with man’s corrupt disposition. That stage of work did not have much to do with the kernel of the management and did not have much to do with the work of formally saving man, so there was no need for God to be incarnated to do it personally. The work done by the Spirit is hidden and unfathomable, and is fearful and inapproachable. He is not suitable to do the work of salvation directly or to be man’s life supply directly. What is most suitable for man is to change the work of the Spirit into another form close to man. That is, what is most suitable for man is that God becomes an ordinary and normal man to do the work. So God has to be incarnated to do the work of the Spirit in his stead. This way of working is most suitable for man. Of the three stages of works, two stages are done by the flesh, and these two stages are the crucial sections in the management work. The two incarnations complement each other and complete each other. The first incarnation laid the foundation for the second incarnation. It can be said that the two incarnations are integrated, not incompatible with each other. The reason why God does these two stages of works as the incarnated flesh is that they are really too important to the entire management work. It can almost be said that without the works of the two incarnations, the entire management work would have remained at a standstill, and the work of saving mankind would be an empty talk. Whether a work is important is judged according to the need of mankind, according to the real situation of mankind’s fall, and according to the degree of satan’s disobeying and disturbing the work. And who is the right and competent one for the work is decided according to the nature of the working of the one who works and according to the importance of the work. According to the importance of the work, in deciding which way to do the work, doing it directly as the Spirit, doing it through being incarnated, or doing it through man, among these three ways God first eliminated the way of “doing it through man,” and then according to the nature of the work and according to the nature of the working of the Spirit and the flesh, he finally decided that doing it in the flesh would be more beneficial to man than doing it as the Spirit directly and would be more advantageous to the work. These were the thoughts God had when he decided whether to do the work as the Spirit or in the flesh. The work at each stage has significance and is done on some basis, not based on mere imagination or at random, and there is some wisdom in it. This is the inside truth of God doing all the works. Especially in such a great work as working personally among men through being incarnated, there is his plan all the more. Therefore, God’s wisdom and all his being are expressed in his every act and move, every idea, and every thought in working. This is God’s more specific and systematic being. All these fine ideas and thoughts are hard for man to imagine, hard for man to believe, and even more, hard for man to know. Men do their work by some general principles, and this is quite satisfactory for men. However, compared with God’s working, it simply falls far short. Although God’s deeds are great and his works are done on a very grand scale, there are a great many minute and unimaginable careful plans and deployments behind these works. In his doing each stage of work, there are not only principles but also many things that human words cannot explain clearly, which are things invisible to man. Whether it is the work of the Spirit or the work of the incarnated flesh, he has plans for it. He does not work without a basis or do any meaningless work. He has his purpose when the Spirit directly works, and he has his intention all the more when he becomes a man (that is, changes his outer shell) to work. Otherwise, how could he change his identity lightly? How could he lightly become a man who is belittled and persecuted by man?
The work done in the flesh is most meaningful, and this is spoken of with regard to the work. The One who concludes the work in the end is the incarnated God, not the Spirit. Some people think that God may sometime come to earth and appear to man and personally judge all mankind, testing them one by one without anyone being left out. Those who think this way are the ones who have no knowledge of this stage of work of incarnation. When God judges men, he does not judge them one by one or test them one by one. That is not the work of judgment. Aren’t the corruptions of all mankind the same? Isn’t the substance of all men the same? What God judges is mankind’s corrupt substance and man’s substance of being corrupted by satan. He judges all man’s sins but not man’s minor shortcomings. The work of judgment is representative. It is not a work done only for a certain person, but a work to judge a portion of people, which represents the judgment upon all mankind. The work done by the flesh is to work personally on a portion of people, which represents the working on all mankind, and then it will be spread gradually. This is also true with the work of judgment. It is not to judge a kind of people or a portion of people, but to judge the unrighteousness of all mankind, such as, man’s resisting God, not fearing God, disturbing God’s work, and so on. It is to judge mankind’s substance of resisting God. This work of judgment is the conquering work in the end time. The work and word of the incarnated God, which people see, is the work of judgment before the great white throne in the end time, which was in people’s notion before. The work the incarnated God does today is just the judgment before the great white throne. The incarnated God of today is the God who judges all mankind in the end time. This flesh and his work and word and all his disposition are his entirety. Although the work done by the flesh is limited in scope and does not directly cover the entire universe, as far as the substance of the work of judgment is concerned, it is to judge all mankind directly. It is not just for China or merely for a few people that he carries out the work of judgment. When the God in the flesh works, although the scope of his work cannot cover the entire universe, the work he does represents the work of the entire universe. And after he ends the work within the scope of his work in the flesh, he will immediately spread it to every place of the universe, just as the gospel was spread to every place of the universe after Jesus resurrected and ascended. Whether it is the work of the Spirit or the work of the flesh, it is done within a limited scope but represents the work of the entire universe. In the end-time work, God appears as the incarnated flesh to do the work. The God in the flesh is the God who judges man before the great white throne. Whether he is Spirit or flesh, the One who does the work of judgment is the God to judge mankind in the end time. This is decided by his work, not by his appearance or several other aspects. Although people have notions about this, the fact that the incarnated God judges and conquers all mankind cannot be denied by anyone. No matter how people think of it, the fact is the fact. No one can say, “The work is done by God, but the flesh is not God.” It is an erroneous saying, because this work cannot be done by anyone other than the God in the flesh. Since the work has been finished, after it there will not be a work of God judging man a second time. The second incarnation has completely concluded the work of the entire management, and there will not be the fourth stage of work. Because it is to judge corrupted man, man of flesh, not to judge satan’s spirit directly, the work of judgment is not carried out in the spiritual realm but among men. As to the work of judging the corruption of man’s flesh, only the God in the flesh is most suitable to do it, and only the God in the flesh is most qualified to do it. If the Spirit of God judged directly, he could not deal with every aspect, and that would be difficult for man to accept, because the Spirit cannot come face to face with man. Simply because of this, it could not produce immediate results, much less cause man to see more clearly God’s disposition which is not to be offended. Only if the God in the flesh judges mankind’s corruption does it mean defeating satan thoroughly. Also being a man who has a normal humanity, the God in the flesh can directly judge man’s unrighteousness. This is a mark of his being holy and a mark of his being different from others. Only God is qualified and in a position to judge man. Because he has the truth and righteousness, he can judge man. One who has no truth and no righteousness is not qualified to judge others. If the Spirit of God did this work, it would not mean overcoming satan. The Spirit is greater than mortal beings, and God’s Spirit is holy and is victorious over the flesh. If the Spirit did this work directly, he could not judge all man’s disobedience or expose all man’s unrighteousness, because the work of judgment is done through man’s notions about God but man has no notions about the Spirit. So, the Spirit cannot better expose man’s unrighteousness, much less disclose man’s unrighteousness thoroughly. The incarnated God is the enemy of all those who do not know him. Through judging man’s notions about and resistance against him, he discloses all the disobedience of mankind. The work done by the flesh produces more obvious results than the work done by the Spirit. So, the work of judging all mankind is not done by the Spirit directly but by the incarnated God. The God in the flesh is visible and touchable to people, and the God in the flesh can thoroughly conquer people. Toward the God in the flesh, people change from resistance to obedience, from persecution to acceptance, from notion to knowledge, and from rejection to love. These are the working results of the incarnated God. It is through receiving his judgment that people are saved, it is through the words of his mouth that they know him progressively, it is in the course of resisting him that they are conquered by him, and it is in the course of receiving his chastisement that they receive his life supply. All these works are the works done by the God in the flesh, not the works done by God as the Spirit. The works done by God through being incarnated are the greatest works and the most profound works. The crux of the three stages of works lies in these two stages of works of incarnation. When God works through being incarnated, it is hindered greatly, because people are most deeply corrupt. In particular, the work done on these people in the end time is very difficult. The external environment is adverse, and the qualities of all kinds of people are very poor. But when the work ends, it will still produce the due results, exactly. This is the result of the working of the flesh, and this result is more convincing than that of the working of the Spirit. The three stages of works are ended in the flesh, and they have to be ended by the incarnated God. The most important and crucial works are all done in the flesh, and the work of saving man has to be done by the flesh personally. Although people all feel that the God in the flesh seems to have nothing to do with man, actually this flesh has a bearing on the destiny of all mankind and the existence of all mankind.
God does each stage of work for the sake of all mankind. All the work he does is aimed at all mankind. Even if it is a work in the flesh, it is aimed at all mankind. He is the God of all mankind and the God of all created beings and uncreated beings. Although the work in the flesh is within a limited scope and the working object is also limited, each time he works through being incarnated, the working object he chooses is very representative; he does not choose a group of “simple and common” people to work on but chooses a group of people who can be the representative of his work in the flesh to be the object of his work. This group of people is chosen only because the scope of his work in the flesh is limited, is prepared specially for his incarnated flesh, and is specifically chosen for his work in the flesh. He chooses the working object by principle and not without any basis. The working object must be beneficial to the work of the God in the flesh and can represent all mankind. For example, the Jews could represent all mankind in receiving the personal redeeming of Jesus, and the Chinese can represent all mankind in receiving the personal conquering of the incarnated God; there is a basis for the Jews to represent all mankind, and there is also a basis for the Chinese to represent all mankind in receiving the personal conquering of God; doing the redemptive work among the Jews can best reveal the significance of redemption, and doing the conquering work among the Chinese can best reveal the thoroughness and success of the conquering work. When God works and speaks in the flesh, it seems to be only aimed at a small portion of people, but actually he is doing the work of the entire universe and speaking to all mankind among this small portion of people. After his work in the flesh ends, those who follow him will begin to spread the work God has done among them. The greatest advantage of God’s working in the flesh is that he can leave his followers exact words, exact charges, and his exact wills for mankind. Then his followers can preach all his works in the flesh and his will for all mankind in a more accurate and practical way to everyone who accepts this way. Only when the God in the flesh works among men has the fact been really fulfilled that God is with men and lives with men and has the wish been realized that all men see God’s face and God’s work and hear God’s personal word. The incarnated God has ended the age when “only Jehovah’s back appeared to mankind” and ended the age when mankind believed in the vague god. In particular, the work of the last incarnated God has brought all mankind into a more realistic, practical, and beautiful age. He has not only ended the age of the law and regulation, but more importantly, he has made known to mankind the God who is practical and normal, who is righteous and holy, who discloses the works in the management plan and reveals the mysteries and the destinations of mankind, who created mankind and ends the management work, and who has been hidden for thousands of years. He has completely ended the age of vagueness, ended the age when all mankind wanted to seek God’s face but could not, ended the age when all mankind served satan, and brought all mankind completely into a brand new age. All these works are the results of the God in the flesh working instead of God’s Spirit. Because God works in the flesh, his followers no longer seek and grope for the things that seem to exist and yet seem to not exist and no longer guess the will of the vague god. When God spreads the works he has done in the flesh, his followers will preach all the works he has done in the flesh to every denomination and sect and preach all his words to the ears of all mankind. All that the receivers of his gospel hear will be the facts of his working, which people have seen with their own eyes and heard with their own ears and which are facts and not hearsay. All these facts will be the evidence and the tool through which he spreads his work. If there were no facts, his gospel could not be spread to every place and nation. If there were no facts but only man’s imaginations, he could never do the work of conquering the entire universe. The Spirit is untouchable to man and invisible to man. The working of the Spirit cannot leave people more evidences or more facts of his working; they would never see God’s true image, would forever believe in the vague and non- existent gods, and would never see God’s face or hear God’s personal word. What man imagines is empty after all and cannot replace God’s real image. God’s original disposition and his own work cannot be performed by man. Only if God works personally through being incarnated among men can he bring the invisible God in heaven and his work to earth. This is the most ideal way for God to appear to man and for man to see God and know God’s real image. It cannot be accomplished by anyone other than the incarnated God. When the work has been done to the present stage, it has produced the best results, and it has succeeded through many efforts. The work of the God in the flesh has completed ninety percent of his entire management work. This flesh has brought his entire work into a better start. This flesh has summed up his entire work, made it known, and made the last complete supplement to it. Hence, there will not be the “incarnated God” coming to do the fourth stage of work, and there will not be the wonderful work of God’s third incarnation.
Each stage of work in the flesh represents his work of the entire age, and it does not represent a certain period as man’s work does. So, when the work of his last incarnated flesh ends, it does not mean that his work will have been completely finished, because the work he does in the flesh represents the entire age and does not only represent the period when he works in the flesh. It is only that his work of the entire age will be finished when he is in the flesh and then it will be spread to every place. After the incarnated God fulfills his ministry, he will commit his future work to his followers. In this way, his work of the entire age can go on continuously. Only when his work has been spread to every place of the universe will it mean that the work of the entire age of incarnation has completely ended. The work done by the incarnated flesh is a work to start a new age, and the ones who continue his work will be the men used by him. All the works done by men are works within the ministry of the God in the flesh and cannot go beyond this scope. Unless God is incarnated to work, men cannot end the old age or bring a new age. The works done by men are only some works within their duty, that is, within their ability, and they cannot represent God to work. Only the incarnated God can accomplish the work he ought to do. No one else can do his work in his stead. Of course, what I am saying is only true with respect to the work of the incarnated flesh. The incarnated flesh this time first does a step of work that is discordant with people’s notions, and then he does more works that are discordant with people’s notions. The purpose of these works is to conquer people. On the one hand God’s being incarnated is discordant with people’s notion, and plus the many more works he does that are discordant with people’s notions, so people have even more unusual views of him. However, he just does the conquering work among these people who have numerous notions about him. No matter how people treat him, when he has fulfilled his ministry, all people will have become subject under his authority. This fact of his working will not only be manifested among the Chinese, but it means that the course of all mankind being conquered will be like this. The results achieved on these people are the type of the results achieved on all mankind. The results of his work in the future will even be better and better than the results of the work on these people. The God in the flesh works not in a dramatic way or in a mysterious way but in a practical way and in a matter-of-fact manner, and he does not hide anything from anyone or deceive anyone. All that people see is real and genuine things, and all that they gain is real and practical knowledge and truths. When his work ends, all people will have a new knowledge of him, and all those who genuinely pursue will have no more notions. These will not only be the results of his work on the Chinese, but will also represent the results of his work of conquering all mankind, because this flesh, the work of this flesh, and everything of this flesh are most beneficial to the work of conquering all mankind. They are beneficial to his work now and will be beneficial to his work in the future. This flesh is the One who conquers all mankind and also the One who gains all mankind. His work is the best work for all mankind to see God, obey God, and know God. The work done by man only represents a limited scope. When God works, he does not speak to a certain man but to all mankind, to all those who accept his word. When he declares the outcomes, he declares the outcomes of all men, not the outcome of a certain man. He does not show favoritism to any man or make things difficult for any man. He works on and speaks to all mankind. So, when he is incarnated this time, he has divided all mankind into their kinds, has judged all mankind, and has arranged proper destinations for all mankind. Although God is only working in China, actually he has settled the work of the entire universe. He cannot wait until the work on all mankind is spread to speak words and make arrangements step by step. Won’t it be too late? Now he can complete the future work beforehand. Because the One who does the work is the God in the flesh, he does the work of an unlimited scope within a limited scope and then he will let men perform the duty they should. This is the principle of his working. He can only live with men for a period of time but cannot stay with men until the work of the entire age ends. Because he is God, he prophesies all the future work beforehand. In the future, all mankind will be divided into their kinds according to these words and enter into his step-by-step work according to his words, and no one can escape but all will have to practice according to them. So, in the future it will be the word but not the Spirit that guides the age.
The work needed to be done in the flesh has to be done in the flesh. If the Spirit of God did it directly, it could not produce the results. Even if he did it, it would not be very meaningful, and in the end it would still not be convincing. All created beings want to know whether the work done by the Creator is meaningful, what his work represents, and what is the purpose of his work, and want to know whether the work done by God is full of authority and full of wisdom and whether his work is the most valuable and meaningful work. He does the work for saving all mankind, for defeating satan, and for bearing his own testimony among all things, so the work he does has to be quite meaningful. Man’s flesh is corrupted by satan, and the flesh is most deeply blinded and is the one deeply afflicted. The most basic reason why God personally works in the flesh is that the object of salvation is man of flesh and that satan uses man’s flesh to disturb God’s work. The war against satan is actually a work of conquering man, and at the same time man is the object of salvation. Thus, it is very necessary for God to work through being incarnated. Satan corrupts man’s flesh, so man becomes the embodiment of satan and becomes the one to be defeated by God. Thus, the works of warring against satan and saving mankind are on earth, and God has to become a man to war against satan. This is the most realistic work. When he works in the flesh, actually he is warring against satan in the flesh. When he works in the flesh, he is doing his work of the spiritual realm. He has all his work of the spiritual realm realized on earth. The one he conquers is man who disobeys him. The one he defeats is satan’s embodiment (of course, also man) which is hostile to him. And the one who will be saved in the end is still man. Thus, it is even more necessary for him to become a man who has the outer shell of a created being, so that he can war against satan practically, conquer man who disobeys him and who has the same shell as his, and save man who has the same shell as his and who is afflicted by satan. His enemy is man, the one he conquers is man, and the one he saves is still created man, so he has to become a man. In this way, his working is much more convenient, being not only able to defeat satan, but also to conquer mankind, and even more to save mankind. Although the “flesh” is normal and practical, he is not a common flesh or a flesh only with humanity, but a flesh with humanity and divinity. This is his difference from man, and this is the mark of his identity as God. Only such a flesh can do the work he wants to do, can fulfill the ministry of the God in the flesh, and can complete his work among men thoroughly. Otherwise, his work among men will forever be a blank and a hole. Even if God can war against satan’s spirit and win, the old nature of corrupted men can never be resolved, and men who disobey and resist him can never truly become subject under his authority. That is, he can never conquer mankind and can never gain all mankind. If his work on earth could not be settled, his management could not end, and the whole mankind could not enter into rest. If God and all created beings could not enter into rest, such a management work would never produce the results, and God’s glory would also disappear. Although his flesh does not have authority, the work he does will have produced the results. This is the sure trend of his work. Whether he has authority or not, as long as he can do God’s own work, he is God Godself. No matter how normal and ordinary this flesh is, he can do the work he ought to do, because this flesh is God and not just a man. The reason why this flesh can do the work man cannot do is that his inner substance is different from that of any man. He can save man because his identity is different from that of any man. The reason why this flesh is very important to mankind is that he is a man and even more God, that he can do the work a common man in the flesh cannot do, and that he can save corrupt men who live with him on earth. Although he is also a man, the incarnated God is more important to mankind than any other man of value. Because he can do the work the Spirit of God cannot do, he is better able to bear God’s own testimony than the Spirit of God, and he is better able to gain mankind completely than the Spirit of God, although this flesh is ordinary and normal, as far as his contribution to mankind and his significance to mankind’s existence are concerned, he is much more precious. The real value and significance of this flesh cannot be measured by anyone. Although this flesh cannot directly destroy satan, he can conquer mankind and defeat satan by means of working and cause satan to completely become subject under his authority. Because God is incarnated, he can defeat satan and can save mankind. He does not directly destroy satan but works through being incarnated to conquer mankind corrupted by satan. In this way, he can better bear his own testimony among created beings and can better save corrupted man. It is a more powerful testimony and is more convincing for God’s incarnated flesh to defeat satan than for God’s Spirit to destroy satan directly. The God in the flesh is more beneficial to man’s knowing the Creator and can better bear his testimony among created beings.
