120. The Principles of Distinguishing All Kinds of Evil People

1. Evil people especially hate the truth, they never accept the truth or accept God’s judgment or chastisement, and they accept being pruned and dealt with even less.

2. Evil people are deaf to reason and are adept at saying that black is white and distorting facts, they are prone to subjugate, punish and harm others, and they will use unscrupulous means to achieve their aims.

3. Evil people have not one shred of conscience or reason, and they are utterly insensible no matter how much evil they do or to what extent they harm others; they are like cold-blooded animals.

4. All evil people definitely have no love for the truth, but only love evil; they cannot help but do evil, and even if they appear to be eating and drinking the words of God, it is only done for show.

Relevant Words of God:

Those who receive God’s approval are those who gladly submit to God, as well as to His word and work. Only this kind of man is in the right; only this kind of man sincerely desires God, and sincerely seeks God. As for those who merely speak of their faith in God with their mouths but in actuality curse Him, they are men who mask themselves, who bear the venom of snakes, the most treacherous of men. Sooner or later, these scoundrels will have their vile masks ripped away. Is that not the work that is being done today? Wicked men will always be wicked and will never escape the day of punishment. Good men will always be good and will be revealed when the work comes to an end. Not one of the wicked shall be deemed to be righteous, nor any one of the righteous deemed to be wicked. Would I let any man stand wrongfully accused?

from “Those Who Obey God With a True Heart Shall Surely Be Gained by God” in The Word Appears in the Flesh

Those amongst brothers and sisters who are always venting their negativity are Satan’s lackeys and they disturb the church. These people must one day be expelled and eliminated. … If the speech and conduct of a believer is always as casual and unrestrained as an unbeliever, then this believer is even more evil than the unbeliever; they are a typical demon. Those in the church who vent their venomous talk, those amongst brothers and sisters who spread rumors, foment disharmony and form cliques should have been expelled from the church. But because it is now a different era of God’s work, these people have been restricted, for they are doomed to be objects for elimination. Those who have been corrupted by Satan all have a corrupt disposition. But whereas some people only have a corrupt disposition there are others who are not like this, in that not only do they have corrupt satanic dispositions, but their natures are also malicious to the extreme. All this type of person does and says is not only expressing their corrupt satanic dispositions, but they themselves are the real devil Satan. All they do is interrupt and disturb God’s work, disturb the life entry of brothers and sisters, and destroy the normal life of the church. These wolves in sheep’s clothing must sooner or later be cleared out, and one must adopt an unsparing attitude toward these lackeys of Satan; one must adopt an attitude of abandonment toward them. Only by doing this can one stand at God’s side and those who cannot do so are in collusion with Satan. ….

Every single church has people who disturb the church, people who interrupt God’s work. These people are all Satan masquerading in God’s family. This type of person is especially good at impersonating, coming respectfully before Me, nodding and bowing, behaving like mangy dogs, devoting their “all” in order to achieve their own objectives, but showing their ugly countenance before brothers and sisters. When they see someone practicing the truth they attack and exclude them, and when they see someone more terrible than they are themselves, they flatter and fawn upon them, acting like tyrants within the church. It can be said that the majority of churches have this type of “local villainous snake,” this type of “lap dog” within them. They sneak around together, winking and secretly signaling to each other, and none of them practice the truth. Whoever has the most venom is the “head demon,” and whoever has the highest prestige leads them, bearing their flag aloft. These people run wild within the church, spreading their negativity, releasing death, doing as they please, saying what they please, with no one daring to stop them, being full of satanic dispositions. As soon as they begin to cause disturbance, an air of death enters into the church. Those who practice the truth within the church are abandoned and are unable to achieve their potential, while those who disturb the church and spread death run wild within the church. What is more, the majority of people follow them. This kind of church is simply under Satan’s control and the devil is their king.

Such men have no understanding of the new work but are filled with endless notions. They serve no function whatsoever in the church; rather, they make mischief and spread negativity everywhere, even to the point of engaging in all manner of misconduct and disturbance in the church, and thereby throwing those who lack discrimination into confusion and disarray. These living devils, these evil spirits should leave the church as soon as possible, lest the church be blighted on your account. You may not fear the work of today, but do you not fear the righteous punishment of tomorrow? There are large numbers of people in the church who are freeloaders, as well as a great number of wolves that seek to disrupt the normal work of God. These things are all demons sent by the Devil, vicious wolves who seek to devour the guileless lambs.

from “Those Who Obey God With a True Heart Shall Surely Be Gained by God” in The Word Appears in the Flesh

Those who do not seek to progress always wish for others to be as negative and indolent as themselves, those who do not practice the truth are jealous of those who do practice the truth. Those who do not practice the truth always want to deceive those who are muddleheaded and who lack discernment. The things these people vent can cause you to degenerate, slip downward, develop abnormal conditions and be filled with darkness inside; they cause you to be distanced from God, and they make you cherish the flesh and indulge yourself. Those who do not love the truth, who are always dealing with God perfunctorily are without self-knowledge, and their dispositions seduce people into committing sins and defying God. They do not practice the truth and do not allow others to practice it either. They cherish sin and have no loathing for themselves. They do not know themselves and stop others from knowing themselves, and they stop others from longing for the truth. Those they deceive cannot see the light and fall into darkness; they do not know themselves, are unclear about the truth and become further and further from God. They do not practice the truth and they stop others from practicing the truth, bringing those foolish people before them. … Those who shake their heads when they hear the truth, who smile widely when they hear talk of death are the offspring of Satan, and they are all objects to be eliminated. There exist in the church many people who have no discernment, and when something deceptive happens they just stand by Satan’s side. When they are called Satan’s lackeys they feel so wronged. And someone might say they have no discernment, but they always stand on the side without truth. There has not been a single critical time when they have stood on the side of truth, not a single time when they have stood up and argued for the truth, so are they really without discernment? Why do they always stand by Satan’s side? Why do they never say one word that is fair or reasonable for the truth? Is this situation really created by their momentary confusion? The less discernment someone has, the less able they are to stand on the side of truth. What does this show? Does it not show that those without discernment love evil? Does it not show that those without discernment are the loyal offspring of Satan? Why is it that they are always able to stand on the side of Satan and speak the same language as it? Their every word and deed, and their expressions prove amply that they are not any kind of lover of the truth, but rather that they are people who detest the truth. That they can stand on the side of Satan proves amply that Satan really loves these petty devils who fight for Satan’s sake all their lives. Are all these facts not abundantly clear? …

… Those who employ trickery and who do injustice are all people who have no truth and they all bring shame on God. Those in the church who engage in disputes are Satan’s lackeys, and are the embodiment of Satan. This kind of person is too malicious. Those who have no discernment and are incapable of standing on the side of the truth all harbor evil intentions and tarnish the truth. These people are even more so typical representatives of Satan; they are beyond redemption and it goes without saying that they are all objects to be eliminated. … as they do not love the truth, because they are incapable of standing on the side of the truth, because they follow evil people, they stand on the side of evil people, and because they collude with evil people and defy God. They know perfectly well that those evil people radiate evil but they harden their hearts and follow them, moving contrary to the truth. Are these people who do not practice the truth but who do destructive and abominable things not all doing evil? Although there are those among them who style themselves as kings and those who trail along behind, are their God-defying natures not all the same?

The Man’s Fellowship:

As stated in God’s words “Those who have been corrupted by Satan all have a corrupt disposition. But whereas some people only have a corrupt disposition there are others who are not like this, in that not only do they have corrupt satanic dispositions, but their natures are also malicious to the extreme. All this type of person does and says is not only expressing their corrupt satanic dispositions, but they themselves are the real devil Satan,” God’s chosen people must know how to discern the real devil Satan. Everyone has revelations of corrupt disposition, but what is the essential difference between people who genuinely believe in God and the devil Satan? This is a question God’s chosen people must see through. We can see that, after believing in God for a few years and starting to understand the truth, people who genuinely believe in God all truly repent. Even if they don’t have real understanding of the truth, when they are faced with pruning and dealing, judgment and chastisement or trials and refinement, they can all know themselves, have true remorse, and can all hate themselves, despise Satan, and undergo some genuine change. This is evidence that people who truly believe in God can be saved. Let’s then look at devil Satan. They never accept the truth or self-reflect to know themselves regardless of how much evil they commit or how much pruning and dealing they face. The word “repentance” has never existed in their dictionary. This is the essential difference between the nature and substance of real devil Satan and corrupted people who can pursue the truth. If God’s chosen people can distinguish them like this, then they will know which people can be rescued and which are the unrescuable real devil Satan. People who originally have the spirit of devil Satan in them and not the spirit of man are the real devil Satan.

II. Standards for Measuring Evil People

1. They are never kind-hearted or reasonable when dealing with others. They only care about their own interests. They are especially crooked, deceitful, selfish, and despicable.

2. They like to take advantage of people to their own benefit using whatever means necessary. They will even harm others for money.

3. In order to get what they want, they will distort the truth when they speak, they will frame people, pass judgment on and do harm to them. They like to sow dissent and create friction. They are capable of doing the most evil things imaginable.

4. They like to form alliances with other evil people, and curry favor with them. They are willing to work for evil people. They are extremely arrogant and submit to no one.

5. They like to fight. Due to their nature, they will not get along with good people, who they dislike intensely. They bully the weak and fear the strong. They often oppress good people. They target good and just people and treat them as enemies.

6. They love evil, and indulge themselves in sinful pleasures. They blindly follow trends and fashions. They never consider repenting and do whatever they wish.

7. They do not hold honest jobs or pursue the true way. They cause trouble and divisions. They will accuse the church or its leaders for the slightest dissatisfaction they have. They will easily sell out the house of God. Their faith in God is motivated by looking for opportunities to get blessings or by other wrongful intentions.

Anyone who meets these seven standards (or most of them) is considered to be an evil person. We should guard against them and stay away from them. We should share no part in the wicked deeds of evil people.

from “Standards for Measuring Good and Evil People” in Selected Annals of the Work Arrangements of The Church of Almighty God

The precise explanation of what is a wicked person is as follows:

Wicked people are people who have malicious natures, don’t have conscience or reason, and don’t have humanity. That is why they don’t feel remorse or shame no matter how many bad deeds they commit. Wicked people are not interested in the truth and are sick and tired of positive things. They love evil things, pursue world trends, and do whatever they please. Wicked people have malicious hearts, loathe good people, and like to bully honest people and weak people. They also often suck up to and collude with even more wicked people. They always derive joy from doing evil. Wicked people are restless and won’t feel comfortable unless they commit some evil deeds. Accordingly, all those who don’t pursue the truth and commit relatively more evils are wicked people. All those who are capable of committing any bad deed are wicked people.

from “In Order to Do Church Work Well One Must Be Able to Discern Between Several Kinds of People” in Selected Annals of the Work Arrangements of The Church of Almighty God

People without conscience or reason will never fear God, so no matter how much evil they commit and to what extent they harm people, it is as though they don’t feel anything. Such people can absolutely be deemed a wicked person. Accordingly, confirming whether one is a wicked person is largely based on three conditions: 1. no conscience or reason; 2. no fear of God; 3. no feelings of blame or regret regardless of how much evil has been committed. Isn’t that precisely a wicked person? All those who fulfill the “three noes” are regarded as wicked people. The “three noes” refer to: Firstly, not having conscience or reason; secondly, not having any fear of God; and thirdly, having no feelings regardless of how much they harm others. Such a “three noes” person is undoubtedly a wicked person. They are like a livestock animal, a wild beast. Only those with a conscience have fear of God and can love the truth. There is no doubt about that. People without a conscience don’t have the spirit of man, so they don’t have humanity. This shows that those without a conscience are not human and are wicked people.
