The Classical Words of God Concerning His Requirements of Man
865 If you only want your good dream to come true, then you should never dream but always face the truth and face the fact. This is the only way for you to be saved. Then what are the specific steps of this way?
First, make an examination of all your transgressions and make an examination of all your deeds and thoughts that are discordant with the truths.
… The ones I speak to are those who are approved by God, who are honest, and who have not seriously offended the administrative decrees, and are those who can easily find their transgressions. This requirement I make of you is very easy to meet, but it is not My only requirement for you. Anyway, I hope that you will not secretly laugh at My requirement, much less slight or despise this requirement of Mine; treat it seriously and do not be casual about it.
Second, find out the relevant truths to resolve each of your transgressions and disobediences. Then, replace your transgressions and your disobedient thoughts and deeds with your practice of the truths.
Third, be an honest person, do not act in a slick way, and do not be a crafty person. (This is another time I require you to be an honest person.)
When you have met these three requirements, you will be very fortunate, and you will be one whose good dream has come true and who receives a good fortune. Maybe you will treat these three ordinary requirements very seriously, or maybe you will look at these requirements very irresponsibly. Anyway, My purpose is to fulfill your dream and realize your ideal, not to make fun of you or make a fool of you.
from “Transgressions Will Take Man to Hell” in The Word Appears in the Flesh
866 No matter how great the nature of man, how poor man’s essence, or how man acted in the past, God pays no regard to these. He only hopes for man to completely renew the image of God they have in their hearts and to come to know the essence of mankind, thereby changing the ideological outlook of man. He hopes that man is able to deeply long for God and have an eternal attachment to Him. This is all that God asks of man.
from “Work and Entry (7)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh
867 What you have received is not merely My truth, My way, My life, but the vision and revelation greater than that of John. You have understood many more mysteries and have also seen My true countenance; you have accepted more of My judgment and known more of My righteous disposition. So, though you were born in the last days, your understanding is that of the former and the past; you have also experienced what is of this day, and such was accomplished by My hand. What I ask of you is not unreasonable, for I have given you too much and much have you seen from Me. Therefore, I ask you to bear witness for Me as former saints have done, and this is My heart’s only desire.
from “What Do You Know of Faith?” in The Word Appears in the Flesh
868 All that I do on the group of people of the last days is an unprecedented project. Therefore, everyone must suffer the last hardship for Me so that My glory may fill the heavens; do you understand what I mean? This is the last thing I require of people, that is, I hope everyone is able to firmly and resoundingly testify for Me in the presence of the great red dragon, and offer up yourselves for Me for the last time, and satisfy My requirements for the last time. Can you really do this? In the past you have not satisfied My heart; are you able to “break the conventional” at the last time? … Do you all have the faith to satisfy My requirement?
from “The Thirty-fourth Utterance” of God’s Utterances to the Entire Universe in The Word Appears in the Flesh
869 As He bestows upon you, so too must He ask of you in return and make of you fitting demands. Therefore, all the work of God is not without reason, and from this can be seen why God time and again does the work of high standards and strict requirements. This is why you ought to be filled with faith in God. In short, all the work of God is done for your sake, so that you will be worthy to receive His inheritance. This is not so much for the sake of God’s own glory but for the sake of your salvation and for perfecting this group of people deeply afflicted in the unclean land. You must understand the will of God.
