408 Have You Truly Offered Up Your Life in Your Faith?
Intro
If you suffered the same trials as Job,
none among you who follow God today
could ever stand firm, you would all fall down.
A world of difference between you and Job.
Verse 1
If half of your wealth was seized today,
you would dare to deny God is real.
If your son or daughter were taken,
you would run the streets crying foul.
If your sole livelihood reached a dead end,
you would try and take it up with God.
You would ask why God said so much to scare you.
You would dare do anything at such times.
Pre-chorus
Ask yourself, what of your belief in God?
Have you truly offered up your life?
What of, what of your belief in God?
Have you truly put in God’s hands your life?
Chorus
You should take your stature, practice seriously.
Don’t go through the motions for anybody.
Whether or not you gain the life and truth,
it fully depends on your own pursuit.
Verse 2
You’ve gained no true insights or stature,
knowing too much, understanding so little.
Just a fraction of what you’re aware of
makes your trials too great for you.
Don’t stop at knowledge, but work toward practice.
How much of the Spirit’s enlightenment
have you earned through the sweat of your hard work?
In your practice, have you achieved your aims?
Outro
In how many of your practices
have you realized your own resolve?
Have you truly offered up your life,
offered up your life in your faith?
