God says: “God does not keep doing one work. His work changes continuously, and he always does new works. For example, I speak new words to you and do new works on you every day. This is the work I do, which is mainly characterized by being ‘new’ and ‘amazing.’” In the years of my following God, though I have seen many new works of God, yet because I had no knowledge of God, I merely said with my lips that God is ever new, and in reality I often confined God.
When I heard that God’s work would end in 1999, I thought: God’s earthly work of the word is finished and there will never be any new words. I must try to get a hymnal containing 512 hymns and a bound volume of The Word Appears in the Flesh, which contains “The Words of the Incarnated Son of Man When Walking in the Churches (4).” I considered that these were the most complete records of God’s work on earth and there would never be changes of them.
When I saw God’s latest expression “You Should Think About Your Doings,” I was extremely astounded: How could there be new words? Over more than five years, I have never seen any new expression beyond the bound volume. Could it be that the “The Almighty God’s Latest Expression” marked on the title page was a mistake? But after reading this piece of word, I truly felt God’s kindness and loveliness. This piece of word was exactly what I needed badly. Later, in the Postscript to The Word Appears in the Flesh, I read God’s words: “Perhaps some people think that since God’s work in Mainland China has been concluded, it is proof that God has spoken all the words he ought to speak, and that God won’t possibly have new utterances because God can only speak these words. Some people even think that this bound volume of The Word Appears in the Flesh is God’s entire expression in the Age of the Kingdom, and that getting this book is equivalent to receiving God’s entirety, or in other words, this book will lead the future mankind as the Bible did. … Although people all shout that God is almighty and God is all-inclusive, their inherent nature is still apt to circumscribe God within a certain scope. Everyone is resisting and circumscribing God while knowing God.”
“”God’s work in the Age of the Kingdom has just begun. All the words in this book are only what God spoke to the people who followed him at that time. They are merely a part of the expression of God in this incarnation, and they do not represent God’s entirety, even less can they be said to be the entire work that God wants to do in this incarnation. God will speak to people of different races, speak to people with different backgrounds, conquer all mankind, and end the old age; how can he wind up after expressing such a small quantity of words? Only, God’s work is done by phases and by steps. He works according to his plan and expresses his word by steps. How can man fathom God’s almightiness and wisdom? Here, I want to make clear a fact: What God is and has is forever inexhaustible; God is the source of life and the source of all things; God cannot be fathomed by any created being. Finally, I want to warn all people: Don’t circumscribe God once again within a book, within letters, or within the former words of God. The only characteristic of God’s work lies in one word—new. He does not like to walk the old path nor like to do repeating work, and even less does he want man to circumscribe him wihtin a certain scope to worship. This is the nature of God.” After reading these words, I felt that I was small, ignorant, poor, and pitiful, and did not know God. How could I, a person less than an ant, fathom the all-inclusive God? I was really arrogant and unaware of my own limitations! At the same time, I felt extremely excited. In the future God will speak more words to various races in the entire universe, as God says: “God will speak to people of different races, speak to people with different backgrounds, conquer all mankind, and end the old age; how can he wind up after expressing such a small quantity of words?” Only then did I come to understand that God’s working is under no restraint whatever. He works according to man’s present need, rather than sticks to the former things. However, I always circumscribed God within the work he had done. O God, you are an ever-new God. I will never circumscribe you again. Your riches and your almightiness and wisdom cannot be recounted in human language. I am willing to gain the truth and the life from the precious words you have left man. I will drop my notion and follow the pace of your working to the end.
