Although many people believe in God, few understand what it means to believe in God and what they should do to be after God’s heart. The very reason for this is that although people know the word “God” and the words like “God’s work,” they do not know God, much less know God’s work. It is no wonder that all those who do not know God are believing foolishly. People are not serious about the matter of believing in God, all because they are too unfamiliar with and too strange to it. Thus, they fall far short of God’s requirement. That is to say, if people do not know God and do not know God’s work, they cannot be fit for God to use, much less satisfy God’s heart’s desire. “Belief in God” means to believe that there is God, which is the simplest concept of “belief in God.” To go a step further, believing that there is God is not a true belief in God but a simple belief, which has a strong religious color. The true meaning of “belief in God” is that one, on the basis of believing that God is the ruler of all things, experiences God’s word and experiences God’s work, and reaches the point where he casts off his corrupt disposition and satisfies God’s heart’s desire and reaches the point where he knows God. Only such a course is belief in God. But people often regard the matter of believing in God as very simple and very light. People who believe in God like this have lost the meaning of believing in God. Even if they believe to the end, they will not be able to receive God’s approval, because the way they walk is not right. Those who still believe in God in letters and believe in God in empty doctrines today still do not know that they do not have the substance of believing in God and cannot receive God’s approval. They are still praying to God to bless them to receive peace and sufficient grace. We all might quiet our heart and think carefully: Is believing in God the simplest thing in the world? Does believing in God just mean to receive much grace? Could those who believe in God but do not know God and who believe in God but resist God satisfy God’s heart’s desire?
“God” and “man” cannot be mentioned in the same breath. His substance and his work are most unfathomable to man and most incomprehensible to man. If God does not personally work and speak among men, man can by no means understand God’s will. In this case, even those who dedicate their whole life to God cannot receive God’s approval. If God does not work, no matter how well man does, it is in vain, because God’s thoughts are always higher than man’s thoughts and God’s wisdom cannot be fathomed by any man. So, I say that all those who “see through” God and God’s work are incapable ones and are arrogant and ignorant men. Man should not circumscribe God’s work, not to mention that man cannot circumscribe God’s work. Man is simply not as big as an ant in God’s eyes, so how could he fathom God’s work? Aren’t all those who repeatedly say, “God does not work like this and God does not work like that” and “God is like this and God is like that,” the ones who speak arrogant words? We all should know that men of flesh are all ones corrupted by satan and all resist God by nature, and that they cannot be on an equal footing with God, much less give counsel on God’s work. It is God’s own work how he leads man. Man ought to obey and should not have this or that view, because man is only dust. Since we have the intention to seek God, we should not put our notions in God’s work for God to consult, much less consciously try hard to resist God’s work by our corrupt disposition. Aren’t we antichrists by doing so? Are such ones believing in God? Since we believe that there is God and since we want to satisfy God and see God, we should seek the way of truth and seek the way to be compatible with God and should not stand in opposition to God stiff-necked. What good fruit can we reap from doing so?
Now God has done a new work. Maybe you cannot accept this word or maybe you feel it surprising. But I advise you first not to show your naturalness, for only those who truly hunger and thirst for righteousness before God can receive the truth and only those who are truly devout can receive God’s inspiration and guidance. In seeking the truth, we cannot obtain results through arguing and disputing but can only obtain results through seeking calmly and peaceably. The word “Now God has again done a new work” I say refers to the matter of God’s returning in the flesh again. Maybe you do not mind this word, maybe you are very disgusted with it, or maybe you are very interested in it. In any case, I still hope that all those who genuinely thirst after God’s appearing can face this fact and carefully investigate this fact and had better not make a judgment lightly. This is what a sensible man should do.
It is not difficult to investigate such a thing. But it requires every one of us to first know such a truth: Since a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh, he has God’s substance; since a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh, he has God’s expression. Since God is incarnated, he will bring the work he wants to do; since a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh, he will express what God is; since a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh, he can bring man the truth, bestow to man the life, and show man the way. If a flesh does not have God’s substance, he is certainly not the incarnated God. This is beyond doubt. If people want to investigate whether a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh, they have to ascertain that from the disposition and the word he expresses. That is to say, to ascertain whether a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh or whether a way is the true way, people must discern that from his substance. So, whether a flesh is God’s incarnated flesh mainly depends on his substance (his work, word, disposition, and more other aspects), not on his appearance. If people overlook his substance because of investigating his appearance, that is their foolishness and ignorance. Appearance
cannot determine substance. Besides, no work God does can fit man’s notion. Wasn’t Jesus’ appearance an appearance that did not fit man’s notion? Weren’t his appearance and dressing unable to show his true identity? Wasn’t the reason why the Pharisees of that time resisted Jesus that they only looked at Jesus’ appearance but did not carefully receive the words of Jesus’ mouth? I hope that each brother or sister who seeks God’s appearing will not repeat the historical tragedy and will not be a Pharisee of the present age and crucify God again. You should consider carefully how you should welcome God’s return and sober your mind as to how you should be one who obeys the truth. This is the responsibility of everyone who is waiting for Jesus’ returning on the white cloud. We should clear our spiritual eyes. Don’t be trapped in those letters of mounting the clouds and riding the mist. You should think about the realistic work of God and look at God’s practical aspect. Don’t be carried away all the time and be dreamy all day long, always expecting that the Lord Jesus will, sitting on a white cloud of heaven, suddenly descend among you to receive you who have never known him or seen him and do not know how to do his will. Better think about something realistic!
When you open this book, maybe you have the intention to research, or maybe you have the intention to accept. Whatever your attitude is, I still hope that you will finish reading this book. Do not give him up lightly. Maybe when you finish reading all these words, your attitude will change. That depends on your intent and the degree of your understanding. But there is one thing you should know: God’s word cannot be said to be man’s word, much less can man’s word be said to be God’s word; a man used by God is not the incarnated God, and the incarnated God is not a man used by God. They are different in substance. Maybe after you read these words, you do not acknowledge that they are God’s word but only acknowledge that they are the inspiration received by man. Then you are too ignorant. How can God’s word be the same as the inspiration received by man? The word of the incarnated God is to open an age, to lead all mankind, to unlock mysteries, and to bestow to man the direction for walking in the new age. The inspiration received by man is nothing but some simple practices or knowledge, which cannot lead all mankind into a new age or unlock God’s own mysteries. God is God, and man is man; God has God’s substance, and man has man’s substance. If man regards God’s word as simple inspiration of the Holy Spirit but takes the word of the apostles and prophets as God’s own personal word, it is man’s fault. Anyway, you should not confuse right with wrong or call high low and deep shallow. Anyway, you should not deliberately refute it while clearly knowing that it is the truth. Everyone who believes that there is God should investigate things on the right ground and should accept God’s new work and new word on the position of a created being. Otherwise, you will be eliminated by God.
After Jehovah’s work, Jesus was incarnated to work among men. His work was based on Jehovah’s work and was not independent, and it was a work of the new age God did after ending the Age of the Law. Similarly, after Jesus’ work ended, God still continues his work of the next age, for God’s entire management always advances. When the old age passes, there will be a new age to replace it. When the old work ends, there will be a new work to continue God’s management. The incarnation this time is God’s second incarnation after Jesus’ work. Of course, the incarnation this time is not independent either, but it is the third stage of work after the Age of the Law and the Age of the Grace. Every time God carries out a stage of new work, he will make a new start and bring a new age, and his disposition, his way of working, his working place, and his name will all change accordingly. It is not surprising that no man can easily accept God’s work of the new age. But no matter how men resist, God has always been doing his work and has always been leading all mankind to continuously go forward. When Jesus came to the world, he brought the Age of the Grace and ended the Age of the Law. In the end time, God is incarnated again. The incarnation this time ends the Age of the Grace and brings the Age of the Kingdom. All those who can accept the second incarnation will be brought into the Age of the Kingdom and can personally receive God’s leading. When Jesus came among men, he did many works. But he only accomplished the work of redeeming all mankind and was only man’s sin offering, and he did not rid men of all their corrupt disposition. To completely save men from satan’s power, it not only requires Jesus to be the sin offering to bear men’s sins, but also requires God to do a greater work to completely rid men of their disposition corrupted by satan. So, after men’s sins were forgiven, God has again returned in the flesh to lead men into the new age and begin the work of chastisement and judgment. This work has brought mankind into a higher state. All those who submit under his authority will enjoy higher truth, receive greater blessings, truly live in the light, and receive the truth, the way, and the life.
If men only remain in the Age of the Grace, they can never break away from their corrupt disposition, much less know God’s original disposition. If men always live in abundant grace but do not have the way of life through which to know God and satisfy God, then they cannot truly gain God while believing in God. Such a belief is too pitiable. After you have finished reading this book and after you have experienced the incarnated God’s steps of works of the Age of the Kingdom, you will feel that your wish of years has finally come true, feel that today you have really seen God face to face, seen God’s face, heard God’s personal utterance, and tasted God’s working wisdom, and truly feel that God is so practical and God is so almighty. You will feel that you have gained many things that men of former times did not see or gain. At that time, you will clearly know what it means to believe in God and what it means to be after God’s heart. Of course, if you hold on to your past viewpoints and reject and do not accept the fact of God’s second incarnation, then you will only be left with empty hands and gain nothing and eventually end up with the charge of resisting God. Those who can obey the truth and obey God’s work will all come under the name of the God incarnated the second time—the Almighty. All these people will be able to receive God’s personal leading, gain more and higher truths, gain the true human life, and see the vision that men of former times did not see: “I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone ‘like a son of man,’ dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance” (Revelation 1:12-16). This vision is the expression of all God’s disposition, and this expression of all God’s disposition is the very expression of the work of the God incarnated this time. In the torrents of chastisement and judgment, the Son of Man expresses his original disposition in a way of uttering his voice and speaking, causing all those who accept his chastisement and judgment to see the true image of the Son of Man. This image is just the true portrayal of the Son of Man’s image that John saw. (Of course, those who do not accept God’s work of the Age of the Kingdom cannot see these at all.) God’s true image cannot be fully described by man in words. So, God reveals his real image before man in a way of expressing his original disposition. That is to say, all those who have experienced the original disposition of the Son of Man have seen the real image of the Son of Man, for God is so great that man cannot fully describe him in words. After you have experienced God’s steps of works of the Age of the Kingdom, you will know the true meaning of John’s words concerning the Son of Man among the lampstands: “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.” At that time, you will be fully certain that this ordinary flesh who has spoken so many words is indeed the God incarnated the second time, and you will truly feel that you have received so great a blessing and that you are the most fortunate man. Are you not willing to inherit this blessing?
