16. If One Is to Enter Reality, One Must Resolve the Problem of Adhering to Rules

The work of God of the last days involves judging people, chastising people and trying and refining people in order to change their corrupt dispositions. At the same time, people must experience God’s work so that they can understand the truth and know God. When man has a genuine knowledge of God, he will have attained the real results of understanding the truth and having God’s word as his life. Putting the truth into practice is built upon the foundation of a genuine understanding of the truth. Only a genuine understanding of the essence of God’s words and understanding the true meaning of the truth can produce the path and result of putting the truth into practice. While experiencing God’s work, God requires that we must pursue the truth and obtain the truth so that we can use the truth to resolve problems—only those who have this reality can truly be saved and perfected. There are many people who have believed in God for many years but who do not know what it means to put the truth into practice, the reason being that they do not really understand the truth. The degree to which someone understands the truth is also the degree to which one can put the truth into practice. Those who cling to and are restricted by rules do not understand the truth because they understand only letters and doctrines, and not the essence of the truth. Therefore, all they can do is adhere to rules and go through formalities. There is a universal problem that exists in churches: Believers are only able to talk about letters and doctrines, adhere to rules when doing things and are always restricted by rules. At meetings, they fellowship pretty well. However, when it comes to their actual lives, they are unable to put the truth into practice, always being restricted by this or that rule. They do not know what to do and they cannot find a solution. They are armchair strategists who, when they try to apply their theories in real-life situations, become confused and disoriented. Therefore, they are not able to satisfy God when they fulfill their duties. The source of this issue is that they do not genuinely understand the truth. All they talk about are letters and doctrines. How can they guide other people into the reality of God’s words if they fail to enter the reality of the truth? In contrast, those who genuinely understand the truth know that the real meaning of putting the truth into practice is to fulfill God’s requirements for man. It is to live out the likeness of a genuine human being before God. Living out the truth was the only requirement God had of man when He created him. Moreover, they know that adhering to rules will in no way fulfill God’s requirements and nor will they achieve the likeness they should live out. Therefore, those who genuinely understand the truth absolutely do not adhere to rules and neither are they restricted by them. They feel that it is utterly meaningless. Only those who like to talk about letters and doctrines and do not genuinely understand the truth would instruct people to adhere to rules because they do the same, because they believe that adhering to rules is putting the truth into practice, and because they think that only adhering to rules fulfills God’s demands. All those who adhere to rules or are restricted by rules do not understand spiritual matters and are incapable of understanding the truth. Regardless of how clearly others communicate the truth, they only understand doctrines. When it comes to practicing, all they do is adhere to rules—to them, adhering to rules is practicing the truth, and practicing the truth cannot be done without adhering to rules. These people are absurd and they do not understand spiritual matters. They do not understand the essence of the truth at all.

Those that genuinely understand the truth never adhere to rules when they do things. They are not restricted at all by rules. When they work, they only focus on principles and seek results. They are good at feeling out God’s intentions and contemplating God’s meaning when they seek the truth. Does the above adhere to rules when he works, or issues work arrangements as well as sermons and fellowship? Not at all. His work is based on the church’s actual situations. He looks for opportunities to issue to the church. The purpose of the work arrangements and sermons that he issues is to resolve the real issues that exist within the church and to resolve the problems that God’s chosen people face in regard to life entry. If he does not find any problems, he does not work. Usually, he just focuses on learning the situation and clarifying the sources of problems. Moreover, it is very easy for him to discover problems in all kinds of situations. He never adheres to rules, and he is principled in all things. Those that do not have the truth do not know what to do when they face problems. Those that genuinely understand the truth are particularly acute when they discover problems. When they communicate with others or from the problems that exist within the church life, they are able to discover existing problems with church leaders and workers. They are also able to discover difficulties that God’s chosen people have with life entry. That is why, in the experience of guiding God’s chosen people to enter the reality of God’s words, they always have work to do, truth to communicate and problems to resolve. There are no rules when it comes to their work nor are they controlled at all by rules. Those that genuinely understand the truth are flexible and normal. Those that genuinely understand the truth can use the truth to resolve problems, are not controlled by rules, can satisfy God when they fulfill their duties and can serve God’s will as leaders and workers. Only these kinds of people are those who genuinely understand the truth and who enter into the reality of God’s words.

Where do the differences lie between practicing the truth and adhering to rules? Examples will be given below. Let’s take the truth of obedience to God, for example. Just what exactly is obedience to God? To obey God is to obey everything that comes from God. This includes everything that God says and every truth that God has. This also encompasses obeying the Holy Spirit’s work and obeying all of God’s domination and arrangements. This is what it means to obey God. Those that genuinely obey God do not make individual choices or have their own personal impurities when they obey God. They unconditionally and absolutely practice in accordance with God’s meaning and requirements. They obey God like soldiers following orders—these are people who genuinely obey God. They are able to absolutely obey the authority of God’s words. They can obey until death without any complaints whatsoever. This is the highest realm of obeying God. Those who obey God with conditions, reasons or personal choices are not people that genuinely obey God. Those who adhere to rules frequently take the superficial meaning of one particular verse of God and follow it as if it were a rule. They do not seek God’s true requirements for man and they do not seek the real results that must be achieved through putting God’s words into practice. Adhering to rules does not represent genuine obedience. Even more so, it does not represent living out the likeness of a genuine human being through practicing the truth. Of course, this does not satisfy God’s will. Therefore, this way of practice of adhering to rules is not putting the truth into the practice at all. What is even more pitiful is that some people pick out a verse of God’s words to adhere to that is in keeping with man’s conceptions, and they neglect the other deeper and more important words. This kind of out-of-context way to practice is even less putting the truth into practice and is not being obedient to God at all. Some people even take some of the words associated with God’s past work in order to deny God’s present word. This is a means by which Satan resists God, and within, there are Satan’s tricks and its intention. These kinds of people adhere to one of God’s verses related to a previous stage of His work that is already outdated, and use it to deny God’s present words. This is a very treacherous and malicious way of resisting God. All sorts of antichrists and deceivers resist and oppose God in this way.

Practicing the truth of obedience to God must involve principles and it must be in accordance with God’s present words. Only the present requirements that God has for man represent God’s will. As far as those who genuinely obey God are concerned, regardless of what the conditions are and regardless of what God’s requirements are, man must obey unconditionally. For some people, their obedience to God is practiced under the condition of enjoying grace. Their premise for obedience is that it must be in accordance with man’s notions and imagination. If there is no grace to enjoy, they will not obey God. These people do not pursue the truth. Are these people who only enjoy grace and are not willing at all to suffer and pay the price genuinely obedient to God? Can they obtain God’s perfection? In regard to the truth of obedience to God, how exactly to practice in a way that is obeying God and how to practice in a way that is adhering to rules, what should you base your discernment of these matters on? Those who genuinely obey God and put the truth into practice obey God from their hearts. They completely keep a heart that obeys God when they put the truth into practice. Their hearts have already obeyed God. Afterward, they adhere to the principles of practice. The results that can be attained through practicing obedience to God in this manner are that one will have a change in one’s life disposition and that one will have a heart that obeys and reveres God. In practicing the truth this way, you are using your heart, and at the same time using actions to satisfy God. The results from this way of practice will let other people see that this person indeed is someone that reveres God. This person’s heart indeed is considerate of God’s will and it satisfies God. Those that adhere to rules can only cause other people to see that externally, it seems that they are not resisting God. However, other people cannot see that these people’s hearts obey God. Externally, it seems like they are obeying and satisfying God. However, after a period of time, this sort of implementation shows no indications that this person has any changes in their life disposition. This is the essential difference between adhering to rules and putting the truth into practice. Which form of practice would you say satisfies God? Genuinely putting the truth into practice or adhering to rules? Which form of practice would you say is obeying God?

Let’s take another example. How should the truth of serving God be put into practice? First, you must understand God’s requirements, and this must be in accordance with God’s word. Serving God is to guide God’s chosen people to eat and drink God’s words and to experience God’s words so that they can have an understanding of the truth and enter into reality and become people that obey and worship God. This is how to put into practice guiding people before God. In the process of putting this into practice, you must, according to your own experience and understanding of the truth, continuously resolve all the problems that God’s chosen people encounter in their experiences. In this way, while God’s chosen people gradually come to understand the truth and enter into the reality of God’s words, they also achieve a genuine understanding of God and in the end will be able to absolutely obey and worship God. If you can achieve these results while you are accomplishing God’s commission, you are someone that genuinely serves God. While practicing serving God, each time you fellowship, you will be able to exalt God, bear witness to God’s deeds, use the truth to resolve problems and help people produce a genuine understanding, praise and worship for God. If you can achieve these results, then you will be serving God in the most substantial way. Whoever can talk about a genuine understanding of God, can most clearly, comprehensively and incisively bear witness to God’s work, God’s salvation and God’s love for man, and cause others to genuinely know God and completely return to God—that person is someone who truly serves God. Thus, it can be said that only those who genuinely bear witness to God and exalt God are people who serve God. This is the real meaning of the truth of serving God. There are some church leaders and workers that are unable to fellowship a genuine knowledge of God when they work. Instead, they talk about letters and doctrines, they have others do work according to their own whims and adhere to rules. They absolutely cannot bring people to understand the truth and enter into reality. The result is that people do not understand the truth or know God even after many years of faith. Clearly, all that they do does not bear witness to God or exalt God at all. Are they then people that serve God? Absolutely not. Instead, they are people that expose themselves and show themselves off. They are people that serve yet resist God. Their way of doing things will never be capable of bringing people before God. As to whether they are people that put the truth into practice, this is obvious.

Let me give you another example. Just what is standing witness? Standing witness is also the reality of the truth that God’s chosen people must enter. According to God’s meaning, it is to persevere with eating and drinking God’s word and pursuing the truth while experiencing God’s work. Regardless of how much judgment and chastisement, trials and refinement, persecution and tribulations you experience, you still do not leave God’s word, you persist in eating and drinking God’s word and you adhere to the way of truth, following God until the end. Finally, you achieve a genuine faith and knowledge of God and your life disposition changes. Increasingly, you feel that God is love, the truth, the way and the life. Moreover, you are able to obey all of God’s domination and arrangements. That is, no matter how painful or how severe your trials and refinement are, you are still able to obey to the end without a word of complaint. This kind of person is someone that stands witness. This kind of person is someone that follows God to the end of the road and receives God’s praise. Even if God refines these people for another few decades, they will not betray God. Their faith just becomes greater and greater, they follow God closer and closer and their humanity becomes more and more normal. In every church, there are a certain number of these people. They believe in God and pursue the truth with sincerity. These people stand witness without a doubt and they receive God’s salvation. The essence of standing witness is to stand on God’s side and be of one mind with God throughout all kinds of refinement and trials. It is to love God with no regrets, to do one’s utmost to defend God’s work, defend the interests of God’s chosen people and to be loyal to God until death. Regardless of what refinement and trials these people experience, they do not leave God, fulfill their duties all the same and are loyal to God. When the great red dragon topples, these people will be able to talk about their own genuine experiences and testimony. In their hearts, they express genuine praise and reverence for God. These are the group of overcomers God has formed. Those that do not stand witness are those who do not pursue the truth, who enjoy the comforts of the flesh, who do not fulfill their duties and they are incredible cowards who are afraid of the great red dragon. Moreover, in their experiences of God’s work, they do not pursue the truth and they only pursue power, status and to deceive God’s chosen people. They disrupt church life and they are people that do all sorts of evil things. Additionally, these people do not focus on eating and drinking God’s word or pursue the truth. They long for God’s day to arrive and they want to be blessed and break away from the suffering of the disasters, and these people want to enter into the kingdom in one leap. These people that believe in God but do not bear witness absolutely do not fellowship a genuine understanding of God, nor do they live out a normal humanity and a likeness of a real human being. Therefore, these people do not have any witnessing to speak of. Those that do not have real testimony cannot stand witness. Those who believe in God but do not fulfill their own duties, even more so, do not bear witness. All those who do not pursue the truth, who always hope that God’s day will arrive faster and that they can escape suffering, who always long to keep God’s name alone and if only they do not betray God, they will be able to obtain God’s salvation and blessing are the people that adhere to rules. These people are dreamers and they want their dreams to come true. Actually, all those who do not have the reality of the truth and do not bear witness, their life dispositions will not experience any change whatsoever. They are all failures in regard to faith.

Let me give another example. What does it mean to despise the great red dragon? All those who genuinely understand and love God are certainly also people who detest and rebel against the great red dragon. Actually, the more of a genuine understanding that man has for God, the deeper their hate for Satan and the great red dragon. The more they understand the truth and become people equipped with the truth, the more genuine their rebellion against Satan and the great red dragon will be. Some people do not understand the truth. Even though they also hate the great red dragon, their hate is definitely shallower. It is not genuine, and they cannot reach true rebellion. If people do not have the truth, then they will not be able to see the great red dragon’s evil nature and essence clearly. In this case, their hate for the great red dragon will only be a superficial hate. They only hate the great red dragon’s deeds and behavior. They do not have genuine hate for the great red dragon’s nature and essence. If the great red dragon does not persecute them, or if it grants them some benefits, then they even stop hating it. If the great red dragon does not do so many evil things that resist God, they will even sing its praises. If someone only has a superficial hate for the great red dragon, do they truly hate it? Can this kind of hate produce witness of rebelling against it? Not at all. How many kinds of hate are there for the great red dragon? Which hate is true hate and which hate is superficial hate? Which kind of hate can produce rebellion against it? Which kind of hate causes one to be easily deceived and used, to rely on the great red dragon, and to even be able to join their ranks? Can you see through these essential problems of hating it? What are the manifestations of genuine rebellion against it? Do you completely stand on the side of God? Has your heart turned completely toward God? Do you fulfill your duties loyally? Do you truly obey God and have you been obtained by God? Do you have these realities of truly rebelling against it? The great red dragon is God’s adversary. There can be no harmony between God and the great red dragon. There is no neutral ground between them. If you are not loyal to God, then you do not genuinely rebel against the great red dragon. If you cannot truly obey God, you do not genuinely rebel against the great red dragon. If you cannot be of one mind with God, then you are not someone who has thoroughly broken off with the great red dragon. Do you believe that rebelling against the great red dragon is a simple matter? Entering the reality of the truth is not a simple matter.

Those without the truth cannot see through a person’s true state. It is not easy for them to see whether someone truly understands the truth. How can we discern whether someone truly understands the truth? First, you must acknowledge that the truth is something that God requires man to understand and put into action. Moreover, it is a life reality that man must possess. Only those who possess the truth can live out the likeness of a genuine human being. What is the truth? According to God’s word, it is a life reality that someone with normal humanity should have. This life reality is tangible. It has the likeness that is lived out. When someone lives out the likeness of the truth, they are people who are living out the likeness of a genuine human being as God has demanded. Only if man lives according to God’s word do they have the likeness of a genuine human being. It is absolutely impossible for man to live out the true meaning of a life if they do not possess the truth. They can only live out a genuine life if they have the truth. This is for certain. Clearly, understanding the truth is not as simple as people imagine it to be. The implication of the truth is something that man is unable to fully describe with words. Only those who understand God and who have been perfected by God can feel a part of the mystery within. The truth is life. It is normal humanity and the life disposition of a genuine human being. How man can obey God so that he can fulfill God’s criteria and demands, what those who genuinely obey God can enjoy, and the things that man can see once he lives in the likeness that is in accordance with God’s words, these are all things that are related to the degree of the truth that they understand. Therefore, for those who genuinely understand the truth, when their expressions of putting the truth into practice and the manner in which they live it out are seen by others, these observers will certainly receive benefits and edification, and see that they have truth and humanity and are normal and practical. If God’s chosen people can all live according to God’s word and become people who possess the truth and humanity, then Christ’s kingdom will emerge. What God’s chosen people live out is the likeness of a genuine human being. However, abiding by the regulations cannot come close to achieving these results. Since those who abide by regulations do not understand the essence of the truth, there is no way for them to live out a normal humanity. Instead, they still live under the control of old Satan and according to the desires of their flesh. Their hearts are like pools of stagnant water. Their manifestations are those of the dead. Even if they do practice some things, they abide by the regulations like robots following protocol, and they are lacking vitality. Because they do not have the likeness of a genuine human being, nor do they show the signs of having the breath of a living being, they cannot contribute at all to other people. These are the differences between practicing the truth and abiding by regulations. Those who abide by regulations fulfill their duties on the surface, but they are just deceiving God and dealing with God perfunctorily. Externally, it seems like they are serving God, but in fact, they are interrupting and disturbing the work. On the surface, it seems like they are communicating the truth. In reality, they are using theoretical reasoning to show off themselves. Their work does not serve God. In essence, they resist God. Even though those who abide by the regulations say that they hate the great red dragon, inside their hearts, they are still sometimes fond of it. If the great red dragon shows them some grace, they are still able to feel grateful for it. This lets us see a fact. People who abide by the regulations do not understand the truth and they do not have life. They are still capable of resisting and betraying God. Therefore, those who abide by regulations do not have the reality of the truth.

Only those who truly understand the truth can enter reality because only those who understand the truth can put the truth into practice. Those who are liable to abide by regulations absolutely are not able to put the truth into practice. It must be clear that practicing the truth involves principles. As you are practicing, the main standard must be to uphold these principles. The bottom line is that you absolutely must not violate the principles. Only acting according to the principles and guaranteeing that the principles are not violated is accurately practicing the truth. Only those that do not understand the truth abide by regulations. Those who genuinely understand the truth pay attention to the principles of practice. God frequently tells us to do things according to principles. Only by doing things according to principles can we accurately put the truth into practice. What does it mean to do things according to principles? How do principles come about? If we do not truly understand the truth, we will not be able to find and grasp the principles. Principles come precisely from recognizing the essence of truth. Only when we can see the essence of truth clearly will we discover the principles. Now, how can we determine the principles of practicing the truth? This involves understanding the essence of the truth. The principles of practice come from an understanding of the essence of the truth. That is, they are based on and come about from the true meaning of the truth. When you understand the essence of the truth, you will know the results that should be achieved from practicing the truth. Based on the effects in various aspects that can be achieved, you will be able to determine a few principles of practice. Afterward, you act in accordance with these principles, and if you can achieve results, then that is putting the truth into practice. The most important aspect of following the principles of practice is that you can satisfy God’s demands. It is not about having the right way of doing things. Rather, it is that people’s heart is capable of obeying and satisfying God, and this is the basis of practicing the truth. If your heart cannot obey God, even if you are doing well externally, it is a fake image and it is deception. If your heart obeys God, your external practice is definitely genuine. Therefore, the main expression of putting the truth into practice is that you are first able to obey within your heart. Afterward, you have the right way of practice according to principles. This is the result that God demands man to achieve in regard to putting the truth into practice. Only if you grasp the principles of putting the truth into practice can you do so accurately.

Take the practice of being an honest person as an example. Even if you do not speak lies, does your heart still have deception, treachery, or other intentions in front of God? This involves the principles of practicing the truth of becoming an honest person. If your heart is completely clean, simple, open and honest in front of God, then will you be able to speak honest things without falsehoods. If you only focus on not telling lies but the deceitful intentions in your heart have not been resolved, then even if you sometimes say and carry out things that are pretty good, your heart has not been cleansed. Is this a truly honest person? Is this someone who puts the truth into practice? Practicing the truth of becoming an honest person is not a simple matter. If you only focus on not telling lies, this is a manifestation of abiding by regulations. Even if you can temporarily stop your mouth from telling lies, but if your heart has treachery and deception and you are capable of using other methods to lie, then this is not practicing the truth of being an honest person. For some people, the truth of being an honest person is only focusing on not telling lies with their lips. They neglect resolving the lies and deception that exist in their hearts. The result is that after many years of practice, they still haven’t resolved their lies and deception. Does this way of practice represent their entering into the reality of God’s word? Have they lived out the likeness of a truly honest person? None of these results have been achieved. How can it be said that they have entered into the reality of the truth? Now, how can the principles of the truth of being an honest person be determined? To resolve speaking no lies, you must first resolve the treachery and deception within your heart. You must first understand the essence of speaking lies and practicing deception. When a man’s heart is able to hate treachery and deception, he will be able to carry out the truth of being an honest person. This is the foundation upon which being an honest person is built upon. Your heart must understand the essence of treachery and lies and be able to hate them, and to truly hate the treachery and deception of the great red dragon, as well as its Satanic nature of hating truth and opposing God. These are the preconditions of being an honest person. Some people cannot see through the essence of lies and deception. Their hearts do not hate them. This is why they cannot achieve results through practice. Even though they can guarantee that they will not tell lies in regard to one situation, they cannot fundamentally resolve the problem of deception and telling lies. Can this practice of abiding rules bring about changes in a person’s disposition? Can they live out the likeness of a genuine human being? This is self-evident, and does not need to be explained further. In order to practice the truth and enter into the reality of God’s words, you must first be clear as to what problems must be resolved and what results must be achieved. This touches upon the issue of the principles of practice. The first principle of being an honest person is that your heart absolutely must not have lies and treachery. The second principle is that your heart absolutely must not have other intentions. It must not have transactions, reasoning, and choices. The third principle is that your heart must absolutely only be for the purpose of satisfying God. It must not be concerned with how others treat you. Once you are completely certain about these few principles, you will see that each of these principles is indivisible and indispensable to practicing the truth of being an honest person. If you practice being an honest person by following these three principles, you will achieve the appropriate results. Therefore, putting the truth into practice must involve principles of practice. When you put it into practice, the right and true way to do it is to abide by the principles and to not violate the principles. When you are able to practice being an honest man by following these principles, this is accurately practicing the truth of being an honest man. If you can determine accurate and appropriate principles for each aspect of the truth that you put into practice and you are able to follow these principles while practicing the truth, then you are accurately putting the truth into practice. Once you can determine the accurate principles of practice for each truth you should enter and you can do things according to these principles, you are a person who genuinely puts the truth into practice. Only those who can put the truth into practice in all circumstances are people who genuinely obey God. Now, you should be clear about the main differences between putting the truth into practice and abiding by regulations! In the past, when we talked about entering into reality, it mainly referred to putting the truth into practice in all matters. Whichever aspect you put the truth into practice is the aspect where you have reality. If you could put one particular truth into practice that is the truth you entered into reality of. Only putting truths into practice is entering into reality.

The majority of people cannot tell the difference between practicing the truth and following rules. They can even treat following rules as if it were practicing the truth. This happens very frequently. I will give you the following examples. Some people ask: Should I take advantage of the unbelievers I deal with? What should I do if I find money? Should I attend university? Can I eat pork or not? Should I find a partner when I come of age? What should I do if special circumstances prevent me from attending meetings? If a gospel target gives me a gift, should I pass it on to the church? Should I hand the donations received from the churches of the Age of the Grace to the church? If I give money to brothers and sisters, should I first obtain the approval of a leader or should I give it to a leader or worker to pass it on to them? When some leaders or workers discover a problem, they just blindly get brothers and sisters to try to get to know themselves and self-reflect, but don’t communicate the truth to resolve the problem. Regardless of what illness befalls a brother or sister, these leaders or workers will say, “You must have offended God. Quickly get to know yourself.” This causes the brother or sister to feel very repressed. And there are many other examples. These issues actually do not involve the truth at all. No matter how well you practice regarding these issues, you are still not practicing the truth. Just because someone does some good deeds, it does not mean that they are obeying God. Regardless of how well you handle these trivial matters, it just means that you have a bit of humanity and done some good deeds. Why are most people so interested in these trivial matters? The main reason is that they do not understand what the truth is. This is the root of the problem. To practice the truth, it is imperative to first resolve the issue of understanding the truth. If one does not genuinely understand the truth, they will never be able to practice the truth. Practicing the truth must be built upon the foundation of genuinely understanding the truth. Only those who can practice the truth are people who have entered the reality of God’s words. Doing things that are not related to the truth, regardless of how well, does not represent entering the reality of the truth. These things that even the good people among unbelievers can do have nothing to do with the truth. Presently, the truths that people most need to enter are the ten truths that one must enter in order to be saved. If you are equipped with these ten truths, not only will you have true faith in God, you will also have true knowledge of Him. Not only will you see through Satan’s nature and essence, you will also be able to see through Satan’s tricks and not be deceived by Satan. Not only will you understand the Holy Spirit’s work, you will also know how to differentiate the work of evil spirits and you will be able to discern the work of evil spirits as well as the deceptions of all sorts of false Christs, antichrists, and wicked people. Only if you are equipped with these ten truths will you be guaranteed to possess these four discernments and not be deceived by Satan. Only believers who can achieve not being deceived by Satan and overcome Satan are people who will be saved and break free from Satan’s influence. Only such people are overcomers perfected by God. Only this is the true stature that God’s chosen people must possess. Even if you can abide by rules extremely well, does it mean that you can discern the work of evil spirits and the deceptions of false Christs and antichrists? Does it mean that you can see through Satan’s tricks to stand firm and bear witness?

Believing in God requires engaging in proper work and grasping the understanding and entry of these ten truths. Do not make a fuss over trivial matters. Grasp these ten truths and do your utmost to understand them. Only by finding out the way to practice these truths will you be able to enter into reality. For example, how does one practice the truth to achieve obedience of God? Which truths must one understand to have discernment? How can one achieve using the truth to resolve problems? How does one practice to exalt and bear witness to God? How should one deal with the deception and manipulation of false leaders, false workers, and antichrists? These things are directly related to whether one can follow God to the end of the road, and whether one can stand firm, bear witness and be saved. Only such are fundamental issues that people should be focusing on. Only by resolving these issues does one resolve the most basic and crucial issue of believing in God. Many people do not work hard when it comes to the truth but are always asking around everywhere on how to practice regarding trivial matters. These people are being very short-sighted and do not at all grasp the truths they ought to understand and enter. These people have believed in God for many years and are yet still pitiful to this extent. Even now they do not know what the most important truths to understand are. Do these people still have hope of being saved? Which truths are the most important to understand in regard to believing in God? Being equipped with these ten truths is most fundamental. Do not concern yourself with trivial matters for now. If you understand these ten truths, you will naturally know how to deal with these trivial matters appropriately. If you do not understand the ten truths, it does not matter how well you handle these trivial matters because God will not praise you. This is because people who don’t understand the truth can still get captured by Satan, have a relapse, and can continue to do evil and sin, resist God and betray God. Isn’t this a frightening thing? Resolving the issue of obeying God is crucial to believing in God. Achieving knowledge of God is crucial. Only by changing one’s life disposition does one gain life. A person who does not seek the truth and merely follows rules is extremely foolish! It is similar to someone with cancer as well as several minor illnesses. Should he first treat his cancer or his minor illnesses? Of course, he should first treat the cancer. It is not too late to treat minor illnesses once it is certain that he won’t die. If the minor illnesses are treated first, he still can’t avoid death in the end once the cancer flares up, even though the minor illnesses are cured. How should intelligent people choose when it comes to the issue of being saved? They should first resolve the critical issue of man’s nature, which is the issue of how to seek the truth to resolve their dispositional problem of resisting and betraying God. That is why I advise those who only follow rules to wake up without delay and stop being muddleheaded! Only by understanding these ten truths clearly will you no longer be deceived by Satan and be guaranteed to follow God to the end of the road, stand firm, bear witness, and not betray God. Once these several major issues are resolved, the trivial matters will also naturally become clear. Would you say that following rules is more important or is understanding the truth more important? Which of the two can help you achieve a change in life disposition and true obedience of God? Believing in God requires intelligence and wisdom. All those who merely follow rules are short-sighted and blind. Only those who always focus on seeking the truth and take seeking the truth seriously are people who are wise and will be praised by God.

When I communicate the truth, I never tell other people how to follow rules. I am most disgusted with those who always talk about how to practice regarding inconsequential and trifling matters. I never respond to them. I pay attention to answering questions that involve the truth and life entry. Many people make a fuss over trivial matters. It is as though they are seeking to satisfy God, and yet they betray God when it comes to matters involving major principles. They pretend to be kind for trivial things but do evil when it comes to important things. They are willing to be disadvantaged when it comes to trivial things but take advantage of others when it comes to important things. They pretend to obey when it comes to trivial things but betray when it comes to important things. Aren’t these people hypocrites? What God wants is for people to satisfy Him when it comes to crucial and important things and matters of principle. If a person does not satisfy God in regard to small things but satisfies God in regard to important and crucial things, then they will still receive God’s praise. If a person satisfies God in regard to small things but betrays God in regard to important things and principles, then they will still be punished and cursed by God. This is similar to a family in which the children bring gifts in their free time to see their parents, but when their parents are ill or in difficulties and need assistance, the children do not go to see them. Are these really people who are filial to their parents? Would parents like such children? Practicing the truth must involve principles and is absolutely not just following rules. Those who seek the truth must grasp matters that involve the truth and not let go. How to act in accordance with God’s intentions is a matter of principle. You can only satisfy God if you are able to practice the truth in regard to big things that involve principles. No matter how well you practice in regard to trivial matters, it does not mean you have the truth, and moreover it does not mean that you are a person who obeys God. Those who believe in God should pay particular attention to reality, engage in proper work, and do their utmost to enter the reality of the truth as a matter of urgency and without delay. Only by completely understanding each truth can one find the practicing principles and a concrete path of practice. If you often treat the truth perfunctorily, and only want to understand some doctrines and follow rules as though you were practicing the truth and have reality, then aren’t you just deceiving God? It is akin to someone who thinks that they are erudite after only completing middle school. Isn’t this a superficial and foolish person? This is how preposterous those who only follow rules are. People who only follow rules will never be able to practice the truth. All people who only follow rules are people who do not understand the truth, that’s for sure. All those in the church who fuss over trivial matters are people who only follow rules. All those in the church who keep asking how this should be done or that should be done are people who do not understand the truth. Only those who pay attention to how to obey God, love God, satisfy God, bear witness to God, use the truth to resolve problems, and how to fulfill their duties loyally are people who can practice the truth. Only those that can practice the truth are people who can live out the reality of God’s word.

Presently, the Holy Spirit’s work is to lead God’s chosen people to enter all truths. As a result, our church life revolves around only eating and drinking God’s words and communicating the truth, the goal of which is to enable God’s chosen people to understand all truths. Only through a clear understanding of every aspect of the truth can one practice the truth accurately. The problem most people have now is that they just hold on to rules, are controlled by rules, and don’t know how to practice the truth accurately. There are some people who even treat following rules as practicing the truth. Accordingly, following rules has become people’s greatest difficulty in terms of practicing the truth. Resolving the problem of following rules and being controlled by rules is not a simple matter. People only have the difficulty of following and being controlled by rules because their understanding of the truth is unclear and inadequate. To put it more precisely, people still cannot genuinely understand the truth, let alone practice it. Only those who solely understand letters and doctrines would develop “following rules” as their method of practice. This shows that the “following rules” method of practice is developed from merely understanding letters and doctrines. Only when a person genuinely understands the truth will they develop principles for practicing the truth. All those who do not genuinely understand the truth and only understand letters and doctrines are people who like to follow rules. Only when we see through the root cause of this issue will we know how to thoroughly resolve the problem of following rules. Therefore, all those who like to follow rules and are controlled by rules must be clear that, if they want to fundamentally resolve this problem, they must still continue to pursue the truth to achieve genuine understanding and knowledge of the truth. You only genuinely understand the truth when your understanding of the truth reaches a certain extent and you can be sure that you have developed principles for practicing the truth. By then, your problem of following and being controlled by rules will also be resolved.
