Gospel Movie Clip "Yearning" (5) - Where Is the Place That the Lord Has Prepared for Us?
Two thousand years ago, the Lord Jesus promised, "I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:2-3). Many people believe that the Lord returned to heaven, so He is certainly preparing a place for us in heaven. Is this understanding in line with the Lord's words? What mysteries are contained within this promise?
Many people believe that, by believing in the Lord, their sins are forgiven and they are saved, that to be saved once is to be saved forever and that, when the Lord comes again, they can immediately be raptured up into the heavenly kingdom. There is one fact, however, that cannot be denied: Although man’s sins are forgiven when they believe in the Lord, they are still capable of frequently lying and cheating and displeasing the Lord. They can reveal such satanic corrupt dispositions as being arrogant and self-righteous, selfish and despicable, crooked and crafty, and they live in a cycle of sinning and confessing, without the ability to free themselves. This shows that man’s sinful nature has not been eradicated. It says in the Bible, “Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). So are those who have not yet been purified of their sinful natures the ones who have attained full salvation? Are they capable of being raptured straight up into the heavenly kingdom? What exactly does it mean to be saved? And what does it mean to attain full salvation?Read More
