The Commandments of the New Age

You have been told to equip yourselves with the words of God, that regardless of what is arranged for you, all is orchestrated by God’s own hand, and that there is no need for your earnest prayer or supplication—they are useless. Yet in terms of the present situation, the practical problems facing you are unimaginable to you. If you merely await the arrangements of God, your progress will be too slow, and for those who don’t know how to experience there will be much passivity. Thus, if you are unable to completely see through to these things, then you are muddled and silly in your experiencing. If you have no reality but only words, is this not a sign of erroneousness? Much erroneousness is visible in you, this group. Today, you’re incapable of achieving such trials as “service-doers,” or else are incapable of imagining or achieving other refinement related to the words of God. You must adhere to the many things you are required to put into practice. Which is to say, people must adhere to the many duties that they should perform. This is what people should adhere to, and what they must carry out. Let the Holy Spirit do what must be done by the Holy Spirit; man can play no part in it. Man should adhere to what ought to be done by man, which bears no relation to the Holy Spirit. It is nothing but that which ought to be done by man, and should be adhered to as commandment, just like adherence to the law of the Old Testament. Although now is not the Age of Law, there are still many words of a kind with the Age of Law that should be adhered to, and they are not carried out merely by relying on being touched by the Holy Spirit, but are what should be adhered to by man. For example: You shall not pass judgment on the work of the practical God. You shall not oppose the man who is testified to by God. Before God, you shall keep your place and shall not be dissolute. You should be moderate in speech, and your words and actions must follow the arrangements of the man testified to by God. You should revere the testimony of God. You shall not ignore the work of God and the words from His mouth. You shall not imitate the tone and aims of God’s utterances. Externally, you shall not do anything that manifestly opposes the man who is testified to by God. And so on. These are what each person should adhere to. In each age, God specifies many rules that are akin to the laws and are to be adhered to by man. Through this, He constrains man’s disposition, and detects his sincerity. Take the words “Honor your father and your mother” of the Old Testament age, for example. These words do not apply today; at the time, they merely constrained some of man’s external disposition, they were used to demonstrate the sincerity of man’s belief in God, and were a mark of those who believed in God. Although now is the Age of Kingdom, there are still many rules that man must adhere to. The rules of the past don’t apply; today, there are many, more fitting practices for man to carry out, and which are necessary. They do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit and must be done by man.

In the Age of Grace, many of the practices of the Age of Law were discarded because these laws were not particularly effective for the work at that time. After they were discarded, many practices were set out that were suitable for the age, and which have become the many rules of today. When the God of today came, these rules were dispensed with, and no longer needed to be adhered to, and there were set out many practices suitable for the work of today. Today, these practices are not rules, but in order to achieve an effect; they are suitable for today—and tomorrow, perhaps, they will become rules. In sum, you should adhere to that which is fruitful for the work of today. Pay no heed to tomorrow: What is done today is for the sake of today. Maybe tomorrow there will be better practices which you will be required to carry out—but do not pay too much attention to that, adhere to that which should be adhered to today so as to avoid opposing God. Today, nothing is more crucial for man to adhere to than the following: You must not deceive or conceal anything from the God that stands before your eyes. You shall not utter filthiness or arrogant talk in front of the God before you. You shall not deceive the God before your eyes by good words and fair speeches in order to gain His trust. You shall not act irreverently before God. You shall obey all that is spoken from the mouth of God, and shall not resist, oppose, or dispute His words. You shall not interpret, as you see fit, the words spoken from the mouth of God. You should guard your tongue to avoid it causing you to fall prey to the deceitful schemes of the wicked. You should guard your footsteps to avoid transgressing the boundaries set out for you by God. Doing so will cause you to speak conceited and pompous words from the perspective of God, and thus become loathed by God. You shall not carelessly repeat the words spoken from the mouth of God, lest others mock you and the devils make a fool of you. You shall obey all of the work of the God of today. Even if you do not understand it, you shall not pass judgment on it; all you can do is seek and fellowship. No person shall transgress God’s original place. You can do nothing more than serve the God of today from the position of man. You cannot teach the God of today from the position of man—to do so is misguided. No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God; in your words, actions, and inmost thoughts, you stand in the position of man. This is to be abided by, it is the responsibility of man, it is alterable by no one, and doing so would violate the administrative decrees. It should be remembered by all.

The long time that God has spent speaking and uttering has caused man to consider reading and memorizing the words of God to be his primary task. No one pays attention to practice, and even that which you ought to abide by you do not, so this has brought many difficulties and problems to your service. If, prior to practicing the words of God, you have not adhered to that which you should adhere to, then you are one of those who are detested and rejected by God. In adhering to these practices, you should be earnest and sincere. You should not treat them like shackles, but adhere to them as commandments. Today, you ought not to concern yourself with what effects are to be achieved; in short, this is how the Holy Spirit works, and whoever commits offense must die. The Holy Spirit is without emotion, and heedless of your present understanding. If you offend Him today, then He will punish you. If you offend Him within the scope of His jurisdiction, then He will not spare you. He does not care how serious you are in your adherence to the words of Jesus. If you violate God’s commandments of today, He will punish you; He will condemn you to death. How could it be acceptable for you to not adhere to them? You must adhere—even if it means suffering a little pain! No matter what religion, sector, nation, or denomination it is, in the future they must all adhere to these practices. None are exempt, and none will be spared! For they are what the Holy Spirit will do today, and they are unoffendable to all. Although they are no great thing, they must be done by every person, and are the commandments set for man by Jesus, who was resurrected and ascended to heaven. Does “The Path … (7)” not say that Jesus’ definition of whether you are righteous or sinful is according to your attitude toward God today? No one must overlook this point. In the Old Testament, generation after generation of the Pharisees believed in God, but with the arrival of the Age of Grace they did not know Jesus, and opposed Him. So it was that all they did came to nothing, and was in vain, and God did not accept it. If you can see through to this, then you will not easily sin. Many people, perhaps, have measured themselves against God. How does it taste to oppose God, is it bitter or sweet? You should understand this—do not pretend that you don’t know. In their hearts, perhaps, some people remain unconvinced. Yet I advise you to try it and see—see what it tastes like. This will prevent many people from being suspicious about it. Many people read the words of God yet secretly oppose Him in their hearts. After opposing Him like this, do you not feel like a knife has been twisted in your heart? If it is not family disharmony, it is physical discomfort, or the afflictions of sons and daughters. Although your flesh is spared death, the hand of God will never leave you. Do you think it could be that simple? In particular, it is even more necessary for the many who are near to God to focus on this. As time goes on, you will forget it, and, without realizing it, you will be plunged into temptation, you will become heedless of everything, and this will be the start of your sinning. Does this seem trivial to you? If you can do this well, then you have the chance to be made perfect—to receive the guidance from God’s own mouth before God. If you are careless, it will be trouble for you—you will be defiant of God, your words and actions will be dissolute, and sooner or later you will be carried away by great gales and mighty waves. Every one of you should take note of these commandments. If you violate them, the man who is testified to by God may not condemn you, but the Spirit of God is not finished with you, He will not spare you. Do you think you have what it takes to commit offense? Thus, no matter what God says, you must put His words into practice, and must adhere to them by any means you can. This is no simple matter!

【150-A-2】

God says, “In each age, God specifies many rules that are akin to the laws and are to be adhered to by man. Through this, He constrains man’s disposition, and detects his sincerity. Take the words ‘Honor your father and your mother’ of the Old Testament age, for example. These words do not apply today….” “In each age, God specifies many rules that are akin to the laws and are to be adhered to by man.” This statement is very clear that God has also specified many laws and commandments in the Age of Law for man to adhere to. What outcomes did God set out to achieve when He specified the commandments and laws in the Age of Law for man to adhere to? Is it easy to understand the statement, “Through this, He constrains man’s disposition, and detects his sincerity”? Some ask if the statement “Through this, He constrains man’s disposition, and detects his sincerity” has any relation to the entry into life and changes in dispositions. There is indeed no relation. Why would God specify the laws and commandments for men to adhere to if there is no relation? What is the significance in it? What is God’s will in it? Is this something that man should understand? Why must man’s disposition be constrained and his sincerity detected? Can man’s disposition be constrained and his sincerity detected without these rules or commandments? No, they cannot. How is man’s sincerity detected then? It is done through adherence to the commandments. You could also say that his sincerity is revealed through his adherence to the rules. What sort of person is a man who does not adhere to the commandments, who always fails to do so or who simply gives up doing so? An insincere one, isn’t he? What is he if not sincere then? He is hypocritical, a fraud. He is a non-believer, someone who does not love the truth. Man is revealed by his adherence to the commandments. A person who truly believes in God and obeys God’s work regards the commandments in the same way as practicing the truth. He would adhere to the rules even if he did not understand the truth. Such is a person who truly believes in God, and this is man’s sincerity. When his sincerity in his sincere belief in God, adherence to the commandments, practice of the truth and listening to God’s word is shown evidently, he is a person who truly believes in God. How does God treat a person who truly believes in God? The Holy Spirit would enlighten and illuminate him as well as work in and lead him. Such a person would go gradually onto the right track of belief in God to be perfected by Him. A person who does not truly believe in God would not even obey the commandments. Would such a person have even a little intention of truly believing in God? He does not even have the sincerity to believe in God. It goes without saying, then, that he wouldn’t have a heart that fears and reveres God. A heart that fears and reveres God is something that only a person who truly believes in God would possess. You can say that a person who does not truly believe in God does not have a heart that fears and reveres God at all. The belief of such a person in God is fake and he does not believe sincerely because he does not love the truth. Hence, such a person would also be revealed, and he becomes the object of God’s elimination after he is revealed. Some people did not obey the laws and the commandments in the Age of Law, and so what happened to them? Were they not convicted and put to death by the law? How about in the Age of Grace then? What would happen to those who do not obey the commandments proclaimed by the Lord Jesus? The Holy Spirit will not work in them and they do not get to enjoy the presence of God with them. Isn’t that so? Some people get to enjoy some of God’s grace at the most when they pray to Him, but they do not have the Holy Spirit working in them. Is this not the case with the churches in the Age of Grace? Is obeying the commandments well, or abiding by the rules well in today’s terms, a way to discover a person’s sincerity? By what means is a person’s sincerity discovered? It is done by “constraining man’s disposition.” Once man’s disposition is constrained, some people would obey, accept and practice the commandments. As a result, such a person manages to obey some of the commandments as well as receive the work of the Holy Spirit and God’s blessings. A person whose disposition is not constrained through obeying the commandments is not constrained at all. He is unbridled, arrogant and proud. He does what he wants and as he pleases. All of these qualities in him are revealed. He is not sincere in his belief in God and is a non-believer. He makes use of opportunities to receive blessings and believes in God only to fill his stomach with manna. Such a person would neither be able to receive the work of the Holy Spirit nor enjoy the presence of God with him. When such a person is dead, it would be useless even if a crucifix is placed on his tomb. He would still be in hell. Isn’t that the case?

All of God’s work is meaningful, and the commandments that He proclaims at various stages of His work for man to obey are also meaningful. All that God does is meaningful, and His wisdom is contained in His work. Do you understand now? There are also some commandments in the Age of Grace, and other commandments are proclaimed again in the Age of Kingdom. Some say, “Christ of the last days has proclaimed all truths that cleanse and save man in the Age of Kingdom. Wouldn’t it have been sufficient if God proclaimed the truth directly to allow us, His chosen ones, to experience, practice and enter? Why does He have to proclaim commandments for the new age?” Is there mystery in this? The meaning in God’s proclamation of the commandments in every age as well as His intentions has always been the same. The statement that we have communicated earlier that, “Through this, He constrains man’s disposition, and detects his sincerity” means just that. Some people accept the commandments for the new age and put in effort in obeying them. They pray to and obey God no matter how many times they fail, and they let God discipline and punish them in whatever ways He deems fit. What is the result? They are enlightened and illuminated by the Holy Spirit and gained knowledge about God’s disposition, thereby developing a heart that fears and reveres God. Is this not receiving God’s blessings? Such a result is indeed so. It is the evidence of having received God’s blessings! Those who do not obey the commandments would always offend the disposition of God before Him, incurring His anger and wrath as a result, making God hate them with a passion. Are there such people around? Yes, there are. Some who have come in touch with God have indeed had a taste of this. They did not obey the commandments and offended the disposition of God all the time, and God regarded them with hate and disgust. God said, “I will not see this person. He disgusts Me. He would never be able to receive the truth even if he believed for eight lifetimes.” Some people displayed a particular air of arrogance in their dispositions when they come in touch with God. God said, “This person has no humanity at all. He will not be saved. His belief is in vain.” For some people, God curses him behind his back, “This one is really the devil and deserves death!” There are many of such cases, not just one or two of them. What do they show then? It shows that man must obey the commandments proclaimed by God. It does not matter if you regard them as rules or commandments. Your adherence to them proves that you believe in and obey God sincerely. You are finished, if you do not obey them and remain unbridled and unconstrained before God and even resist and complain against Him. You have a death wish, and you are the devil revealed. Do you understand now? Why has God’s family expelled at least 300,000 people in all these years? The total comes up to 500,000 if you add those who were purged! Is this a small figure? This is nearly one-tenth of the total number of people in the church, which is that the number of people being expelled and purged since the beginning till now being nearly one-tenth, at least one-fifteenth of the total number of people in the Church of Almighty God. This means that one in about a dozen people have been expelled and purged. How were those expelled and purged revealed? They were revealed because they did not obey God’s commandments and did as they please and behaved arrogantly before Him, having regards for nothing and nobody. They did not fear, revere and submit to God at all, and they even resisted and judged Him, and they were thus expelled and purged. Some have been determined to be antichrists and some as evil people while some as non-believers. They were all expelled and purged.

Some say, “Is God not mercy and compassion? God’s disposition is centered on righteousness, but He also has mercy and compassion. And since He is so and these people believe in God, why have they still been expelled?” How do I explain about this issue? God’s mercy and compassion have principles. They have a bottom line, and they have a boundary and time limit. Isn’t that right? What does God’s mercy and compassion having principles refer to? It refers to the fact that God has mercy on the person who truly believes in Him and loves the truth who has transgressions, and He forgives and accommodates this person. This is the principle of God’s mercy and compassion in the Age of Kingdom. There are boundaries, which is that God’s mercy and compassion are targeted at those who sincerely believe in God and love the truth. God does not have mercy on evil people. This is called a boundary. It has a time limit, which is that the disposition that God manifests in the Age of Grace is mainly that of mercy and compassion. In the Age of Kingdom, God’s disposition is mainly that of righteousness with mercy and compassion being secondary. This is the limit of time. In addition, God’s mercy and compassion have a bottom line, and His mercy and compassion would be gone if you crossed the line. God’s mercy and compassion for you would be gone if you offended Him time and again. This is called a bottom line. People in the Age of Grace have no knowledge about God’s mercy and compassion, and they believed that God is mercy and compassion. He would save the devil and does not even curse. The entire humanity would ultimately be saved by God. No matter how corrupted man is, or what evil they had done or how they had resisted God, they would be saved in the end. Is this not the perspective of the religious world? Is the perspective of the religious world based on the word of God? Is it based on the Bible? No. But its perspective cannot stand, proving that it does not know the disposition of God. What is the result of not knowing the disposition of God? The result is that man offends the disposition of God and misunderstands Him too easily. He judges and resists God too easily! Those in the religious world who resist and condemn Almighty God are the antichrists in our terms. To the religious world, however, they are not seen to be antichrists. They believe that it is merely a transgression if the resistance was in error. Everything will be fine once we pray to God, confess and repent. God will continue to show His mercy and compassion, and He will still save us and bring us into the kingdom of heaven. Is this idea established? Is it based on the Bible? Is it based on the word of God? No, absolutely not. People in the religious world worship the Bible the most and are most superstitious about it, but they cannot see that their conceptions, knowledge and ideas do not conform to the Bible. This is foolishness and ignorance. God put it this way in the Age of Law, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hos 4:6). The foolishness and ignorance of the people in the religious world is too severe. How bad is their foolishness and ignorance? They constrain God within the rules, within mercy and compassion, in a Bible verse and in the Bible time and again. What does their constraining show? It shows that they do not know God! They would not have done so if they had even a little knowledge of God. What is the nature of constraining God? It is not a simple matter of misunderstanding God. It is resisting and judging God, and in a more serious case, it is condemning Him!

【150-A-3】

Let us continue. God says, “Take the words ‘Honor your father and your mother’ of the Old Testament age, for example. These words do not apply today….” Some say, “Why not? It is such a great thing to honor your parents. The entire humanity acknowledges that it is right to honor one’s parents, and that it is even the truth. Why does it not apply now?” Can anyone see the mystery in this? Why does the family of God not preach about honoring one’s parents? Is honoring one’s parents the truth? It is not. The honoring of one’s parents is a commandment in the Age of Law, and it has become a rule in present times. It should be abolished as it is no longer practical. Why is it not practical? Let us put it simply. Can you receive the truth if you practice honoring your parents? Can you receive salvation if you do that? Are you counted as having normal humanity if you do that? Are you counted as having lived out the likeness of a real man if you do that? Are you counted as having lived out the true meaning of life if you do that? You do not achieve these results. So is honoring your parents the truth? No, it isn’t. This is purely a rule, and abiding by it is meaningless. Which is more meaningful, honoring your parents or obeying God’s commandments in the new age? Obeying God’s commandments in the new age is the most meaningful. Doing so protects you and prevents you from resisting God. Doing so lets you receive God’ blessings and allows Him to discover your sincerity in obeying and believing in Him. Doing so lets you receive enlightenment, illumination and the work of the Holy Spirit. Doing so lets you receive God’s commendation. You can say that obeying God’s commandments in the new age has the same meaning as practicing the truth. Do you understand now? Honoring your parents has no relation to man’s entry into life. It does not explain anything. You would be honored among the unbelievers at the most, “This person is rather filial toward his parents. Looks like he is a good man.” That is all. That is considered the highest praise for a person, isn’t it? In addition, this is nothing in God’s eyes, useless and without value. Some people abide by the honoring of their parents quite well but do not obey God’s commandments in the new age at all. What is the result of this? They do not receive God’s commendation. He would even be cursed by God if he offends Him. Isn’t this a fact? It is. If God loathes a person, this person would surely die. In the Age of Law, God proclaimed His laws and commandments through Moses, and the two hundred and fifty leaders did not submit. What is the result of that? They were cursed by God. God handed them over to Moses, and he destroyed them and banished them to hell with but a sentence. Isn’t this a fact? Did they not come to this end because of God’s loathing? God’s loathing was due to the fact that they judged the man He used. The consequences would be dire as well if you judge the man God uses. The consequences would be equally dire even though it is a little different from judging God.

God says, “‘Honor your father and your mother’ … do not apply today….” Do you understand now why they do not apply today? It is because it is no longer meaningful to practice and obey them. It has nothing to do with man’s entry into life and the change in man’s disposition. There is no relation at all. In that case, it is a rule in today’s terms and obeying it is no longer necessary. You see, the Sabbath day was kept in the Age of Law and no work could be done on that day. Is this being kept today? They had a venue for worshiping God, and all of them had to go to the temple. Is this still being abided by today? The practices in the Age of Law, including sacrificial offerings, have all been abolished. All rituals have been abolished when the Lord Jesus became the sacrificial offering for us once and for all. The Lord Jesus’ atonement has accomplished everything. Therefore, don’t you think that it is practical that the many commandments in the Age of Law and the Age of Grace have become rules today and are no longer applicable? This is the actual situation now, the exact situation. Those practices are no longer applicable and are meaningless. God’s work progresses deeper and develops forward step by step instead of going backward, and neither does it stop in its tracks. The believers in the Age of Grace who are of good quality accepted God’s work of the last days, and those of poor quality abided by the rules and did not accept God’s work and word in the present times. Those people were then eliminated. Take a look at the Israelites. They did not even accept God’s work in the Age of Grace and have been eliminated by Him long ago. The Holy Spirit stopped His work among them. God has been incarnated in the flesh in the last days and carried out the work of judgment and chastisement in the Age of Kingdom, but the people in the Age of Grace did not accept it. They, too, have been eliminated. Some asked if they would really not be saved even when they believed in the Lord. They would not. How could they be saved when they have been eliminated? They belong to religious faith once they have been eliminated. Theirs is not faith in God. There are many types of religious faith, such as Judaism, Christianity, Catholicism, Islam and Buddhism. These are religious faiths. God regards the faith of these people collectively as religious faith and does not acknowledge them to be faith in God. Do you understand now? The religious world shall return to God in varying degrees after the great disaster has befallen, but that refers to the person who returns to Almighty God. He is saved when he exits the religious world to return to Almighty God. If he doesn’t do so, he will be destroyed. Where has the disaster in the religious world gone up to? To what extent? The knife is now on its neck, and a disaster shall befall soon. If they still do not accept once it does, their destruction shall befall. And so, they only have a ray of hope of survival.

Let us continue to look at God’s word. “Although now is the Age of Kingdom, there are still many rules that man must adhere to. The rules of the past don’t apply; today, there are many, more fitting practices for man to carry out, and which are necessary. They do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit and must be done by man.” This passage of God’s word is critical, and how should we understand it? God has proclaimed all truths in the cleansing and salvation of humanity in the Age of Kingdom. God says here that, “Today, there are many, more fitting practices for man to carry out, and which are necessary. They do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit and must be done by man.” What is the meaning of this statement? It refers to commandments that people in the Age of Kingdom must obey. The commandments that people in the Age of Kingdom must obey are mainly those in the new age, along with ten administrative decrees as well as another administrative decrees that God has mentioned elsewhere. These are the commandments that the people in the Age of Kingdom must obey. They do not need to obey the commandments of the past. The commandments, administrative decrees and commands that God has proclaimed today must be obeyed, and they do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit. What does “They do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit” mean? It means that you do not need to care what the Holy Spirit does; you only need to obey. You need not care if the Holy Spirit enlightens you or whether He guides you in obeying these commandments. The Holy Spirit does not do all these. These are what man should obey. Some say, “No way. I won’t be able to obey if the Holy Spirit does not enlighten and illuminate me. I won’t be able to understand if the Holy Spirit does not enlighten and illuminate me. I won’t be able to obey the commandments if the Holy Spirit does not guide me or give me strength.” What kind of people say these things? The imbeciles, the ridiculous, the useless and the cowards. God says here that, “They do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit and must be done by man.” It means that the obeying of commandments does not involve the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does not do this work. What does the Holy Spirit do then? The Holy Spirit enlightens and illuminates man to understand God’s word, the truth and God’s will as well as know His disposition. These involve the work of the Holy Spirit, not the obeying of commandments. Why not? How would the Holy Spirit reveal man once He starts working? The key is in this statement. How would man be revealed if the work of the Holy Spirit is involved? For instance, in the church, a place where we worship God, a pile of cash is put on a table and nobody is saying who the money is for. The Holy Spirit offers no enlightenment as to whether anyone can take the money. When some people see the money, they go, “Oh, money! This is money!” Some ponder, “Should I take the money? Are there any rules? There is nothing written here and nothing to say whether we should take the money. There is nothing here that says what money this is and that it should not be taken. Nothing at all.” There are no rules and nothing said, just a pile of money placed there. Don’t you think this is revealing of man? Those with humanity would know that, “Oh, there is so much money here, but it doesn’t belong to us. We better not touch it. Touching the money that belongs to others constitutes theft. I cannot touch it.” Does everybody think this way? Some people don’t, “Ah, is this money for me? Placing money in the church is obviously to give to those who believe in God. I am a believer, and so I have a share of the money as well. I have to take it.” The person takes a few notes and says, “No. Wouldn’t I lose out if somebody else takes more than I did? I must take more!” He takes a few more notes. Does this not reveal man? If a note was left on the pile of money saying, “The Holy Spirit says nobody is to touch the money!” would that be good? It is not. Why not? That cannot reveal man. This is thus what it means that the keeping of the commandments does not involve the work of the Holy Spirit. It is for the sake of revealing man! You can receive God’s salvation if you keep the commandments and be commended by Him. You will not pursue the truth if you do not keep the commandments because you do not treasure your relationship with God. You do not regard your relationship with God as important, and so you do not keep the commandments. Is that not the case? Some things do not involve the work of the Holy Spirit, and man is revealed all the more because this is so. Man cannot be revealed if the work of the Holy Spirit is involved, isn’t that so?

Let’s continue to look at the second passage of God’s word, “In the Age of Grace, many of the practices of the Age of Law were discarded because these laws were not particularly effective for the work at that time.” Why were many of the practices of the Age of Law discarded in the Age of Grace? What is the reason for discarding the laws? It is because such laws were not particularly effective for the new work at that time. It would not be particularly meaningful to keep them, and they would even affect the progress of the new work, thus becoming a burden. Do you understand now? Let me give you an example. Autumn arrives after summer has ended, and so what do we do with the clothes we wear in summer during autumn? We keep them away. What would happen if we continue to wear them? We would not be warm, and so it is useless for us to wear them. They would become your burden if you wear them on the inside and so you take them off quickly and wait till the next summer before putting them on again. Isn’t it so? The same goes for the work of God. Some of the practices in the Age of Law are no longer applicable in the Age of Grace, and there is no point keeping them. They would even become a burden, and neither would God commend these practices. What can you see from the Lord Jesus’ attitude toward those who keep the laws? He condemns and disdains and rejects them. The Lord Jesus said that new wine should be stored in new wineskin and not in an old one. He disdains and rejects those who keep to the old ways. The God of today would disdain and reject you if you continue to keep to the ideas of the Age of Grace in the Age of Kingdom. Therefore, some people always compare God’s work at this stage with the Bible, and what is His attitude toward them? Disdain and rejection. You keep on comparing God’s work today with the Bible to see if the work today conforms to the Bible, “I cannot believe if the work does not conform to the Bible. I can only believe if it conforms to the Bible.” God will not enlighten you if you did not pray and seek the truth. God only has disdain and rejection and loathing for such people. What does the disdain and rejection and loathing include? That you should be eliminated, and you deserve it. Such a meaning is included in disdain and rejection. Do you understand now?

【150-A-4】

God says, “When the God of today came, these rules were dispensed with, and no longer needed to be adhered to, and there were set out many practices suitable for the work of today. Today, these practices are not rules, but in order to achieve an effect; they are suitable for today—and tomorrow, perhaps, they will become rules.” What this statement says is that in every age, God formulates practices applicable to that time for man to abide by, but such practices are temporary and pertains only to an age. God will abolish such practices once that age is over. What do these practices refer to? They refer to the laws, commandments and rules. The truth will never expire, for example love for God, loving others as yourself. Such things do not expire. These are the greatest commandments. Obeying and worshiping God will never expire as well, and neither will the truth. The laws, commandments and rules are usually only applicable to that age and are not meant to be abided by man for all of eternity. The only thing to be kept for all of eternity is the truth.

God goes on to say, “In sum, you should adhere to that which is fruitful for the work of today. Pay no heed to tomorrow: What is done today is for the sake of today. Maybe tomorrow there will be better practices which you will be required to carry out—but do not pay too much attention to that, adhere to that which should be adhered to today so as to avoid opposing God.” Another issue is involved here. If you do not adhere to what God wants you to adhere to, the consequence is that you are opposing God. Why is it opposing God if we do not adhere to what God wants us to adhere to? God’s beautiful intention is contained herein. What is the issue involved in the things we have to adhere to that God formulates in every age? Be it the laws or the commandments or other things that we have to adhere to that God formulates in every age, what is their formulation based on? Is this not something that man should ponder? We should ponder over God’s word this way. You won’t be able to understand God’s word if you are not able to ponder this way. This is the simplest method to ponder God’s word. Ponder over this now, “adhere to that which should be adhered to today so as to avoid opposing God.” What are some of the meanings contained within this statement? How is “that which should be adhered to today” related to opposing God? Such a requirement from God shows that whether such a practice formulated by God is related to man’s opposition of Him, and it proves that such a practice is critical. Adherence is not optional. You will have a problem if you do not adhere. This is a foundation that God has laid and a bottom line that He has determined for people who believe in Him. You must first adhere to that which you need to adhere to however you do it before you pursue the truth and enter into the reality of the truth. We have a bottom line for our conduct, and have a bottom line for our belief in God. You would breach the bottom line for your belief in God if you do not adhere to that which you need to adhere to, and this offends the disposition of God! You are not human in God’s eyes, and you do not truly believe in God. You are a non-believer, and you dare to oppose God as you will. How preposterous! This is a problem. All the commandments in the Age of Kingdom are critical and important, but what are the most important ones among them? One is submitting to God’s work today, and we must not judge His work. The other is submitting to the man that God testifies to and uses. These two commandments are key, the fundamentals. You must submit absolutely to Christ. You must listen to His words as well as experience and practice them, and you must not judge the work of Christ. In addition, you must not oppose the man that God testifies to. The bottom line is not to do things of obviously opposing the man that God testifies to. If you violate that and breach the bottom line, you would be in trouble. What kind of trouble? You would have offended the disposition of God, and you would be cursed and eliminated. What is the basis for the commandments that man must adhere to today then? It is for the protection of God’s chosen people. Do not breach this bottom line. It is God’s intention to proclaim these practices as the administrative decrees in the Age of Kingdom for God’s people to adhere to. Do you understand now?

I shall communicate these commandments in detail below. “Today, nothing is more crucial for man to adhere to than the following: You must not deceive or conceal anything from the God that stands before your eyes. It should be remembered by all.” These are the ten commandments, and the first paragraph is the seven commandments, and so there are seventeen commandments in all. The seventeen commandments in the Age of Kingdom are proclaimed in this passage of God’s word. Why does God want to proclaim these seventeen commandments? We need to understand God’s intention. How do we do that? We should first ponder this way: What effects do we achieve if we adhere to these commandments? What are the benefits to us? Won’t you make some headway if you ponder it this way? What do people see at least if you adhere to these commandments? That you truly believe in God and that you really regard Christ as God. Is such a fact thus proven? Is this not a testimony? It is. It is a testimony that man should bear. If you were not able to adhere to these commandments, would others be able to see that you truly believe in God? Would others be able to see that you really regard God, the God who is incarnated in the flesh, as God? You would not be able to achieve such an effect. Such a person is being revealed. Whether a person is able to adhere to the commandments reveals whether he is sincere in his belief in God. Some people accept God with doubts in his heart. He is not sure if God is real. He is particularly arrogant and has no rationality at all. He rebuts and questions when he has conceptions about God’s word. He would judge or even condemn when there are areas in the work of God’s family that do not conform to his conceptions and imagining. What kind of person is this? This is an evil person who has infiltrated the house of God. He does not truly believe in God. This antichrist, the devil, has shown itself in the church. He is here to disrupt the work of God’s family. He is a lackey of Satan. How is such a person revealed? He is revealed because he does not adhere to the commandments at all. He is revealed by the commandments proclaimed by God. Is that not the case? Once he has been revealed, the family of God must make work arrangements to purge and expel these people who have been determined as the antichrists, the evil ones and the non-believers. This would protect the work of God’s family and allows His chosen ones to submit truly to as well as experience and practice the work of the practical God. Are these effects achieved by the commandments proclaimed by God? Of course, there are many other truths, but the meaning of the commandments is evident in that it reveals man! When you look at whether a person truly believes in God, he will be revealed when you see whether he adheres to the commandments. The expressions and ideas mentioned by the commandments reveal man.

I shall communicate the first commandment as follows, “You must not deceive or conceal anything from the God that stands before your eyes.” It says here, “… the God that stands before your eyes.” What does this mean? God has come to work among man, and He stands before everybody and speaks, doing His work. What kind of attitude should you adopt when God stands before everybody for you to know Him? You have only to submit with a heart of fear and reverence. This is right. “You must not deceive or conceal anything from the God that stands before your eyes.” Deceiving is to lie and cheat, and coaxing carries the same meaning in the way that you coax a child. Concealing means to not be open simply and not submitting everything to God. Concealing from God means to do fraudulent things and telling lies to conceal from and deceive God. If a person always conceals from and deceives before God, is he sincere toward Him? Is he submissive to God and does he have fear and reverence for Him? No, he doesn’t. “The God that stands before your eyes” means that God works and speaks among man, and He has come to you. You should prostrate yourself! If you say, “God stands before my eyes. I should also stand up and be shoulder-to-shoulder with Him”, you are opposing God. Why do you not prostrate yourself? Why do you not prostrate yourself before God when He stands before you? Why do you not submit? This is the problem. This reveals man. Therefore the Holy Spirit is there examining this matter. All the work of the Holy Spirit is for the protection of the word and work of God who is incarnated in the flesh. He inspects the attitude, mindset and purpose of a person before God. God searches the heart of man and sees these things clearly. He then decides how to deal with and treat you based on your attitude toward Him. Thus, you must not deceive and conceal from God. This is the first commandment.

What is the second commandment? “You shall not utter filthiness or arrogant talk in front of the God before you.” “Words of filthiness” means words that are dirty and filthy while “arrogant talk” means arrogant and irrational words. Do you know what “filthiness or arrogant talk” means now? Do not ever utter these words. What should you say then? You must open your heart to speak what is true and what is in your heart. Do not utter filthiness or arrogant talk at the very least. Do not speak words that are filthy and irrational. Do you understand now?

【150-A-5】

The third commandment states, “You shall not deceive the God before your eyes by good words and fair speeches in order to gain His trust.” It is not right to use good words and fair speeches before God. Before powerful people, corrupt human beings frequently utilize good words and fair speeches to gain their trust. This is especially the case with leaders, superiors and people with power and prestige. They all use this tactic of good words and fair speeches. Isn’t this the case? Which kind of people in this world use good words and fair speeches the most, have the most expertise with it, and use it most disgustingly to the point that other people feel sickened and start to have goosebumps? These people are the government officials of the great red dragon. Many people have heard them speak. Now, what manifestations are there of gaining God’s trust through good words and fair speeches? For example, someone said, “God! You do not know how much I love You!” What do you think about these words? They are very pretentious. These words cause people to have goosebumps once they hear them. “God! God! You do not know how much I love You!” “God! I truly love You!” This is an example of good words and fair speeches. There are some people who, when they eat, they take a piece of good meat, put it in their mouths and their cheeks swell as they chew it. After they finish chewing, they say, “I eat this for God. Otherwise, God does not know whether this meat is good to eat. I will try it first for God.” Isn’t this deceptive? When they see their brothers and sisters buy something for God, they say, “I will use it first. After I finish using it, I will know if it is good or not. If it is good, I will give it to God. If it is not good, then I guess I can keep it. Wouldn’t you say that I love God? This is how much I love God! There was one time that I tried some meat for God. I ended up vomiting and having diarrhea. My love for God has caused me to suffer a lot! God, do You know this?” Isn’t this an example of deceiving God with one’s eyes wide open? They use the things that other people have bought for God. Yet, they still say, “This was bought for the leaders of the church. This is to be donated to the church, not to God.” Even though they have already stolen this thing, and they let others use it, they still say that it is to be donated to the church. They still find some specious arguments in favor of themselves. I say, “These sacrifices that God’s chosen people have given to God, are they for God or are they for the church?” They reply, “They are for the church.” My response is, “Is it written that these things were for the church when God’s chosen people gave them to God? Has this been written?” They do not utter a word. What is the meaning of “giving to the church”? Is giving to the church equivalent to giving to one of the leaders? God’s chosen people do not understand the truth. As a result, at the time they donate, they say, “This is a donation for the church.” It is for the church, not for you, the leader. You, as a leader, enjoy the benefit of the sacrifices that God’s chosen people have given to God. You find an excuse and say that these things are donated to the church and that they are not donated to God. What kind of problem is this? Isn’t this an example of good words and fair speeches? Isn’t this Satan’s sophistry? Isn’t this kind of person an antichrist? This is an antichrist! You steal the sacrifices of God and make specious arguments justifying your actions. Are your actions actually justified? This is an antichrist. Some churches have discovered the existence of this kind of situation. God’s family has removed this kind of leaders. God’s family does not need you! Get out of here, we will never have you again! You do not have humanity and you are lacking in moral sense! Using good words and fair speeches to gain God’s trust is clearly a demonic and satanic course of action! Right? One aspect of good words and fair speeches is that you are saying words of praise and flattery to God. You say that you are so and so toward God. Another aspect is that you are resisting God and offending God’s disposition. You defend yourself with good words and fair speeches. Both of these aspects exist. Understood? What is the goal that they want to achieve with their specious arguments? They want to gain God’s trust. Regardless of what they say, it is all to gain God’s trust with their words.

The fourth commandment states, “You shall not act irreverently before God. You shall obey all that is spoken from the mouth of God, and shall not resist, oppose, or dispute His words.” What is the meaning of “acting irreverently”? It mainly refers to this disposition, being defiant and unrestrained, acting irreverently, always wanting to instruct God, revealing yourself before God or revealing yourself as very great or capable. This is what acting irreverently refers to. This describes a kind of attitude, action and arrogant disposition that people have. “You shall obey all that is spoken from the mouth of God, and shall not resist, oppose, or dispute His words.” In regards to the words that are spoken from God’s mouth, regardless of what you may think, whether you understand them or whether you have notions, what are man’s duties? All you should do is obey. Do not resist, oppose or dispute. “And shall not resist, oppose, or dispute His words.” What kind of attitude is resisting, opposing and disputing? He does not acknowledge God’s words as the truth and he does not obey God’s words. That is why he opposes, resists and disputes. He talks about his own reasoning, his own basis and why he does things the way he does. What kind of disposition does this kind of person have? An arrogant and conceited one, he does not have obedience. Isn’t this a satanic demon? This kind of disposition and course of action, within God’s family, which type of person manifests this most prominently? Antichrists and evil people manifest this most prominently. “You shall obey all that is spoken from the mouth of God, and shall not resist, oppose, or dispute His words.” What is the meaning of this? Why did God make this kind of demand? It is because everything that God says is the truth. It is something that man has never heard before. Moreover, it is something that is not easy for man to understand and it is something that he does not possess at all. That is why, before God’s words, it is easy for man to become wanton, resistive and oppositional. It is easy for man to have his own notions and it is even easy for him to resist and convict. It is very easy! For example, the words that Jesus said, the Jewish chief priests and scribes would not listen to them. They dared to dispute, oppose, resist and convict. During the Age of Grace, didn’t all of what the leaders of Judaism and the Pharisees manifest confirm this point? The average Jewish believer certainly could not understand. They had their own notions and they would not obey. This was natural. It is easy for man to commit errors and openly resist and judge when it comes to this commandment. That is why God has announced this commandment for man to abide by during the Age of Kingdom. This is in accordance to man’s circumstance and greatest shortcoming. God has determined this commandment to address the circumstance and spiritual stature of man that makes it easy for him to offend God’s disposition. In this way, God protects His chosen people so as to avoid His chosen people from being ridiculed, found fault by Satan to attack God. Is there a meaning to God issuing commandments? It is very meaningful! It is definitely not a matter of indifference whether it is abided. It is meaningful. Therefore, the most crucial thing is, in regards to the things that God says, especially those things that you do not understand, comprehend, acknowledge or that are easy for you to have notions about, by all means guard your tongue, do not oppose, resist or dispute.

Here we will fellowship about the fifth commandment, “You shall not interpret, as you see fit, the words spoken from the mouth of God. You should guard your tongue to avoid it causing you to fall prey to the deceitful schemes of the wicked.” “You shall not interpret, as you see fit, the words spoken from the mouth of God.” What is this issue of interpreting the words of God as you see fit? You are being controlled by arrogant, self-conceited and self-righteous disposition, right? “Interpreting as you see fit,” as you see fit means according to your own meaning and it is not in accordance with the principles of the truth. If you do not interpret as you see fit, you are obeying the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, which is in accordance with God’s will. If you interpret as you see fit, it is guaranteed that it is not in accordance with God’s will. If you interpret as you see fit, it is guaranteed that it is not due to the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. If you interpret as you see fit, it is guaranteed that it is due to your own notions, imagination and thoughts. If you do things this way, it is easy for you to make a mistake. Take a look at the matter of communicating God’s word. Is it the same when I communicate God’s word as when you communicate God’s word? What is the difference? If you communicate these words of God, how will you say them? You explain the literal meaning and then you say however much you can accept. Or perhaps you give two simple examples and then you are done. Does this achieve results? No, it does not. Where is the will of God’s words? Why does God say these things? Why is it formulated like this? You must also talk about these aspects. You must let people understand and see that the commandments that God issues are meaningful, principled and that their purpose is to protect God’s chosen people from offending God’s disposition and to not let Satan ridicule them. This is very crucial. If you understand God’s will, you will be willing to abide by His commandments and you will be willing to be considerate of God’s will. As a result, you will be resolved: I must abide by God’s commandments otherwise I would not be worthy of being one of God’s people, one of Christ’s disciples or as someone who follows Christ. Interpreting God’s words as you see fit is a manifestation of arrogance and self-rightness. How can God’s words be interpreted as you see fit? Do you have experience? If you do not have experience, do not rely on your head, your inner quality or your petty cleverness to explain it. Your explanation is useless. If you truly have experience and you truly understand the truth, then communicate it. If you do not understand the truth and all you can do is explain it according to a literal meaning, do not speak. It is meaningless. What you understand is not much better than what others understand. If you can talk a bit about experience or you have truly been enlightened by the Holy Spirit and you contribute to other people, then this is great. This is greater than the normal thoughts of other people. This is greater than a literal acceptance. Is communicating God’s words a simple matter? Is interpreting God’s word as you see fit okay? We all say that it is not okay. In regards to God’s words, however much we accept, experience and acknowledge, that is how much we should talk about. There are some of God’s words that I do not have much experience or understanding of. If you let me communicate about it, I will not be clear. In this case, I will just say that I do not understand and that is that. Do not pretend or pose. “You should guard your tongue to avoid it causing you to fall prey to the deceitful schemes of the wicked.” What are the deceitful schemes of the wicked? Some people will incite you, “Hey, what is the meaning of these words? Can you communicate?” Once you communicate, they ridicule and sneer at you. They are playing with you. At that point, you would have fallen for their wicked schemes. Some people will ask, “How is this falling for their wicked schemes?” After you have finished communicating God’s words, they will continue to speak, “This is my understanding and at that time, this is what I did and because of that, God’s family has convicted me.” Look, notice how once he talks about this matter, you have fallen for his wicked scheme. He has taken these words and linked it to the matter. There is a context to it. He let you explain and after you have finished talking, he said, “We both have the same perspective.” This is how he lumps you together with him. The result is that you have also become a person that resists God. Isn’t this falling for the schemes of wicked people? This is one problem. There is another one. Once the situation arrives, it’s a temptation. When you try to explain it, your insufferably arrogant disposition is revealed. Satan, demons and evil spirits sneer and ridicule you. Haven’t you once again fallen for Satan’s schemes? If he says, “Fellowship about these words to me!” what should someone who is smart say? You ask him, “What is this? Why do you ask me to fellowship about these words? What kind of context do you have? Tell me.” That’s it for him. He will know that you see through him. He replies, “Two days ago, I experienced this. I do not understand. I encountered a situation that I could not see through. I do not know what to do.” Perhaps when he says this, it is true. So, you can speak about it, “My experience of this is shallow and I do not quite understand.” Afterward, you talk about some simple acceptance and it is over. No matter what, if someone compliments you, do not believe, “He has given me an opportunity. Great. He is a good judge of talent. He can see that I am great at giving sermons.” This is troublesome. You have just been duped, right? In an instance, your arrogance surfaces and is revealed. This is what it means to fall for the schemes of evil people.

【150-A-6】

The sixth commandment is, “You should guard your footsteps to avoid transgressing the boundaries set out for you by God. Doing so will cause you to speak conceited and pompous words from the perspective of God, and thus become loathed by God.” This verse is serious. Some people may not understand this verse clearly. It is quite deep. Here, it says, “You should guard your footsteps….” The last commandment says, “You should guard your tongue….” What is the relationship between guarding your footsteps and guarding your tongue? Is there a difference? This refers to two different situations. One situation refers to a warning regarding what you say so that you, “avoid it causing you to fall prey to the deceitful schemes of the wicked.” Making irresponsible remarks can lead to falling into schemes of evil ones. The other situation, “You should guard your footsteps to avoid transgressing the boundaries set out for you by God,” refers to how God has partitioned a boundary for each person. What does this boundary refer to? It means that the duties that you should fulfill have a certain scope. Additionally, your status and the point of view that you occupy both have boundaries. Isn’t this the case? For example, you are an ordinary member of God’s chosen people. You are not a leader nor a worker. Now, what is your boundary? It is the boundary of an ordinary member of God’s chosen people. If you are a leader, then you merely occupy the boundaries of a leader of this church. If you breach these boundaries and go to other churches or amongst unbelievers and try to be a leader, it is very troublesome and it will cause other people to ridicule you. Isn’t this what it means to have boundaries? This boundary is important. For example, you are a mother. What is the boundary of a mother? It is to take care of your children and husband and tidy up the house. This is a mother’s boundary. If you try to manage other people’s business, this would not be okay. Wouldn’t this be overstepping your boundaries as a mother? Isn’t it irrational to overstep one’s boundaries? Isn’t it unreasonable? What kind of disposition controls this irrationality? It is arrogant, conceited and unreasonable. Here, God says, “Doing so will cause you to speak conceited and pompous words from the perspective of God.” Once you overstep your boundaries, you will say arrogant and conceited things from the perspective of God. “From the perspective of God,” here, it does not refer to status. It refers to a perspective. It means that if you overstep your boundaries, the perspective you occupy would seem like the perspective of God to other people. Let me give you an example. What does this boundary of speaking refer to? One is the boundary of a creation. One is the boundary of the Creator, His status and His perspective. One is the third person, the perspective of the Holy Spirit’s work. Aren’t these three different perspectives? If you are a creation, you speak from the perspective of a creation. This is what it means to have sense. Is it appropriate for you to speak from the perspective of the Holy Spirit’s work? What about God’s perspective? Neither of them is appropriate. What would God say from His perspective? God says, “I.” He says things in the first person. This “I” refers to God Himself. When God says, “I command all things. I have created the heavens, the earth and all things.” This is God speaking from His perspective in the first person. Now what about the perspective of the Holy Spirit’s work? It is the perspective of the third person. He says, “God says this,” and “Man does that,” right? If man occupies the wrong perspective, sometimes, unconsciously, he will occupy the third-person perspective or the perspective of the Holy Spirit’s work. Even more serious is that man will occupy God’s perspective and speak. These are all matters where God’s disposition has been offended! Understand? Sometimes, when people preach, they make this mistake. They make a mistake of occupying the wrong perspective. Unconsciously, they may adopt the perspective of the Holy Spirit’s work or they may at some point in time adopt the perspective of God. Even though they do not call themselves “God” or say “I”, the perspective they adopt makes other people think that they have taken God’s perspective and that it is the attitude and wording of God speaking to man. This is what it means to occupy God’s perspective and speak. Isn’t this the case? That is why, here, God says, “… to avoid transgressing the boundaries set out for you by God. Doing so will cause you to speak conceited and pompous words from the perspective of God, and thus become loathed by God.” These are matters which cause people to be loathed by God. This is just one example. There are many examples of this. In God’s family, which kinds of people occupy God’s perspective and say arrogant things? False Christs, antichrists and sometimes false leaders. Why are these people loathed by God? They do not bear witness to God and they always speak from the perspective of God. As a result, God loathes them. Understood?

Shouldn’t each person reflect upon this matter of “transgressing one’s boundaries?” I am one of God’s chosen people. I fulfill one kind of duty, so I will speak a little more objectively and speak from man’s perspective. I am a worker or a leader. What duties should I fulfill? I am a preacher. What are my responsibilities? If I act as a host, what are my duties? Shouldn’t we all reflect a bit? Can someone say, “I fulfill hosting duties. I request that God’s chosen people should be in a well-behaved manner, sincerely eat and drink God’s word and obey God’s work in host families”? Is this appropriate? What is wrong with these words? The speaker has adopted God’s perspective and said things that lecture other people, right? When an antichrist says something, he says, “You are like this or that; I am like this or that.” As if he is not the same as our brothers and sisters, right? Do antichrists frequently say these things? Relatively sensible leaders and workers would say “we,” like “We frequently offend God. We frequently hurt God’s heart in a certain aspect. We are not considerate of God’s will. Our experience of God’s word is too shallow.” They group God’s chosen people and themselves into one group by always using “we.” If they say, “You are so and so,” then this is bad! They have occupied the wrong status and have transgressed the boundary. What are the consequences of transgressing one’s boundary? God’s chosen people feel uncomfortable with what they say, feel that they have occupied the wrong status and they should not say this. But they cannot explain it completely, nor do they see through the essence of it. They feel uncomfortable hearing them say these things. The average person who does not see through it feels this way. Those who can differentiate have a different understanding, “Oh no, this violates God’s commandments! He is saying things from God’s perspective. This is offending God. This is revealing Satan’s disposition!” Those that understand the truth can distinguish this, right?

The seventh commandment is as follows, “You shall not carelessly repeat the words spoken from the mouth of God, lest others mock you and the devils make a fool of you.” Is the attitude of carelessly repeating God’s words correct? We all say that it is incorrect. Is carelessly repeating God’s words bearing witness to God? It is not. What does it mean to bear witness to God? Bearing witness to God involves being conscious of communicating the truth, using God’s words and resolving people’s problems according to God’s words. If someone carelessly repeats God’s words following their own desires, don’t they have an irreverent attitude? If they carelessly repeat God’s words just the same as man’s words, with the same attitude and saying of commenting about other people behind their backs, this is basically irreverent, not treating God’s words as if God said them, but repeating these words as if some human said them. Is this kind of person devout? They are not devout. If they carelessly repeat God’s words in order to achieve a goal that they cannot tell other people and it causes people to judge God and have notions and misunderstandings about God, then this action is even more serious. This is inciting people to resist God! This is spreading notions about God and intentionally causing others to have misunderstandings about God. This is even more serious! With such intentions in their words, which kind of people in God’s family is most obvious? Antichrists, false leaders and especially evil people and antichrists. They intentionally cause others to have their own notions and judgments. They laugh out loud on the side, thinking, “I’ve achieved my goals through you.” This is a sinister, treacherous and despicable person. God searches the bottom of people’s hearts. God sees through this kind of people. The Holy Spirit leaves them and God will reveal and eliminate them. Is carelessly repeating God’s words serious? It is very serious. If God does not issue this commandment, how many people would violate this rule and be condemned due to these words? This is very dangerous. Since everyone has Satan’s disposition, it is very easy to do this sort of thing. Understood? “Lest others mock you and the devils make a fool of you.” If the devils make a fool of you, it is over for you. God has basically handed you over to Satan at that point.

The eighth commandment states, “You shall obey all of the work of the God of today. Even if you do not understand it, you shall not pass judgment on it; all you can do is seek and fellowship.” This is for all of God’s chosen people: You must obey all of God’s work. It will not do if you only obey that part that is in accordance with man’s notions! Why will it not do? If you do that, you will not be able to be saved or be perfected. You will not be able to be made complete by God! That part of God’s work that is not in accordance with man’s notions is the most capable of perfecting man. It is the part that man needs most to possess and understand. Within contains the most crucial truth. It is also the deepest truth that resolves man’s corrupt disposition. What does “You shall obey all of the work of the God of today” refer to? It means that man must obey all of God’s words and all of the things that He does. This is the meaning of obeying all of the work of God. For example, if God personally curses one particular person, you must obey. It will not do if you have notions, “I think that person is actually quite good. He truly believes in God and he has abandoned and spent!” If God curses him, he is an antichrist and you must obey. Even if it is not in accordance with your notions, you must still obey. If God’s family expels your mother and your father, should you obey? If God’s family expels your wife or husband, should you obey? You should obey. God’s work also encompasses the decisions of important things of the Holy Spirit’s work. This is also within the scope of God’s work. For example, is it okay if you do not obey what work arrangements stipulate? It is not okay to not obey. Someone said, “Right now, I do not have notions about God. I have notions about the man that the Holy Spirit uses. That is why it is enough for me to just eat and drink God’s words. Whether I listen to the sermons and work arrangements of the man that the Holy Spirit uses is not important.” What kind of problem is this? Is this obeying all the work of God? It is not. Someone said, “Is this also included within God’s work?” In all of what God bears witness to, aside from obeying God’s words and work, all the arrangements of the man that the Holy Spirit uses must be obeyed. Right? Someone also said, “Why must I also obey the work arrangements of God’s family and the sermons and fellowship of the man that the Holy Spirit uses?” This is also part of the work of the Holy Spirit. All the work of the Holy Spirit belongs to God’s work. Do I have a basis for saying this? I do. Other people said, “I only obey all of God’s words. I do not obey the sermons, fellowship and work arrangements of the man that the Holy Spirit uses.” Can this kind of person be saved and perfected? He cannot. If you are sure that only obeying all of God’s words can guarantee your salvation and perfection, then do not listen to the sermons and work arrangements of the man that the Holy Spirit uses. Do not listen and do not put into practice. When I say this, am I forcing anyone to do something? I do not force people to follow my leadership. If you believe that the way you are doing things is fine, then continue doing it. God’s family will not force you. I have never forced any single person to listen to my sermons and fellowship and to obey my work arrangements. However, at the very least, if leaders and workers do not abide by the work arrangements when they work, then I have the right to directly remove them and discard them.

God says, “You shall obey all of the work of the God of today. Even if you do not understand it, you shall not pass judgment on it; all you can do is seek and fellowship.” Even if you do not understand, God has a baseline. Do not pass judgment. If you do not understand, what should you do? Seek and fellowship. If you seek and fellowship, you will resolve the problems you do not understand, right? Even if you still do not understand no matter how to communicate with you, do not pass judgment. Just sit there and listen. Not passing judgment is beneficial to you. If you pass judgment, you will definitely die. If you pass judgment, it is very troublesome! Your inner quality is already very bad and your disposition is not good. This is known as a blind person contracting an eye illness, it is hopeless. If your inner quality is very bad, you are already “blind.” You do not understand the truth and you still cause trouble. Aren’t you just looking for death? Your inner quality is very bad, and you cannot understand the truth. Even if you do not cause trouble, you will not attain salvation. If you do things that do not involve or resist God, and because of this, you survive, then this is already a big blessing. This is not easy. If you still resist and judge God, you are basically looking for death!

The ninth commandment states, “No person shall transgress God’s original place. You can do nothing more than serve the God of today from the position of man. You cannot teach the God of today from the position of man—to do so is misguided.” “No person shall transgress God’s original place.” What does this “God’s original place” refer to? God’s original place is the Creator. Man must not transgress this. If you transgress this, then it is troublesome, right? The meaning of “No person shall transgress God’s original place” is that you must not transgress God. If you believe that you are greater than God, then you are transgressing God’s original place. Is it easy for evil spirits to transgress God’s original place? They say that they are greater than Jesus. This is troublesome. This offends God’s disposition and they will receive God’s curse! Some people always bear witness to themselves as God. Isn’t this transgressing God’s original place? Transgressing God’s place is to transgress God’s original place because incarnate God’s original place is the Creator. He is the one true God that has created the heavens, the earth and all things. He Himself is the Creator. This is God’s original place. If you transgress God’s original place, you want to become God and you say that you are God, then it’s over and it is very troublesome. This person will surely die! 100%. Understood? If you do not recognize God’s incarnation in the last days, you must die. What if you transgress God’s original place? You will definitely die. This is God’s administrative decree.

What is man’s duty? “You can do nothing more than serve the God of today from the position of man.” What is the position of man? Do not forget that we are creations. The original place of incarnate God is the Creator, in other words, the Spirit within Him is the Spirit of the Creator. Since He has the Spirit of the Creator living within, He is our real God and He is the Savior. The Lord of creation has appeared. He has appeared in the flesh and He speaks. If we as mankind have sense, all we will do is stand in man’s position and serve the God of today. In other words, we will stand in the position of the created and serve the Creator. Man cannot occupy God’s position at any time. Why is this? It is because man is a creation and is not God. Therefore, man is unable to stand in the position of the Creator and speak. This is one aspect. “You can do nothing more than serve the God of today from the position of man. You cannot teach the God of today from the position of man.” If you try to “teach the God of today,” you are standing in the wrong position. Someone said, “I am not standing in the wrong position. I am teaching the God of today from the position of man.” You are standing in the position of man. Fundamentally, man is not qualified to teach God. Now, why do you want to teach God? You are not qualified. Someone said, “I have a PhD. Does God have a PhD?” God does not have a PhD. Christ is the truth, the way and the life. Do you know how much greater God is compared with your PhD? How much money can you sell your PhD for? Christ is the truth, the way and the life. If you believe in Him, accept Him and obey Him, you will obtain the truth. Would you trade this for the entire world? You would not! In the past, there was someone that was willing to spend for God. He came to the United States to study and obtained two or three PhDs. The Holy Spirit moved him to return to China to spread the gospel and bear witness to God. After he prayed, he obeyed. From the side of the boat, he took his PhD diplomas and tossed them into the sea. In his eyes, even if those PhD diplomas allowed him to have money and achieve a high position, status and prestige, compared to God’s entrustment, they were valueless. So he threw his diplomas into the sea. God’s entrustment is greater than any PhD! Why is it greater than PhDs and the rewards that are bestowed by presidents and kings? God’s entrustment is the Creator’s exceptional uplifting and use! There is supreme honor. It is the most glorious thing! Sometimes, when I think of this, I am wild with joy. I say that I am this kind of person without a degree nor a good family background. I was born in a destitute family. How could it be that God would use me? I couldn’t even imagine it in my dreams! Wouldn’t you say that this is God’s exceptional uplifting? Can you use money to buy this? No, you cannot. Even if the wealthiest person in the world gives all his money to God, God would not entrust him nor would God give him this title. This is not something that can be bought. God’s will is priceless! No amount of money can buy the feeling that God likes and praises you.

God reminds people that, “You can do nothing more than serve the God of today from the position of man.” Serving God makes us tremble in dread! God allows us to receive God’s entrustment, to spread the gospel and bear witness to God, to be leaders and workers to guide God’s chosen people and to fulfill a particular duty to honor God and do God’s will. This is God’s exceptional uplifting! Do not underestimate anyone’s good fortune. As long as you pursue the truth, you can be perfected. Regardless of what duties you fulfill, in the end, you will obtain God’s approval. In the kingdom, even though there are differences in rank, God’s blessings are the same for all. There is not much difference. “From the position of man” refers to standing in the position of the created. You should have sense and a conscience. You should serve God in accordance to God’s words. This is the principle. Never teach God. When some people see Christ’s normal humanity, they think that within that humanity, there is no way that it could be a very intelligent humanity. There is no modern knowledge or culture within. It does not possess those gestures and those pretenses. When they see Christ, they look down upon Him. Isn’t this arrogant and conceited? As a result, they want to teach God: “When You see others, this is how You must speak. This is how Your words should be like. It should be similar to how foreigners speak. When You see others, You should politely greet them, You should have some manners and You should be well behaved. This is what You should wear.” Isn’t this teaching God? Is it meaningful that you have learned these things? Your manners, your way of doing things and your voice have been trained very well. When you apply them in the real world, you seem very cultured. Thousands of people admire and praise you. Does this mean that you have the truth? Does this verify that you have the reality of the truth? These are all external decorations that have no real value. “You cannot teach the God of today from the position of man.” There are a few courses of action from this saying. The first is seeing that in God’s humanity, His manner is not the same as what those cultured people pay attention to, they just want to decorate God. Isn’t this teaching God? Another is seeing God’s normal and common humanity and seeing that there are some things that God does not understand in regards to today’s developed, modern and civilized world, they say, “Let me teach You,” isn’t this teaching God? Another example is when they see God doing something that is not in accordance with man’s notions, they use man’s notions and imagination to teach God. Isn’t this standing in the position of man and teaching God? These few courses of action belong to the category of standing in the position of man and teaching the God of today.

【150-A-8】

The tenth commandment states, “No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God; in your words, actions, and inmost thoughts, you stand in the position of man. This is to be abided by, it is the responsibility of man, it is alterable by no one, and doing so would violate the administrative decrees. It should be remembered by all.” This is the final commandment. “No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God.” Which person is this referring to? In the past, many people said that this referred to Christ. Now, many people have changed their minds and now they say that this refers to the man that the Holy Spirit uses. If the man that is testified to by God refers to Christ, then all the preceding commandments which refer to God would refer to God’s Spirit. If this is the case, then whether or not they obey these commandments would not be very meaningful for man to obey Christ, right? It would seem like this is the only commandment that refers to Christ and all you would need to do toward Christ is abide by this commandment. Isn’t this a big mistake? This is a serious misunderstanding! Here, the man that is testified to by God refers to the man that the Holy Spirit uses. How would we know which is the man that the Holy Spirit uses? If God did not testify to him, who would know that he was the man that the Holy Spirit uses? Isn’t this the case? God must testify that he is the man that the Holy Spirit uses. Here, it says, “No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God.” Now, what kind of place does this person occupy? The place of a priest. The things that a priest talks about are different from the things that average people talk about. Even though a priest is still one of God’s creations, his place within God’s work is comparatively special. Therefore, here, when it says “No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God,” it is a warning to people not to stand in the place of a priest. Many people say, “I am also a person that is used by the Holy Spirit.” This won’t do. Some people have the same tone of voice that I do. Is this appropriate? It is not appropriate. The place of a priest is a special place. With the exception of the place of God’s words and the Holy Spirit’s words, amongst God’s creations, the place of the priest is special. It is different from the words of average people. So, notice how some of the things I say instruct people, deal with people and prune people. Here, it clearly points to the fact that the priest has this authority and this power. Understood?

Someone asked, “Within God’s words, why does it not say that priests can deal with and prune people?” Do God’s words have these words? Actually, some words in the part of “Utterances of Christ in the Beginning” refer to this. Afterward, during the printing of The Word Appears in the Flesh, it is not necessary to print these words and as a result, they are omitted. Understood? Now, do you understand what this commandment means when it says, “No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God”? Nobody is allowed to stand in the place of the priest. Some people pretend to be people that the Holy Spirit uses. They say that the Holy Spirit uses them. I am not opposed to this. I look forward to more people being used by the Holy Spirit. To God and to man, this is a good thing. However, there is an issue of responsibility here. If you cannot take on this work and you cannot do it in accordance with God’s will, then it is easy for you to interrupt and disturb the work of God’s family and it is easy for you to receive God’s punishment. Therefore, do not stand in this place. If you say that you are someone that the Holy Spirit uses, pursue the truth and seek to be perfected by God. Afterward, no matter how the Holy Spirit makes great use of you, it will be fine. God also likes to obtain some more people that are suitable to be used by God. Man also likes having more people that are suitable to be utilized by God. However, this work can’t be done arbitrarily. If you do not understand the truth, do not blindly do things! Some antichrists look very good. Their knowledge and eloquence are better than mine. They are much better than me. Now, why is it that they walk the path of the antichrist? Why do they interrupt the work of God’s family? Why do they always want to forge a unique path and plant their own flag? They always want to establish an independent kingdom. Are you really capable? It is true that you have some knowledge, you are eloquent and you have some calibers. However, you do not have the reality of the truth and you do not have the Holy Spirit’s work! The things you say are doctrines and empty words. Some things are even absurd. You cannot even speak clearly about pure spiritual theories. What kind of work are you blindly doing? Aren’t you entrapping God’s chosen people? Aren’t you leading people astray? That is why God’s family has no alternative but to expel them! In fact, there is no way we can tolerate them. They have entrapped too many people! Their ability to deceive is too great! Many of our brothers and sisters are simple and pure. If antichrists look like good people in every aspect, our brothers and sisters will end up following antichrists as if they were bewitched. Some people who can differentiate are able to pick out the fallacious things that antichrists say. However, people who have just started believing, even though their caliber is good, they do not know how to differentiate and as a result, they will be deceived. If they get deceived for a long time, they will be ruined, right? This is how it is.

No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God” means that you cannot stand in the place of the man that the Holy Spirit uses. It also means that you must not stand in the place of the priest in God’s family. If God testified to you, then that is what you must do. If He did not, then do not do it. Do not stand in this place. It is not good because it would be easy for you to interrupt and disrupt the work of God’s family. It will be fine if you pursue the truth. If you say, “I will also seek to be used by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can use me,” then your aspirations are good. It is correct enough to press onward and seek to go up. Never stand in the wrong place and do not do work arbitrarily. What does it mean to stand in the wrong place? If you say to God’s chosen people, “Now I have been enlightened. The Holy Spirit has started to use me. You must listen to me!” isn’t this standing in the wrong place? You are standing in the wrong place. If you truly have the reality of the truth and what you communicate really can bring people into the reality of the truth and has the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment, then it is fine. It is out of the question that you are leading others astray. The crucial thing is that right now, as you communicate, you do not have the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment. You are misinterpreting the words of God and saying specious doctrines! You are doing great harm to people! If you do not believe me, let me explain antichrists’ sermons and recordings to you word by word. I will let you see where his fallacies, deviation and falsification are. I shall tell you that through rigorously dissecting and differentiating, they are all the wrong words. Why have I not had a big meeting with God’s chosen people to communicate and dissect this matter? It would take the entire meeting to explain just one piece of their sermons. This is not appropriate, right? This delays proper business! This is an example of “saving a little only to lose a lot.” I cannot do such an idiotic thing. I cannot hold a big meeting to talk about these things. This will delay other matters. This is a small matter and it is not as important as fellowshiping about God’s words.

This commandment mentions, “No one may stand in the place of the man testified to by God.” There is also, “In your words, actions, and inmost thoughts, you stand in the position of man. This is to be abided by, it is the responsibility of man, it is alterable by no one.” These are God’s words. Nobody is allowed to change them. This is a responsibility that man should abide by. Below, God also says, “And doing so would violate the administrative decrees. It should be remembered by all.” If you always stand in the place of the man testified to by God and do things and say things as that man, isn’t this offending the disposition of God? What is the consequence of offending God’s disposition? You will be loathed by God. If you are loathed by God, you will be eliminated. If you do all sorts of evil things, you should be cursed! Being loathed by God is very troublesome. There is no way you can be redeemed. Isn’t this the case? Some people have been in contact with God for a few days and God particularly loathes them. How many things would you say that they have to do in order to redeem themselves? Can they redeem themselves? Once God’s heart of loathing forms, there is no way to redeem themselves. Whether God likes someone is not based on momentary matters. It is based on their continuous performance. When God says someone is good, it does not mean that this person does not have any deficiencies. God said, “Look at this person. Before, when he did not understand the truth, he knew to seek the truth and ask questions. Afterward, he started to do a good job that is more or less acceptable. This is someone that pursues the truth. This person can be trained.” Once I hear God say that this person can be trained, I will start to train them. If God despises someone, I will immediately ban and remove them. I do not need them. This is something that must be done. Do you continue letting the people who God despises serve God? That is appalling!

Remember, “And doing so would violate the administrative decrees.” Standing in the place of the person that God has testified to is a very serious matter. What kind of person clearly violates the administrative decrees? Antichrists and those who impersonate the man that the Holy Spirit uses. Some false leaders and workers always stand and speak in the place of the man that the Holy Spirit uses. It is as if they were people that are being used by the Holy Spirit. They do not say this directly, but they emulate the tone of my voice in their words and actions. For example, I say, “Let me tell you, if you continue to run amok, I will remove you!” Is it appropriate for me to say this? It is appropriate. I have the power to remove you. Is it appropriate for a normal leader or worker to say it? This is not appropriate. Why is it not appropriate? They do not have this power! Aren’t all those leaders and workers who expel or purge people themselves without consulting the church or communicating and consulting with other leaders and workers standing in the wrong place? If they see that the things that an individual does are offensive enough that he or she needs to be expelled or purged, they should first make a proposal and consult and communicate with other leaders and workers. Afterward, they should bring it up at a meeting and communicate this aspect of the truth with God’s chosen people. After God’s chosen people have confirmed this decision, the church will carry out this decision of purge and expulsion. This is the procedure that must be followed. This is the procedure that you must follow if you want to do things properly and in accordance with principles. Suppose you believe that you have the power to carry this out yourself because you are a leader or a worker. “I have the final say. If I think that you should be eliminated, I will eliminate you. If I think that you should be expelled, I will expel you.” If you do this, you are standing in the wrong place. Some leaders and workers do not understand the truth and the principles. They have good intentions and they do these kinds of things in order to protect the work of God’s family. This is just stupid and ignorant. God’s family will not investigate this. If they are evil people and always like to fix and punish others, this is another cup of tea. Understood? Suppose someone does things extremely accurately. Although he uses his title to expel or deal with someone else, the person he has expelled is a truly evil person. This person is a non-believer and should be dealt with. What does this prove? While the person he expelled should be expelled, he did not follow the procedures correctly. He is not allowed to use his title to deal with someone. He should abide by the procedures and provisions of the church and deal with someone properly. This is the correct way of doing things. Now, it is appropriate for him to expel evil people and non-believers. However, he revealed a bit of an arrogant disposition and said some things that were out of line. Isn’t this fixing and punishing people? It isn’t. As long as this worker or leader learns his lesson, is willing to repent, will never again say something that is out of line, is able to stand in the position of man and serve the God of today and can abide by the procedures and provisions of the church to deal with problems, it is fine. This is how you do things according to principles. Since the person he dealt with was an evil person and indeed should be dealt with, what he did can be considered defending the work of God’s family. He has a good intention and his deliberations are correct. Right? Suppose the person he dealt with was not an evil person or a non-believer and this person did not disturb the work of God’s family. Suppose this person just gave leaders and workers a suggestion or that he criticized the leaders and workers saying that what they were doing was not in accordance with the principles of the truth and because of this, he was suppressed, purged or expelled. What kind of problem is this? This is fixing and punishing people! Being suppressed, purged and expelled for giving leaders and workers a suggestion is an extreme example of fixing and punishing. Now, this leader or worker has a problem. He is not doing things according to principles! At the minimum, he is not doing things according to principles. What is a serious example of this problem? Suppose he becomes a powerful leader. Is he capable of becoming an antichrist? All those who are capable of fixing and punishing people can become false leaders and antichrists. Fixing and punishing is a sign of it. If he deals with others fairly and in accordance with the principles of the truth, this is not an example of fixing and punishing. Instead, it is defending the work of God’s family out of a sense of righteousness. The only problem is his way of doing things. It’s just that the way he did things deviates a bit from what is proper. This kind of leader or worker has the deliberation of protecting the work of God’s family. Even though he made a small error, God’s family will train and use him as they did before. If this indeed is a case of fixing and punishing, this person’s humanity and what evil he has done need to be investigated. If he has done a lot of evil, expelled many good people and promoted many people prone to using flattery to get what they want, he should be expelled as an antichrist. Understood?
