24. Know the Value and Significance of Receiving the Holy Spirit’s Work and the Principles of Practice for Receiving It

Only through receiving the work of the Holy Spirit can a believer in God achieve salvation and be made perfect. This is a truth understood by all God’s chosen people. Whether or not a person who believes in God can tread the path of pursuing the truth to achieve salvation depends on whether or not he loves the truth and whether he has humanity. And the key to whether or not a person can receive the work of the Holy Spirit lies in whether or not he can truly obey God’s work and the path he treads. “If what you seek is the truth, what you put into practice is the truth, and what you attain is a change in your disposition, then the path that you tread is the right one. If what you seek is the blessings of the flesh, and what you put into practice is the truth of your own conceptions, and if there is no change in your disposition, and you are not at all obedient to God in the flesh, and you still live in vagueness, then what you seek will surely take you to hell, for the path that you walk is the path of failure. Whether you will be made perfect or eliminated depends on your own pursuit, which is also to say that success or failure depends on the path that man walks.” If a person truly can obey the work of God and thus pursue the truth and put the truth into practice, then he will surely receive the work of the Holy Spirit and be made perfect by the Holy Spirit. It can be said with certainty, when a person believes in God, whether or not he pursues the truth is very important, and whether he has the Holy Spirit’s work determines all. Whether or not a person has the work of the Holy Spirit best shows whether or not he pursues the truth, whether or not he has humanity. Whether or not a person loves the truth and pursues the truth best shows whether or not he has humanity. Only people who love the truth and pursue the truth have humanity; people who do not love the truth and pursue the truth have no humanity. Whether or not one has the Holy Spirit’s work determines whether he will succeed or fail in believing in God. Pursuing the truth and putting the truth into practice are the keys to determining whether or not a person can receive the Holy Spirit’s work. All those who have believed in God for more than three to five years and have never had the Holy Spirit’s work surely are not people who love the truth, to say nothing of being people who pursue the truth and obey God’s work. Only those who abhor the truth and reject the truth can never have the Holy Spirit’s work and are thus eliminated by God. This is absolute. For God searches hearts and minds, and God does all He can to save each man. As long as there is a ray of hope that a person will accept the truth and obey the work of God, God will not abandon him or eliminate him. That saying, “The reformed prodigal is dearer than gold,” shows well enough how God’s love is so real, so great. Thus, all those who have never had the Holy Spirit’s work surely are people who reject the truth and hate the truth; they all are people outside God’s management, already eliminated by God. Therefore, all those who never have had the work of the Holy Spirit surely cannot achieve salvation. This is an indisputable fact.

Since having or not having the Holy Spirit’s work determines whether a person will succeed or fail in believing in God, then God’s chosen people must know the value and significance and the way of receiving the Holy Spirit’s work. This is extremely important for us in achieving salvation while believing in God. Only the Holy Spirit’s work can perfect a person. Since mankind has no organ of directly understanding God’s words and cannot directly access the spiritual world, then the word of God becomes the mystery of life to them. Without the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, mankind would have no way to understand the truth and achieve knowledge of God, and would never be able to realize the value and significance of the truth to humanity. Although mankind can learn and grasp knowledge, since corrupt mankind’s nature is in substance the satanic nature of resisting God, humans are all controlled by their corrupt natures and have no command over themselves. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, pitiful corrupt mankind would have no way even to achieve self-knowledge. Therefore, if man wants to achieve enough understanding of the truth that he can know God and obey God, he can only rely on the guidance and perfecting of the Holy Spirit’s work. This is absolute. To receive the Holy Spirit’s work, one must know the principles of, the scope of, and the results that can be achieved by the Holy Spirit’s work. This is extremely important to a person’s entry into life. Since God’s work of the last days is done through expressing the truth to judge man and chastise man to achieve the result that He saves man and perfects man, the work of the Holy Spirit is mainly to enlighten and illuminate man through God’s words for man to understand the truth and know God; at the same time, the Holy Spirit works on man to guide, discipline, expose, and perfect him. Man needs only to love the truth, earnestly eat and drink God’s words, be willing to accept the truth and put the truth into practice, and he will absolutely receive and enjoy the Holy Spirit’s work. So long as one sincerely prays to God, seeks the truth from God, and opens his heart to God, he will receive the Holy Spirit’s work. These are principles of the Holy Spirit’s work; this is because God is working to save mankind, but mankind must practically cooperate in order to receive the Holy Spirit’s work. Within the scope of God’s words the Holy Spirit enlightens, illuminates, and guides God’s chosen people to achieve the result that they all can eat and drink God’s words, understand the truth, know themselves, and enter into reality, all can obey God’s work, put God’s words into practice, keep from turning to their own way, forsake Satan and the flesh, and obey God’s arrangement and orchestration, thereby achieving salvation and being made perfect. This is a principle of, the significance of, and a result achieved by the Holy Spirit’s work. The Holy Spirit works on everyone who truly believes in God and can obey God’s work. One needs only to earnestly eat and drink the words of God, seek the truth, and act according to God’s words in order to receive the work of the Holy Spirit. God does not discriminate among people; the truth does not discriminate. This is because God is love, and God is absolutely fair and righteous to everyone. In fact, all the results ultimately achieved by man in believing in God spring from the work of the Holy Spirit; all are results achieved through the Holy Spirit’s work. This is beyond question. The man used by the Holy Spirit is a man the Holy Spirit has made perfect, whom the Holy Spirit uses to lead and shepherd God’s chosen people to experience God’s work and enter onto the right track of believing in God. The path led by the man used by the Holy Spirit comes from the Holy Spirit’s work and guidance. The work arrangements and the sermons and fellowship from the above all are of human experiences and knowledge produced through the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination; all are to pave the way for God’s chosen people to understand the truth and enter into the reality of God’s words. So, all of the harvest finally gained by God’s chosen people in believing in God ultimately is a result achieved through the Holy Spirit’s work. This is absolutely true and is a fact no one can deny.

Whether or not a person can receive the Holy Spirit’s work depends on that person’s attitude toward God. The kind of attitude a person actually has toward God mainly depends on that person’s attitude toward God’s words. A person’s attitude toward God’s words is the same as his attitude toward the truth, which is his attitude toward God. If a person has notions and misconceptions about God’s words, it means he has notions and misconceptions about God. If a person abhors God’s words and rejects God’s words, it means he abhors the truth and rejects the truth, he is someone who resists God and an enemy of God. So, the key to whether a person can or cannot receive the Holy Spirit’s work is whether or not this person loves God’s words and whether or not he accepts the truth. Only the heart of one who loves God’s words and thirsts for God’s words can thirst for God, get close to God, and have adoration and love for God. Thus, this person will have true prayers and be able to have true communion with God through prayer. This is a basic condition for receiving the work of the Holy Spirit. Whether or not a person has true prayers to God is based entirely on his attitude to God’s word. Because the word of God is God’s utterance, representing God’s will and God’s disposition, all who love God’s word, can accept God’s word, and can practice and obey God’s word surely can have true prayers and fellowship with God. As long as a person’s heart turns to God and gets close to God, he can receive the work of the Holy Spirit, enjoy the presence of God and the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. Those who do not love the word of God cannot possibly take God’s word as the truth to accept and obey, much less take the practical God incarnate as God to obey and worship. So all people who do not love God’s word cannot possibly have true prayers to God or truly open their hearts to God. All people who do not love God’s words are undoubtedly people who do not love the truth and do not accept the truth, people who resist God and betray God. So all who do not love the word of God, whose hearts have not truly turned to God, can never receive the work of the Holy Spirit, much less understand the truth and get on the right track of believing in God.

The word of God lays bare every kind of person. To see a person’s attitude toward God, a look at his attitude to God’s words makes it entirely clear. We have seen that people of every religion and denomination have long been exposed before God’s words. All people who see God’s words, hear God’s voice and thus are able to accept God’s second coming can accept the true way and return before God. All who do not acknowledge the word of God and thus deny the truth are people who resist God and betray God and people who are doomed to be eliminated and punished. To acknowledge God’s word is to acknowledge God, and he who accepts God’s word and obeys God’s word is a person who accepts God and obeys God. All who abhor God’s words and hate God’s words are people who resist God and hate God, are enemies of God. This is unquestionable. So, whether or not a person has the work of the Holy Spirit is decided entirely according to a person’s attitude toward God. We have seen that all those false leaders, antichrists, and evil people of every sort, who have been eliminated by God’s work, are people who abhor God’s words, refuse God’s words, and hate the truth. So it is no surprise that they can do all sorts of evil and strive to disturb and interrupt God’s work. It is clear, all people who do not love the truth, who hate the truth, will never receive the work of the Holy Spirit; all are doomed to elimination and punishment.

By now all people who pursue the truth, through experiencing God’s work and the spiritual war with the false leaders and antichrists, have begun to understand the truth, have begun to have discernment of various kinds of false leaders, the antichrists, and all evil people, and to have discernment of the work of evil spirits and all kinds of heresies and fallacies, and have got true knowledge of and obedience to the Holy Spirit’s work and the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit. These results of entering into the reality of God’s words all are achieved through the Holy Spirit’s work. All people who have the Holy Spirit’s work have begun to understand the truth and enter into reality. All who have truly understood the truth and entered into reality have got these results because of having obeyed God’s work and received the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. This is beyond question. Now all God’s chosen people who pursue the truth have begun to enter into the realities of the following five aspects, to varying degrees of depth.

First, being able to eat and drink God’s words in a normal way and accept the judgment, chastisement, pruning and dealing, trials, and refinements of God’s words, having entry into the reality of obeying God’s work.

Second, beginning to formally perform the duty of a created being, able to accept pruning and dealing, and able to perform one’s duty to repay God’s love and be loyal to God in so doing.

Third, accepting the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit, entirely obeying the work of God, not worshiping or following man, and not turning to one’s own way.

Fourth, striving to pursue the truth and a change in disposition, to the point of truly obeying and worshiping God, not subject to the restraints of any man, thing, or event.

Fifth, pursuing to be an honest person to shed lies, crookedness, and deceitfulness, and living out the likeness of a genuine person to bear witness for God, satisfy God, and be gained by God.

The preceding five aspects all are realities that those who pursue the truth must enter into. All those who have begun to enter into the realities of these five aspects have achieved this result simply because of the Holy Spirit’s work. Only people who have real testimonies in these five aspects have truly received the work of the Holy Spirit. All people who have in no way entered into reality in these five aspects surely do not have the work of the Holy Spirit. People who do not have the work of the Holy Spirit can never understand the truth and enter into reality. Only those who have entered into the realities of the preceding five aspects can enter into the realities of the ten truths, are people who have truly entered onto the right track of believing in God, and can achieve salvation and be made perfect.

The experience of life is built on the foundation of the Holy Spirit’s work. Only if a person has the Holy Spirit’s work will he have the experience of entry into life. If a person does not have the Holy Spirit’s work, he will have no true experience of entry into life. The experience of entry into life mainly means the practice of and entry into the truth of God’s words. No matter how much a person suffers in believing in God, if in the end he cannot understand the truth or put the truth into practice, then such a person has no experience of life. Suffering is not necessarily the experience of life. In fact all people suffer much. But people who do not have the Holy Spirit’s work, although they suffer, remain unchanged and make no progress, and no testimony of understanding the truth and entering into reality will be visible in them. This is enough to prove they do not have the Holy Spirit’s work. For people who have the Holy Spirit’s work, every time they suffer, they will have a harvest and make progress, having some practice of and entry into the truth. This is true progress in life. So after a few years of experience, they will have obvious great progress in the truth, have discernment to see people, to see through appearances to the essence of things, and will be able to practice the truth and obey God, fulfilling the duty of a created being without being constrained by any man, thing, or event. This is a result achieved through the Holy Spirit’s work. The average person with three to five years of experience of the Holy Spirit’s work may have some knowledge of and entry into the truth, and may communicate some true knowledge of God, because the Holy Spirit’s work is never in vain; the Holy Spirit’s work always bears results. If God determines to complete something then it must be done. Some people sometimes receive some guidance or discipline of the Holy Spirit, but in the truth they receive none of the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment, illumination or perfecting. Although such people have a bit of the work of the Holy Spirit, still their experience of life is too shallow. This is because that mere bit of the Holy Spirit’s work is not the Holy Spirit’s work of perfecting man; it is just the presence of God or God’s discipline they have experienced. Many people have had the Holy Spirit’s work, but since they do not pursue the truth and have no will to suffer, they have been eliminated. So, having a bit of the Holy Spirit’s work does not mean a person is on the path of pursuing the truth and being made perfect. The Holy Spirit’s actual work of making man perfect is multifaceted work, comprehensive work, mainly including enlightenment, illumination, guidance, discipline, smiting, and the exposure and perfecting through all sorts of trials and refinements. Only if one can receive such work of the Holy Spirit is he truly enjoying the entirety of God’s love, and has he entirely stepped onto the path of pursuing the truth and being made perfect. To experience the Holy Spirit’s work of perfecting man requires a person to not only possess a faith surpassing Job’s, but also a will to suffer to gain the truth, as well as an indomitable perseverance and courage. Only such a person can achieve truly being made perfect. When a person has experienced the work of God to the end, when he has undergone all kinds of trials and refinements and sufferings, possessing Peter’s knowledge of and true love of God, only then will he be a person who truly has been made perfect by God.

All people who have believed in God for three to five, even seven or eight years and still have not received the work of the Holy Spirit surely are shown to be people who do not love the truth. If a person does not thirst for God’s words, does not love God’s words, then his prayers to God surely are not true, so in understanding and entering into the truth surely he makes no progress at all. In fact, no matter the reason, if a person has no interest in the truth and does not love God’s word at all, this is his fatal corruption. For if you don’t love God’s word then you can never receive the Holy Spirit’s work; if you do not love God’s word then you cannot possibly love the truth or pursue the truth. And such a person cannot possibly accept any suffering to gain the truth. This is the basic reason he cannot receive the work of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, those who do not love God’s word surely abhor God’s word and abhor the truth or hate the truth. These are all people who have no humanity, are derelict in their duties, and turn to their own ways. If a person is an evil resister of God, an evil hater of God, it is even more impossible for him to receive the Holy Spirit’s work; if he commits all manner of wickedness he must receive God’s punishment. All the false leaders, the antichrists, the evildoers who have been eliminated from God’s family are typical devils, Satans, who do not love God’s word and who hate the truth. Let us look at the following five behaviors of every kind of evil person, false leader, and antichrist so we will know for what reason they lost the Holy Spirit’s work and are eternally eliminated.

First, never seriously eating and drinking God’s words; reading God’s words without relating any of them to their own real conditions, never able to know themselves.

Second, never praying to God to seek the truth when reading God’s words, so they can never communicate real knowledge of the truth.

Third, always spouting doctrinal words and issuing orders for God’s chosen people to obey, while they themselves do not seek the truth, much less obey the work of God.

Fourth, doing everything for private gain, performing their duties only for blessings and reward and thus trading with God; never obeying the work arrangements and the sermons and fellowship from the above; having notions about the man used by the Holy Spirit, not obeying him, much less obeying the work of God.

Fifth, being arrogant and conceited, obeying no one, thinking they are always in the right, feeling like number one in the world, and not at all accepting the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, not at all accepting the truth, much less accepting pruning and dealing; these are the ones outside of God’s management.

Based on the preceding five behaviors we can ascertain that all the false leaders and the antichrists do not love the truth, have no obedience to the work of God, and cannot accept or obey the man used by the Holy Spirit, but are full of notions about and resistance against him. How can such people who disobey, resist, and are in enmity with God receive the Holy Spirit’s work? All those who cannot receive the Holy Spirit’s work surely are people who do not love the truth; they are absurd and foolish people who do not attend to their proper duties and have turned to their own ways; they are devils of Satan. All people who never have the Holy Spirit’s work certainly are spiritually blocked, without the least understanding of spiritual matters in life; they are amateurs speaking as laymen; they are silly fools. If a leader or worker has never had the Holy Spirit’s work, then necessarily he must take the path of antichrists, always spouting doctrinal words, devising tricks to interrupt and interfere with God’s work, misconstruing God’s words, spreading all kinds of fallacies, establishing himself under various banners, not bearing witness for God at all, and becoming a demonic antichrist. All those leaders and workers who never have had the Holy Spirit’s work surely are false leaders, or antichrists, who in the end will be punished and eliminated.

Whether or not a person has the Holy Spirit’s work has a bearing on whether or not he can achieve salvation and be made perfect. Since man does not have an organ to understand the word of God directly, he actually has no way to see through the true condition of his corruption by Satan and cannot truly know himself, not to mention the truth and life’s mysteries; he has simply become Satan’s puppet, living under the dominion of Satan and unable to extricate himself. So the work of the Holy Spirit becomes the key to determining whether a person can be saved and made perfect. People who fear God strongly focus on obeying the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Because the Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit, is God Himself, and is Almighty God’s Spirit, whether or not a person can receive the Holy Spirit’s work determines one’s fate and destination. Then how should one know the Holy Spirit’s work? First he must understand God’s will. Since man’s heart and man’s everything are always laid bare before God, God examines and knows well man’s every action. If a person cannot receive the Holy Spirit’s work, we can be sure that he does not yet live in God’s management, his intention in and way of believing in God have not yet met God’s requirement and standard, and he cannot gain God’s approval for them. Those who truly have received the Holy Spirit’s work have as good as gained a pass issued by God for the road to the kingdom. This proves that these people’s intentions in and views on believing in God are right, and the path they have taken is correct. These things all have gained God’s recognition, so they have gained a pass from God, thus receiving the Holy Spirit’s work. With those who do not have the Holy Spirit’s work, their views on and intentions in believing in God and the path they take surely have not met God’s requirement, have not gained God’s approval, so they have not gained the pass issued by God. Surely these are people who do not truly believe in God and pursue the truth. To receive the Holy Spirit’s work is to get a pass for the believer in God to enter Christ’s kingdom. Whether or not one has the Holy Spirit’s work is a question of whether or not one has a pass of entry into the kingdom. People who have the Holy Spirit’s work are people who live in God’s management, are people who will enter the gate of the kingdom. People who do not have the work of the Holy Spirit are people shut out of Christ’s holy city; they are of Satan’s kind not recognized by God. Having the Holy Spirit’s work has become a sign of God verifying the authenticity of a believer in God. That is why in a former sermon I have fellowshiped: “All people who have never had the Holy Spirit’s work are not God’s chosen people in the true sense; they are not true brothers and sisters.” These words are entirely correct. Only those who have received the Holy Spirit’s work are like-minded true brothers and sisters who alike enjoy God’s words, alike drink of the Holy Spirit’s shepherding.

One’s attitude to the Holy Spirit’s work is his attitude to God, because the Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit, is God Himself, and the incarnate Almighty God’s Spirit. All who are indifferent to the Holy Spirit’s work, with no fear of or obedience to it, are people who do not fear God or submit to God’s work. Surely these are not people who love the truth, who practice the truth, much less are they people who accept God’s judgment and chastisement to pursue salvation. All those believers in God who only focus on doing things their own way and always pursue their own dreams, aspirations, and favorite things, but who do not seek God’s demands and God’s will at all or pay any attention to seeking the truth and putting the truth into practice, surely these are not people who love the truth, much less people who obey the work of God. Some people shout: “The man used by the Holy Spirit is corrupted too. I listen only to God, obey only God,” when actually they cannot put God’s words into practice, much less seek the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, nor pursue the truth. What is the problem here? Let us look at all the false leaders, the antichrists, and evil people of various kinds. They all have no desire to seriously eat and drink the words of God. In doing things they never seek the truth, or put the truth into practice. In prayer they never open their heart to God and speak the truth, but are always perfunctory and go through the motions to cheat God. If a person does not love the truth, then even if he reads God’s words it is only to research God’s words, to misconstrue God’s words, and to take words out of context and manufacture fallacies to deceive people in order to achieve his own ends. Such a person does not have a God-fearing heart at all, so he can never receive the Holy Spirit’s work and in the end will be hated by God, cast out by God. If a person does not have the Holy Spirit’s work, this itself shows that God does not acknowledge him, God is not pleased with him, and God does not approve of him. Not having the Holy Spirit’s work also forebodes that a person is on the edge of danger, and not under God’s management, and he cannot at all achieve salvation. At the same time it forebodes that if he does not repent and turn to God then he will become an object to be eliminated by God. Clearly, all people who do not have the work of the Holy Spirit are people who cannot easily attain salvation. They are most dangerous people, to be guarded against. If a person who does not have the Holy Spirit’s work can commit all manner of wickedness, always doing bad things that interrupt and interfere with God’s work and deceive people, this is proof enough that he is the devil Satan. Therefore, people who have believed in God for more than three to five, even seven or eight years and still have no work of the Holy Spirit are people to be guarded against. Distinguish these people, be cautious with them, and put safety first.

God’s family has isolated or expelled various false leaders and antichrists who did not have the Holy Spirit’s work and committed numerous evil acts. This is based on God’s administrative decrees, proof enough that God’s righteous disposition does not brook man’s offense. Now all the obvious demonic antichrists who committed numerous acts of great evil basically have been expelled. This is entirely according to God’s words: “All those who do not follow the will of God will be punished. This is an immutable fact. Therefore, all those who are punished are so punished for the righteousness of God and as retribution for their numerous evil acts.” In fact, in the churches everywhere, people who do not have the Holy Spirit’s work far outnumber these, comprising a fifth or even a third. But God’s family only expels those demonic antichrists who have done numerous evil acts and always interrupt and interfere with God’s work. It does not expel those who likewise fail to pursue the truth and do not want to do their duty but who have not done anything clearly evil; it just puts them in the B group. This is God’s family giving them a chance to repent. All who have done numerous evil acts, who are utterly devoid of humanity, have to be expelled, because to keep these people in God’s family would bring many harms and no benefit. Even if they can do service, the disadvantages will outweigh the advantages, the gain will be less than the loss, so to expel them is best. As for the remaining people who do not have the Holy Spirit’s work, as long as they do not do evil or cause disturbance but are obedient and submissive and able to go along with the arrangements of the church, they will not be expelled but be given a chance to repent. If later they can pursue the truth and do their duty properly it will be worth it. If later they not only do not do their duty properly but also do evil, it will not be too late to expel them. This is the principle of God’s family for handling people who never have the Holy Spirit’s work.

For a person to receive the Holy Spirit’s work he must understand the value and significance of the Holy Spirit’s work, and should also understand the principles of practice for receiving it. Having the Holy Spirit’s work is a sign of having been predestined and chosen by God. If a person can love God’s words, pursue the truth, and often get the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, then the path such a person walks while believing in God is the right one; it has already got God’s acknowledgement and approval. The Holy Spirit’s work on man is conditional. Mainly it depends on whether or not man pursues the truth. Whom God will make perfect, whom God will cast out, God has long since ordained. If a person is one who pursues the truth, then the Holy Spirit will do the work of making him perfect. If a person is not one who pursues the truth, or is one who only wants to do service in order to get God’s rewards and blessings, though sometimes he may have the Holy Spirit’s guidance and discipline, he will not have the Holy Spirit’s work of perfecting man. For if a person does not pursue the truth and put the truth into practice, then the Holy Spirit will have no way to do the work of leading him into reality; God does not force anyone to do what he is unwilling to do. All people get discipline. Some people are able to repent after receiving discipline, and some people, after receiving discipline several times, still are unable to repent, and the Holy Spirit will have no way to do deeper work on him. God works on a person according to what he can achieve. A person who does not love the truth cannot even accept what others communicate about the truth, however transparent it is. Should the Holy Spirit move him a bit or should he have a pang of conscience, he would the more easily overlook and ignore it. If a person does not have the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, or does not have the perfection of the Holy Spirit’s work, he will never be able to truly understand the truth and gain the truth, and he will be like the theologians and pastors, who can only rely on their brains to research God’s words and to extract whole sets of specious illusions and heresies to deceive people and resist God’s work, thereby becoming antichrists and receiving punishment. Clearly, faith in God without the Holy Spirit’s work all is in vain, all is empty.

As for the person who does not love the truth, no one can lead him to understand the truth and to enter into the truth. Take for example the matter of communicating with God through prayer. The prayers of one who does not love the truth are untrue; we can even say he is perfunctory and going through the motions, spouting empty words to cheat God. He who does not love the truth cannot possibly seek the truth from God or communicate with God from his heart. If a person loves the truth, then surely the more he reads God’s words, the more he will get the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. The more he understands the truth, the more heartfelt words he will pray to God, and the truer, the more real will be his communication with God. Thus in communication with God through prayer he will unconsciously get more enlightenment and illumination from the Holy Spirit, and in many things he will be able to understand God’s demands and God’s will, his heart will be bright and free of darkness, and his heart will better feel that God is so lovable, dear, and honorable. The more a person loves the truth, the more he will like to communicate with God. The more he understands the truth, the more deeply he will communicate with God. A person who has true prayer and communication with God will thank and praise God more and more. If he has violated God’s will or resisted God even a little, his heart will take heavy blame, his conscience will be uneasy, and he will feel tormenting pain. Thus in his heart more and more he will love the truth of God’s words, and want to communicate with God. The more he communicates with God through prayer, the more he will be able to love God and obey God. In this way, in communication with God through prayer, he will keep growing in life, live in God’s presence, live in God’s words, and embark on the path of being made perfect by the Holy Spirit. Only with such a pursuit of the truth can one truly receive the Holy Spirit’s everlasting work of making man perfect, achieve understanding of the truth and knowledge of God, gain a change in disposition and be made perfect by God. Herein lies the value and significance of receiving the Holy Spirit’s work. If a person never has the Holy Spirit’s work and he relies only on his caliber and brain, then no matter how he labors and toils, he absolutely cannot achieve real understanding of the truth, much less have a way to achieve true knowledge of God. If a person believes in God without pursuing the truth, no matter how much he suffers, no matter how he toils, it will not bring a change in his life disposition, and in the end he still will be one who resists God. This is absolutely certain. “A person who does not love God does not love the truth and thus cannot gain God, much less receive God’s approval. Such people, regardless of how they experience the work of the Holy Spirit, and regardless of how they experience judgment, are still unable to revere God. These are people whose nature is unchangeable, who have extremely wicked disposition. All those who do not revere God are to be eliminated, to be the object of punishment, and to be punished just like those who do evil, suffering even more than those who have done unrighteous things.

Man’s real prayer and communication with God is entirely built on the foundation of his loving the truth. Only people who love the truth have a heart that truly fears God and a heart that truly obeys and worships God. If a person does not love the truth, he cannot possibly eat and drink God’s words seriously, much less can he easily accept the truth, so his communication with God through prayer, obedience to God, and fear of God all are just words, unreal. If a person does not love the truth then he does not have the Holy Spirit’s work. This is absolute. People who do not love the truth surely cannot embark on the path of pursuing the truth and being made perfect, and so cannot achieve salvation. To receive the work of the Holy Spirit you must first seriously eat and drink God’s words. In eating and drinking God’s words, you must seek the truth and practice the truth. When a person can love the truth and have a mind to practice the truth, only then will his prayer and communication with God become real and normal. This is the key to receiving the Holy Spirit’s work. Though a person may love the truth and pursue the truth and so receive the Holy Spirit’s work, in experiencing God’s work inevitably he will have, due to his corrupt nature, disobedience and resistance, and will often become negative and weak, and thus he will lose the Holy Spirit’s momentary work. If a person understands the truth too shallowly and he still can come under the control of his satanic nature, unable to truly accept the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, much less accept pruning and dealing, then this is not someone who really loves the truth and can practice the truth, and such a person can also easily lose the Holy Spirit’s work. If a person, when experiencing frustration or failure, loses faith and gives up on himself, it’s even easier for him to lose the Holy Spirit’s work. If a person is timid and fears death and he becomes a Judas and betrays God to basely prolong life, he can even entirely lose the Holy Spirit’s work, and be eliminated by the Holy Spirit. Many people have fallen in this way. Most people have the Holy Spirit’s work in normal conditions, but when they meet trouble and danger, due to their regression and fall, they lose the Holy Spirit’s work. This shows that the disobedience against God in their heart is so grave, their truth-loving heart is so immature and weak, that they still are unable to stand firm at crucial moments. This is enough to prove that they have yet to gain the truth and still are under the control of their satanic nature, so they still can often disobey and resist God, and thus lose the Holy Spirit’s work. To ensure the Holy Spirit keeps working on him, a person must pursue the truth, be firm in faith, at the same time always pray to gain more strength from the Holy Spirit, and thus prevail over the influence of Satan and the power of the flesh and stand firm. It is indeed not easy for one to get on the path of pursuing the truth and being made perfect; he must suffer much pain. So this requires that he possess real faith, and not lose heart or despair despite multiple failures and frustrations, but still be able to pray to God and seek the truth, reflect upon and know himself, and lean on God to stand up and start again, start from scratch. So long as a person can know himself, can draw lessons from failures, can truly repent, and can accept the truth, he will gain God’s acceptance. As long as a person loves the truth and pursues the truth, he will have hope of success, and God will not give up on him. Temporary failures and frustrations do not mean God’s abandonment, God’s elimination. Since man has a satanic nature and is under the control of Satan’s influence, he has a great many difficulties. If he has no mind to pursue the truth and heart that truly loves God, it’s very hard for him, through the trials and refinements, to stand firm.

Despite having understood many truths without undergoing refinement, people are incapable of putting these truths into practice; only during refinement can people understand the real meaning of these truths, only then can people genuinely appreciate their inner meaning. At that time, when they try again, they are able to put the truths into practice properly, and in accordance with God’s will; at that time, their human ideas are lessened, their human naturalness is reduced, and their human emotions are diminished; only at that time is their practice a true manifestation of the love of God.” All of us who have true experience of life have had times when we experience weakness, we fall, or we fail. Every time we get back up after falling, it is actually because of the Holy Spirit’s work, the Holy Spirit’s support, which finally gets us back up onto our feet. Though it may all be through the communication, provision and support of others, as well as our own reflection and prayer that we finally stand up, this is just man’s cooperation; actually what plays the decisive role is the Holy Spirit working in secret until the result is entirely achieved. This has long since been verified by the experiences of God’s chosen people. From the experiences of God’s chosen people we all can see the fact: All people who truly love the truth and pursue the truth have the Holy Spirit’s work, all have started walking the path of pursuing the truth and being made perfect. These people, no matter what kind of failure and frustration they experience, in the end will be able to stand up and achieve salvation and perfection. This is because of the power of God.

The Holy Spirit works on people mainly in three situations. First we are sure the Holy Spirit only works on people who sincerely believe in God and love the truth, because God searches the innermost heart of man. The better a person, and the more he loves the truth, the more the Holy Spirit works on him correspondingly; the worse a person’s humanity, someone who does not do his duty at all, the less the Holy Spirit works on him. If one is an evil person, he can never have the Holy Sprit’s work. The way the Holy Spirit works on a person is not the same for everyone: “The Holy Spirit works on different people based on their inherent substance and does not make demands on them beyond their inherent substance, nor does He work on them beyond their actual caliber. So, the work of the Holy Spirit on man allows people to see the substance of the object of the work. The inherent substance of man does not change; the actual caliber of man is limited. Whether the Holy Spirit uses people or works on people, the work is always in accordance with the limitations of people’s caliber so that they may benefit from it.” The Holy Spirit works on a person based on what he can achieve. A person’s caliber and will are important factors. In a person who does not much love the truth but willingly does his duty, the Holy Spirit’s work generally is just guidance and occasional discipline; since he does not love the truth then he rarely gets the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination in God’s words. Thus, the Holy Spirit only allows the average person who really believes in God but who does not pursue the truth to enjoy God’s presence, sometimes even to enjoy God’s grace, in order to give them faith in God. When adverse situations arise for a person who truly believes in God and is able to do his duty or when he undergoes tribulations, not only can he enjoy God’s presence, but also he can enjoy the Holy Spirit’s guidance and frequent discipline. This is something most people have experienced. But whom God values most are those who pursue the truth and practice the truth. We can all see that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness can practice the truth if they understand the truth upon hearing a clear and illuminating communication of it. Such people not only have the Holy Spirit’s guidance, but often too the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, and even more they have God’s discipline, judgment and chastisement, and trials and refinements that go with them. All whom God loves are honest people, people who, upon hearing the truth and understanding the truth, can practice it. As soon as such an honest person disobeys God or knowingly sins, he must suffer God’s discipline, in fulfillment of the words “For whom the Lord loves he chastens” (Heb 12:6). Discipline is love, mainly for making one perfect. Only those whom God loves can often receive discipline. The more discipline one goes through, the more reality of the truth he will enter into, the more obedient he will become, and the bigger change he will obtain. If one seldom receives discipline, the change he obtains will be small, and his advancement in life will be too slow. So, people who truly can accept the Holy Spirit’s discipline and pruning and dealing, who can obey the Holy Spirit’s work, are the most blessed. Surely they will be able to get on the path to salvation and perfection. Only those people who genuinely pursue the truth and do their duty with staunch loyalty can be approved by God and receive the perfection of the Holy Spirit: “The path to being made perfect is reached through your obedience to the work of the Holy Spirit.

The preceding are the three situations in which the Holy Spirit works, and the different types of work the Holy Spirit does on three kinds of people. Some people are satisfied with the Holy Spirit’s occasional guidance, thinking that they have the Holy Spirit’s work, and that they are God’s beloved; other people have been disciplined a couple times and they think that they have got reality, they can obey God, and they are God’s beloved. These people, because they have too shallow an understanding of the truth, have not yet achieved entry onto the right track of belief in God and do not know what is entry into the reality of the truth. It seems they do not know the depth of man’s corruption, and cannot see how difficult it is for God to make man perfect. All people who have received a bit of the Holy Spirit’s work and feel satisfied with themselves actually have not truly understood the truth or entered into reality, have not truly got on the path to being made perfect by God, and must experience many more failures and frustrations in order to truly understand the truth and arrive at a knowledge of God’s work. You see, achieving salvation is no simple thing. In experiencing God’s work, what each person who receives the Holy Spirit’s work gains is different, so of course their experiences too differ in their degree of depth. Then based on what can we ascertain whether or not the Holy Spirit’s work on someone is His work of making him perfect? It’s very important to understand this. We have said God’s perfecting of man is mainly Him working His words into man so that they become man’s life. First through the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination a person understands the truth and knows God’s words. Then the person can practice the truth and use the truth for the truth to become his life. This requires experiencing many refinements, even hundreds of trials, and many painful prunings and dealings and judgments and chastisements, also many failures and frustrations, even days worse than death and resurrections. If a person enjoys the results of the Holy Spirit working like this, it means that he has stepped onto the path of pursuing the truth and being made perfect. We all see that many people also have the Holy Spirit’s work and can communicate some knowledge of the truth and knowledge of God’s work, but we don’t see that they put the truth into practice or achieve a change in disposition, which is enough to show that they have not yet stepped onto the path of being made perfect. Even though they sometimes have the Holy Spirit’s work, the Holy Spirit has not formally done the work of perfecting man on them. What is the problem here? No doubt, their path still is off course, and they still have their own ulterior motives, grave disobedience and resistance, and they surely are not people who truly pursue the truth. If a person cannot cooperate with the Holy Spirit and always follows his own way, then even though he does no evil he still cannot be made perfect by God. Just as God’s words say: “The Holy Spirit works by this principle: Through people’s cooperation, through them actively praying, searching and coming closer to God, results can be achieved and they can be enlightened and illuminated by the Holy Spirit. It is not the case that the Holy Spirit acts unilaterally, or that man acts unilaterally. Both are indispensable, and the more that people cooperate, and the more they pursue the attainment of the standards of God’s requirements, the greater the work of the Holy Spirit. Only people’s real cooperation, added to the work of the Holy Spirit, can produce real experiences and the substantive knowledge of God’s words. Gradually, through experiencing in this way, a perfect person is ultimately produced.” If a person strays from God’s words, strays from the truth, then the Holy Spirit will stop working on him. At this time God has to wait in patience. Only if the person self-reflects and can accept the truth and really repent will he recover the Holy Spirit’s work. Some people believe in God with their own ideas about being made perfect, and it seems to them that a person merely needs not to do evil, not to abandon God and he can be made perfect. This is too untrue. By this way of thinking, the hypocritical Pharisees did no evil, so why did God loathe them? What God loathes is not simply the doing of evil. In God’s eyes, arrogance, self-righteousness, presumptuousness, and going one’s own way all are of satanic disposition, and are precisely the manifestations of resisting God, which verifies God’s words: “To have an unchanged disposition is to be in enmity to God.” So true. All the false leaders and antichrists do not pursue the truth at all; they only pursue status, wanting only to stand out from the crowd, and after believing in God for years, they have no change whatsoever in life disposition. Their every word and action betrays the truth, resists God, and they get more and more deceitful and treacherous, and are hard to see through. Only people who truly understand the truth can distinguish them clearly and see into their substance, but most people still can be deceived by them. This is a fact.

God makes people perfect through their obedience, through their eating, drinking, and enjoying of God’s words, and through the suffering and refinement in their lives. Only through faith such as this can people’s dispositions change, only then can they possess the true knowledge of God. Not being satisfied with living amid God’s graces, actively thirsting for the truth, and searching for the truth, and pursuing being gained by God—this is what it means to consciously obey God; this is precisely the kind of faith that God wants.” All those whom God is determined to perfect are people who pursue the truth, with resolve; they have a conscience, have sense, and have humanity. The Holy Spirit works on those who pursue the truth just as He worked on Peter, making them experience more instances of pruning and dealing and hundreds of trials and refinements. For the sake of gaining the truth, those who love the truth and have resolve will not lose heart no matter how much they suffer, and no matter how many times they fail, they will still strive to meet God’s requirements, and unswervingly and dauntlessly pursue the truth, seek the truth, accept the truth and obey the truth, until finally they can attain perfection, and be much used by God. God’s words say it more clearly: “Love that has experienced refinement is strong, and not weak. Regardless of when or how God subjects you to His trials, you are able to care not whether you live or die, to gladly cast aside everything for God, and to happily endure anything for God—and thus your love will be pure, and your faith real. Only then will you be someone who is truly loved by God, and who has truly been made perfect by God.” Only those who, in trials and refinements and spiritual battles, can abandon the truth, refuse the truth, doubt the truth, despise the truth, and play with the truth, will be utterly exposed and eliminated, receiving God’s righteous punishment.

The path of pursuing the truth has no end, knowing God has no end, so being made perfect, though it does have a standard, also has no end. It’s not that once you have understood some truths and are somewhat obedient, you have experienced everything. God has said: “In believing in God, man should pursue being made perfect by God, being able to submit to God, and the complete obedience to God. If you can obey God without complaint, be mindful of God’s desires, achieve the stature of Peter, and possess the style of Peter spoken of by God, then that will be when you have achieved success in belief in God, and it will signify that you have been gained by God.” Only at that point will you truly live out the value of life and the meaning of life. Finally gaining God’s approval is the ultimate goal. To achieve being made perfect requires that, in fulfilling one’s duty and serving God, one do everything according to God’s words under the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Only this is the safe, assured, and secure way. People who truly understand the truth must be clear that obeying the Holy Spirit’s guidance is not vague, and in doing so, one should not act according to his imagination or notions; he must be certain that all of the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination is within the limits of God’s words, and based on God’s words. Although God’s words do not represent God’s entirety, God’s words are all-embracing, like bright light shining. God has left explicit words to lead humanity, to save humanity, perfect humanity, and accomplish everything; and there is the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, entirely enough to make man understand God’s words and gain the truth and life. So, to walk the path of pursuing the truth to be made perfect, a person need not look for other ways or fumble around too much. If a person who is a leader or worker cannot see the fact that God’s words have accomplished all, surely he is a false leader or worker who blindly leads the way. If this person cannot honestly accept God’s judgment and chastisement and, in trials, cannot accept the truth or practice the truth, and he can even go his own way and do what suits himself, he will easily stray into the path of antichrists and become a demonic antichrist. People who pursue the truth must be cautious of this, must be clear about the path led by the Holy Spirit of pursuing the truth and being made perfect, and should never try to play tricks or do what suits themselves to achieve their own ends, both of which are the path walked by antichrists—the lackeys of Satan. The false leaders and antichrists are people who abhor the truth, who hate the truth. When God incarnate does the work of the last days they opportunistically crowd into God’s family. When God has appointed the man used by the Holy Spirit to lead God’s chosen people, by hook and by crook they refuse, resist, and deny the man used by the Holy Spirit, attempting to control God’s chosen people and establish their independent kingdom. God issues truth judging and chastising corrupt mankind, and they, not accepting the truth at all, much less accepting God’s judgment and chastisement, strive to interrupt and disturb God’s work. On the one hand they oppose the man used by the Holy Spirit; on the other hand they judge and condemn leaders and workers at all levels, saying they are false. They do nothing but exalt themselves and establish themselves, earnestly wishing for God’s chosen people to obey and worship them as God. And there is a more insidious antichrist, and he, actually under the banner of bearing witness for the man used by the Holy Spirit, went around spreading heresies and fallacies, and even distributed his heresies and fallacies to churches in various localities, earnestly wishing for all of God’s chosen people to accept his deceptive words. He is truly shameless and extremely arrogant. This is behavior typical of a lackey of Satan, an antichrist, intended to make God’s chosen people forsake God’s work and stray from God’s words, to cut the relation between God’s chosen people and God and remove God’s place within the hearts of God’s chosen people. This is a more insidious satanic scheme. If one has no truth, it is exceedingly difficult for him to see through such an insidious antichrist, such a lackey of Satan. To distinguish such insidious antichrists, all the more one is required to pursue the truth and be equipped with the truth. Only those who can distinguish the plots and cunning schemes and the heresies and fallacies of the various kinds of antichrists are people who have truly understood the truth and have entered into reality, and only these are the people truly on the right track of believing in God. If a person cannot distinguish and see through the essence of the most insidious antichrists’ nature and their true face, then he still has no reality of the truth, and is still in danger of being deceived and eliminated. This is absolutely certain.

By now God’s chosen people all have seen that it is not a simple thing for a person to gain the truth and be made perfect while experiencing God’s work. Gaining the truth is entirely achieved through battle with the devil Satan, because the more a person experiences God’s work and the more he understands the truth, the closer his heart will be to God, and the more Satan, unwilling to fail, will madly launch attacks. Living through all kinds of spiritual battles, God’s chosen people are able to grow up in life, attain salvation, and be made perfect. God’s chosen people already know that the more they understand the truth so that they begin to enter into the reality of the truth, the more Satan sees red, and the more madly it launches attacks in mortal struggle. What Satan fears most is that people will understand the truth, return to God, and be gained by God, so it strives to interfere. The road of pursuing the truth and arriving at being made perfect is absolutely full of Satan’s temptations and full of spiritual battles. For God’s chosen people to stand firm in their testimony, they must gain the truth, and must battle with Satan. This is an unavoidable fact. The more God’s chosen people battle with Satan, the more they can understand the truth, and the more they will have true knowledge of God. God’s salvation and perfection of man is achieved in His battle with Satan. This intense battle that God does with Satan to save man is all too real. For God’s chosen people to attain salvation they must be firm in faith and resolutely stand on the side of God, absolutely obeying God’s work and the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit. Especially in performing their duty and serving God they must exalt God and bear witness for God; this is performing the duty of man. People should never exalt any man or bear witness for any man, because God is a jealous God, a righteous and holy God. Any act of exalting a man or bearing witness for a man is an act of antichrists. God is always God, and man is always man. A man, whether he has been made perfect or is being used, is always a man. This is an immutable fact. So serving God requires one always to exalt God and bear witness for God, and defend God’s work. To perform the duty of a created being properly, one must only exalt God and bear witness for God, obey God, and worship God. One must not treat God as a man, much less obey and worship a man as God. On this matter we must understand God’s will and find the proper place of man, not stand in the wrong place, and not stray from the true way. In performing one’s duty while serving God, one must do so under the guidance of God’s words and the Holy Spirit, in order to serve in accordance with God’s will. If one is not under the guidance of God’s words and the Holy Spirit and the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit, and he just pursues according to his own imaginings and conceptions and even takes his thoughts, notions and impure motives for the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, then he has entirely misunderstood God’s will. It is quite easy for him to stray from the true way and go his own way and become a person who resists God. In the matter of serving God, if one acts according to his own intentions and imaginings, he will walk the path of antichrists. So it is required that everyone who does his duty in service to God do things based on God’s words and based on the truth, and know that all of the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination surely is within the entirety of God’s words and surely cannot be outside God’s words. Since God has spoken all things thoroughly during His work in the last days, and His words are all-embracing, then verifying whether or not a person’s knowledge and understanding comes from the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination must be based on God’s words. If it is contrary to God’s words you can be certain it absolutely does not come from the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination but comes from his deviant and erroneous reception or the work of evil spirits. This we must see clearly. Whether a person can bear witness for God and exalt God best reveals whether a person has the Holy Spirit’s work, best reveals whether a person has the reality of the truth, and best reveals whether or not the path that person treads is the right one. Those who always adore and exalt someone but do not bear witness for God and serve God are antichrists; they are evil spirits, unclean spirits, Satans. This is beyond doubt. Distinguishing them in this way cannot fail. People who do not have the truth are too easily deceived. Later, more insidious demonic antichrists of various kinds will appear. Experiencing the battle with demonic antichrists opens one’s eyes and yields great harvest. Experiencing God’s work in this way is such a blessing. The battle with the demonic antichrists is the very best opportunity for us to seek the truth and gain the Holy Spirit’s work. This is a shortcut to understanding the truth and gaining the truth.

As God’s chosen people eat and drink the words of God and understand the truth more deeply every day, they get clearer and clearer as to the path to attaining salvation and being made perfect. Therefore, God’s chosen people should focus only on pursuing the truth and pursuing knowledge of God, to achieve a change in disposition and be made perfect. This is God’s will. All people who have truly understood the truth and have entered into reality have seen the results of the Holy Spirit’s work, and have tasted the sweetness of understanding the truth and practicing the truth; they all have known the true value and significance of gaining the truth. Only by gaining the truth can we have a true life and happiness. Without the truth we are lifeless, inhuman cattle. Without the truth, we will live forever in darkness, living under Satan’s domain and being deceived, fooled, oppressed, tortured, and downtrodden, living in a life worse than death. Only if we have understood the truth and gained the truth does it mean that we have truly escaped from Satan’s influence and achieved salvation, so that we can live in the light, live in God’s presence. It is clear that all that the Holy Spirit’s work gives to man is the truth, the light, liberation and freedom. God’s work is saving man and perfecting man.

Now, the above has delivered almost enough sermons on entry into life, and God’s chosen people have seen clearly the path to salvation and being made perfect. We can say that this is the path led by the Holy Spirit, and the path indicated by God in His words. If anyone makes new devices and goes his own way, he is an insidious antichrist, Satan’s lackey interrupting and interfering with God’s work, and an evil spirit working to deceive people. God’s chosen people must see this clearly. The duty performed by the man used by the Holy Spirit is to lead God’s chosen people to enter into the reality of the truth and get on the road to salvation and being made perfect. Now God’s chosen people already have begun to get on the right track of believing in God. This is entirely a result achieved through the Holy Spirit’s work. That God’s chosen people can accept the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit and enter onto the right track of believing in God is entirely because of the power of God, which is enough to prove that God already has defeated Satan.

All people who pursue the truth already know that only the words of God are always the truth, while the sermons and fellowship of the man used by the Holy Spirit are but his experiences and knowledge that come from the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, and they are only to pave the way for God’s chosen people to understand the truth and know God’s words. They can never replace God’s words. God is always God; man is always man. God’s chosen people should only obey God, worship God; they should never treat God as a man, much less obey and worship any man as God. Even if one day God leaves the earth and returns to Zion, what we believe in will still be the incarnate Almighty God who accomplishes the Word appearing in the flesh. What we hold to will still be all the words of Almighty God, and we will still pray in Almighty God’s holy name. The path we follow will still be Peter’s path of pursuing the truth to achieve being made perfect, as indicated by God in His words. If one, while believing in God, can hold to these four principles, then that is truly standing firm in his testimony. Such a person is one who has truly gained God’s salvation and been gained by God. This is because the words of God have already explained all of these. God incarnate in the last days has already completed God’s management plan, and God certainly will not become flesh again and start again from scratch. God’s words accomplish all; it is based on God’s words that the Holy Spirit does the work of perfecting man. It is the Holy Spirit, God Himself, who does the perfecting work, and the man used by the Holy Spirit is merely leading and shepherding God’s chosen people to experience God’s work and achieve entry onto the right track of believing in God. In fact, God’s chosen people’s acceptance of and obedience to the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit is their obedience to God’s work; it does not at all change the substance of their belief in God, following of God, and obedience to God. Only if God’s chosen people accept and obey the leading and shepherding of the man used by the Holy Spirit does it mean that they truly obey God’s work and experience God’s work. In fact, God’s work still is done by God Himself, it is still the Holy Spirit leading God’s chosen people along the path ahead, and it is still the Holy Spirit who is doing the work of perfecting men. Men’s work of cooperation is too finite. Later, through all kinds of trials, it will still only be the Holy Spirit who does the work of perfecting man, and the Holy Spirit who is able to do the work of perfecting man. This is a fact no one can deny.

Now it is the man used by the Holy Spirit who is leading God’s chosen people. In substance it is still the Holy Spirit working to lead God’s chosen people. The leading of the man used by the Holy Spirit is finite and temporary, while the Holy Spirit’s leading and the leading of God’s words are infinite and eternal. God’s chosen people must see this clearly. When the great disasters and great trials come, then there will only be the guidance of the Holy Spirit and of God’s words. At that time God will formally begin to test each man’s work. All people who have truly understood the truth and entered into reality will, under the leading of God’s words and the Holy Spirit’s secret guidance, experience all kinds of tribulations and trials and achieve being made perfect. The various kinds of evil people, false leaders, and antichrists who do not pursue the truth or have any reality of the truth will receive punishment and retribution. Just as God’s words have said: “I am now walking abroad in the midst of My people, I live in the midst of My people. Today, those who bear genuine love toward Me, people like these are blessed; blessed are those who submit to Me, they will surely stay in My kingdom; blessed are those who know Me, they will surely wield power in My kingdom; blessed are those who seek after Me, they will surely escape from Satan’s bonds and enjoy blessing in Me; blessed are those who are able to forsake themselves, they will surely enter into My possession, and inherit My kingdom’s bounty. Those who run around for My sake I will commemorate, those who go to expense for My sake I will joyfully embrace, those who make offering to Me I will give enjoyments. Those who find enjoyment in My words I will bless; they will surely be the pillars that hold up the ridgepole in My kingdom, they will surely have matchless bounty in My house, and no one can compare with them. Have you ever accepted the blessings that you were given? Have you ever sought the promises that you were made? You will surely, under the guidance of My light, break through the stranglehold of the forces of darkness. You will surely not, in the midst of darkness, lose the light guiding you. You will surely be the master of all creation. You will surely be an overcomer before Satan. You will surely, at the downfall of the kingdom of the great red dragon, stand up amid the myriad throngs to bear witness to My victory. You will surely be resolute and unwavering in the land of Sinim. Through the sufferings you endure, you will inherit the blessing that comes from Me, and will surely irradiate within the entire universe with My glory.
