"God's Authority Is Real and True" | Praise Hymn With Lyrics

May 8, 2020

Verse 1

Although God is possessed of power and authority,

His authority is real and true, not empty.

The authenticity and reality

of His power’s revealed gradually,

and embodied in His creation and control of all that is,

and the process by which man He leads and manages.

Chorus

God’s power and authority

are revealed in all things constantly.

These revelations show His authority exists,

for He uses His power and His authority

to continue His work

and to command and rule over all things.

His power can’t be replaced

by His messengers or angels.

He’s the only One who exerts power and authority.

This brooks no doubt from all humanity.

Verse 2

Every method, perspective and detail of God’s reign

over mankind, the universe and all things therein,

all the work He’s carried out and His knowledge of all

serve as proof that’s doubtless and literal

of the fact that God’s power and authority

are real and true things, and not words ringing emptily.

Chorus

God’s power and authority

are revealed in all things constantly.

These revelations show His authority exists,

for He uses His power and His authority

to continue His work

and to command and rule over all things.

His power can’t be replaced

by His messengers or angels.

He’s the only One who exerts power and authority.

This brooks no doubt from all humanity.

Bridge

Messengers and angels seem to have great power.

They might have made miracles happen

or done things entrusted by God,

but in the end,

they just completed God’s commission.

Their acts were not proof that they possessed

an authority like God’s.

For nothing else has power like His

that creates and rules all that was, will be, and is.

Nothing can exert or show forth God’s power.

Chorus

God’s power and authority

are revealed in all things constantly.

These revelations show His authority exists,

for He uses His power and His authority

to continue His work

and to command and rule over all things.

His power can’t be replaced

by His messengers or angels.

He’s the only One who exerts power and authority.

This brooks no doubt from all humanity.
