331 When God’s Rod Comes

Verse 1

Unbeknownst to man, I survey the earth,

yet I see nowhere that is filled with life.

I shine light and heat upon the earth,

looking over the land from third heaven above.

Chorus 1

Light and heat fill the land, but only they delight.

Man is not aroused; he revels in his ease.

So I bestow My rod to cast out the light and heat.

As earth grows dark and bleak,

man keeps on enjoying, enjoying.

Verse 2

Man slightly senses My rod, but does not react.

He simply carries on enjoying blessings of earth.

Then, I speak words to chastise all men.

All people are crucified upside down.

Chorus 2

When My chastisement comes,

man’s shaken and startled by earth-shattering noise.

He tries to flee, but it’s too late.

With My chastisement, My kingdom descends.

All nations destroyed, leaving nothing behind.

When My chastisement comes,

man’s shaken and startled by earth-shattering noise.

He tries to flee, but it’s too late.

With My chastisement, My kingdom descends.

All nations destroyed, leaving nothing behind,

leaving nothing behind, leaving nothing behind.
