The Things Those Who Serve God Must Have

The Basic Conditions That Those Who Serve God Must Meet

What are the most basic things that someone who serves God must have? He must at least understand the truth. Specifically, he must know God’s work. Knowing God’s work is achieved through experiencing God’s work. Suppose someone can obtain the Holy Spirit’s work in experiencing the work of God. Through the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, he has reached a genuine knowledge of God’s work and a genuine experience of life, and in particular, he has gained a genuine knowledge of his own corrupt essence; he can understand the truth and resolve the problems of his own corruptions by eating and drinking God’s words. This kind of person is someone who has entry into life through experiencing God’s work. All those who have entry into life are those who have practical experiences. These are people who can guide God’s chosen people to enter into the real experience of life. They can guide God’s chosen people to eat and drink God’s word and help them resolve the problems of their own corruptions. They can help God’s chosen people know and understand God’s word in order for them to enter into the truth. They can help God’s chosen people know how to experience and know God’s work. This kind of people is qualified to serve God. Some people who have become workers or leaders are unable to talk about their own practical experiences; that is, they are unable to talk about any genuine experience of resolving their own corruptions through eating and drinking God’s words. Additionally, they do not have a genuine knowledge of their own corrupt essence. Consequently, when they express their corruptions, they do not disapprove of them and they do not think that they are wrong. In particular, they are unable to see or discern any of the corruptions expressed by their brothers and sisters. This kind of people is unable to serve God. Suppose a leader is unable to guide his brothers and sisters to enter into the truth of God’s words; he is unable to guide them to understand the truth and know their corrupt essence based on God’s words and unable to guide them to truly know God’s life and disposition through experiencing God’s work. This leader is unable to do the practical work or do the substantive work that God has entrusted him to do. Why do I say that this person is unable to do this work? He is unable to guide his brothers and sisters to eat and drink God’s words and to enter into the experience of life. This is someone who obstructs the carrying out of God’s will. Everything he does disrupts God’s work. It can be said that it causes an interruption and disturbance to God’s work of saving man. That is why I say that this kind of person is unable to do the work of serving God. Serving God requires one to rely on one’s own genuine experiences and genuine entry and the truths one understands to resolve one’s own corruptions as well as other people’s corruptions. This is the type of practical work that is involved with serving God. Therefore, those who serve God must understand the truth, have a genuine experience of life and live out the reality of God’s word. Only this kind of people is qualified to serve God.

The Principles One Should Have When Serving God

Those that serve God must be possessed of the truth. This is a matter of principle. If someone does not understand the truth and has not entered into the reality of the truth himself, he will not be able to guide other people into God’s word and will certainly be unable to communicate the truth. If he does not understand the truth and has no genuine experiences, he will not be able to see clearly the real conditions of his brothers and sisters. He will not be able to discover the deviations in his brothers’ and sisters’ experiences and he will be unable to resolve the difficulties his brothers and sisters have in entering into life. Therefore, if those who serve God are not clear about the truth, they will not be qualified to serve God. This is a matter of principle when it comes to serving God. The second matter of principle is that if someone who serves God does not truly obey God, he will not be qualified to serve God. Suppose a leader is able to communicate doctrinal words. After his brothers and sisters have listened, they admire him a lot and they feel what he has fellowshiped about sounds great and seems to have clearly shown the way. However, after they have listened for a few years, no results are produced in them. This indicates that what this leader is talking about is doctrinal words and not the reality. He himself does not have any reality. All he can do is communicate doctrinal words. What kind of service is this? This is a service that resists God, a deceptive kind of service. Using doctrinal words to deceive the brothers and sisters—this is a deceptive and confusing kind of service; that is why it is a service that resists God. All those who frequently communicate doctrinal words are people who do not have the truth and reality. Their service is service that resists God. This kind of people must be replaced. If someone who serves God is not truly obedient to God, does not genuinely obey the work arrangements of God’s family or does not accept the truth communicated by his brothers and sisters or the reasonable proposals advanced by them, this person is someone that does not obey God. Therefore, in order to measure whether someone genuinely obeys God, first you must look at whether he can obey the work arrangements of God’s family. Second, you must see whether he can accept and obey God’s words and God’s requirements. If he does not genuinely obey God based on the truth and God’s words, then this kind of person is not worthy of serving God. If someone who serves God does not obey the work arrangements of God’s family, always exalts himself and bears witness to himself, always does things according to his whims and always makes God’s chosen people adore and obey him, this kind of leader is an antichrist. So God’s family states that those who do not genuinely obey God are not qualified to serve God. … Suppose a leader is able to stand on the side of God and obey Him when it comes to matters of principles and important issues, but he is somewhat disobedient and sometimes does whatever he pleases in his human living. As for this kind of person, as long as he is genuinely obedient to God in some regards, God’s family can retain him. If a leader obeys very infrequently, and when it comes to key matters of principles, he is basically unable to obey, always goes his own way, arbitrarily takes rash actions and follows his own will in doing things, it can be said that this kind of person does not genuinely obey God. He is not worthy of serving God. This is a very important principle. When considering whether a leader is fit for God’s use, first we must look at whether he genuinely obeys God, whether he can truly obey the work arrangements from the above, and whether he can obey the truths that God requires man to enter into and put into practice. If he is able to obey when it comes to important matters but is unable to obey in one or two other situations, then this person can be basically considered as someone who is able to obey God, and he can serve God. After all, since he has not yet attained salvation and become perfected, we should not be too demanding of him. If a leader or a worker can complain during a few obvious trials, if he can complain about God, disobey God, and arbitrarily take rash actions, not bearing witness at all, this basically confirms that he is not someone who obeys God. This kind of person should be replaced. In the future, during the great disasters, the work of the above in God’s family will have basically concluded. If God’s chosen people discover that a leader does not genuinely obey God, and that especially during major trials, this person is someone who completely disobeys and resists God, someone who has already been eliminated by God, how then should God’s chosen people treat this kind of person? This person should simply be abandoned, because at that time, there will be no more universal arrangements from God’s family, and the work of the above in God’s family will have concluded. In a situation of civil strife, if a leader does not truly bear witness and already has been eliminated by the Holy Spirit, his brothers and sisters can directly abandon him and reject his guidance. This is a key issue. Right now, there are shepherds, leaders and workers within God’s family who are responsible for God’s chosen people. Under these circumstances, if it is discovered that there is a problem with a leader, God’s family can be responsible for removing him from his position and holding an election to choose a new one. If there is a civil strife, when the disasters descend, all order will be destroyed. There will not be people visiting the churches in different places to do pastoral work. At that time, God’s chosen people will have to deal with problems by relying on the truth they have understood. … Now, what kind of leader is after God’s heart? What kind of leader should God’s chosen people obey and accept? He must be someone who exalts God and bears witness to God. In his work, he must exalt God and bear witness to God by mainly bearing witness to all that God is and has, God’s disposition, God’s almightiness, God’s wisdom, God’s work and God’s loveliness. The results that can be attained are: Through his witnessing, people can have a genuine knowledge of God, feel God’s dearness, venerableness and God’s loveliness. Through his witnessing, people can truly obey God. It will cause God’s chosen people to truly have a place in each of their hearts for God. In the end, through his work, God’s chosen people will have a genuine knowledge of and true obedience to God and will revere God. We should listen to, obey and accept this kind of leader. There is nothing wrong with this. Suppose there is a leader who says things that are particularly pleasant to hear and who is very good at trapping people. Under his guidance, people have believed in God for many years but they do not truly obey God or truly know God. God does not truly have a place in people’s hearts, while this leader has a very high status in their hearts. People particularly adore and obey him. However, when it comes to Christ, people do not know Him. In their hearts, Christ is a stranger. What kind of leader would you say this person is? He is an antichrist who has taken the place of God in people’s hearts and taken people captive on the way. Formerly, there were leaders like this in God’s family but they have already been eliminated. Right now, it is certain that there are still such ones. In terms of differentiating these leaders, you should think like this: Suppose this leader has preached and worked for many years and under his leading, you do not have a genuine knowledge of Christ. Instead, you have much admiration for him and especially obey him and you grow more and more distant from Christ. Christ becomes more and more of a stranger. The place that God occupies in your heart grows smaller day by day and the place that this leader occupies in your heart increases day by day. If this is the situation, then this person is an antichrist, a robber and a demon. Suppose a leader never communicates how you should come to know God. He never bears witness to what God has and is and he never talks about his knowledge of his own corruptions or his knowledge of his own essence. Instead, he always talks about how he obeys God, how much he has suffered, how he is after God’s heart and how good he is. This kind of person is someone that exalts himself and bears witness to himself. This person is an antichrist, a demon and a deceiver. This is a principle for differentiating such leaders. Only those that exalt God and bear witness to God are ones who truly serve God. What are the fruits that one can attain through exalting God and bearing witness to God? It allows people to enter into God’s word, know God, truly love God and truly obey God. If you do not exalt God and bear witness to God, then God’s chosen people will not have a true knowledge of God and they will be unable to truly love God and obey God. Therefore, based on the exalting and witnessing of God by those who serve God, in the end, the results that can be achieved are that God’s chosen people will know God and that they will increasingly feel God’s dearness, loveliness and venerableness, and will increasingly feel that knowing God is a bliss and a great enjoyment. The fruits that people can attain in the end through knowing God are that they will obtain a genuine human life and that their lives will be filled with hope. Therefore, only exalting God and bearing witness to God is truly serving God. This is absolutely true. Judging whether a leader is after God’s heart involves seeing how well he practices exalting God and bearing witness to God. There are some people who want to exalt God and bear witness to God but they do not know how to put it into practice. They do not know how to exalt God and bear witness to God. What kind of problem would you say this is? They do not have a genuine knowledge of God and their entry into life is too shallow. That is why even though they want to exalt God and bear witness to God, they are unable to do so. This is quite normal. However, if their intention is proper, they should talk about their real experiences, their knowledge of their own corrupt essence or talk about their own experiences and knowledge of God’s word. This can also be of help to others. Remember, if a leader always traps people and bribes people’s hearts, he is definitely not good. There is a Chinese saying that goes, “using pleasant words to hide malicious intentions.” Those that always trap people and bribe people’s hearts are definitely not good. Those who always sow dissension and make others treat them well are particularly demons and treacherous people. If, when a leader sees that a relationship between two people is good, he incites disharmony and causes the relationship to sour so that he can have a good relationship with both of them, then this is the most treacherous of people. You should learn how to distinguish this kind of person. What should the moral quality of leaders be like? They should treat everyone equally. Their treatment of other people should be fair and equitable. They should be fair and just to all people. This is what a person with a good moral character is like. This kind of person is a proper, moral and dignified person. If a leader cannot treat other people equitably, then this is definitely not a good person. All those who cannot treat other people fairly and equitably are definitely not good people. Their humanity definitely is flawed. In colloquial terms, they are not men of honor. All those who are adept at trapping other people are absolutely the most deceitful ones, and they are evil people. Particularly, those who like to sow dissension amongst the ranks and bribe other people’s hearts are treacherous demons. These manifestations are all expressions of the great red dragon’s poisons and are the great red dragon’s tricks. Now, how should one put into practice exalting God and bearing witness to God? You need to talk about your own genuine knowledge of God. However much knowledge you have, that is how much knowledge you should talk about. If you do not have any knowledge, do not force yourself to talk. Any excessive discussion comes from reasoning and imagination. However much practical knowledge you have, that is how much you should talk about. This is the most suitable way of doing it. Additionally, as you put into practice exalting God and bearing witness to God, what should you do when you discover that your knowledge of God is very lacking and your own experience is too shallow? You should pursue to know more of God. Now, how should you pursue? Ponder and read more of God’s word. We should diligently ponder and read all of God’s words more often, particularly those that have to do with bearing witness to God and bearing witness to God’s work. This way, with the help of the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, we will be able to have some knowledge of God. And then with the help of our own experience, we will gradually have a deeper knowledge of Him. This is how we should practice. For us to exalt God, we should see God’s love, God’s will and God’s requirements for man in all things. We should see what kind of hope God has for us and we should see what God has said about these things. We should exalt God like this in every single thing. We should first present to people God’s words and fellowship about God’s will and God’s requirements for man so that people will be able to obey God, try to grasp God’s will, seek the truth within God’s words, seek God and know how to obey God. This is what it means to exalt God. Exalting God means that you must not let other people look up to you. Do not show off yourself in any matter. You must help other people look up to God, understand God’s will, know God’s requirements and act according to God’s requirements. This is exalting God. But man often does not have God in his heart. When a situation is encountered, a few people begin to talk about their own perspectives. Not one exalts God and says, “We should listen to God’s words and see what God’s will is.” People like to express their own opinions. They like to use their own perspectives to direct other people and they like other people doing things according to their own perspectives. Is this not exalting themselves? This is exalting themselves. People believe that they themselves are very capable and their minds are brilliant. They believe that they can completely resolve any problem by relying on themselves. They think that they can find a path and know how to deal with issues on their own. They just do not seek God or look to God. This is what is known as having one’s own way and believing oneself as infallible. This is also corrupt humanity’s arrogant disposition. Bearing witness to God means the same as exalting God. When someone does not know what God’s will is or what God’s requirements are for man in regard to a particular situation, at that time, as leaders and workers, we should bear witness to God. You say, “God has these requirements for man when it comes to this situation. In the past, when I experienced this kind of situation, God enlightened me in this way. He illuminated me in this way. The Holy Spirit helped me understand God’s word like this. That was how I knew how to act in accordance with God’s will….” When you tell people about your own experience, this is bearing witness to God. The meaning of bearing witness to God is to bear witness to how God has worked on you, guided you and how you have experienced this so that in the end, you are able to obey and satisfy God. Bearing witness to God requires you to talk about these kinds of experiences. Regardless if your experience is a success or a failure, as long as it is a true experience, it will be beneficial to other people. This is what it means to bear witness to God. For example, someone is unable to see through a particular situation. A few people express their own perspectives together and give advice and suggestions. This is when it is necessary to bear witness to God and exalt God. This is because man is not the truth. You cannot see through the situation by relying on man’s mind and man’s experience. That is why if any one of them is able to exalt God and bear witness to God at this time, that person will be able to find the truth, see the light, know how to enter into the truth and know how to put it into practice. This is bearing witness to God. Especially when people do not know how to experience or how to enter into the truth, and in situations where someone does not know how to pursue so that he can attain salvation and does not know how to believe in God so that he can be perfected, it is even more important to exalt God and bear witness to God. It means to talk about God’s will, God’s work, how God saves man and how God perfects man. After you finish talking about these things, people will understand that this is how God perfects man. They will say, “Now I know how to pursue so that I can be perfected by God. I know how to pursue so I can attain salvation.” These are the results that can be achieved through bearing witness to God and exalting God. Now you should be able to understand this. Only the service of exalting God and bearing witness to God is true service. This is the third principle when it comes to the matter of serving God. You must exalt God and bear witness to God. The fourth principle is that you must understand what is true service. Suppose someone does not have a true experience of God’s work, and cannot communicate a genuine knowledge of it or can only talk about a very shallow experience and knowledge of it. Additionally, during service, this person always shows off himself and speaks doctrinal words. If this is the case, this kind of person is not rendering genuine service. What kind of service is service that is not genuine? It is service rendered by service-doers. What is service rendered by service-doers? What is genuine service? It is crucial to understand these things! The service rendered by those who do not truly obey and know God is service rendered by service-doers. Why is this the case? People should be clear about it. All service that is not done in accordance with God’s will and God’s requirements is service rendered by service-doers. Service rendered by service-doers means that people serve God by relying on their own imagination and zeal. This is called service rendered by service-doers. Only the service that is done through obedience to God, the service that is carried out completely according to God’s will and God’s requirements, can be called true service. Why is it that service rendered by service-doers is not true service? It is because they serve God but do not know how to grasp God’s will. In their service to God, they do not do the work in accordance to God’s requirements or do the work by following the moving and guidance of the Holy Spirit. This belongs to the category of service rendered by service-doers. All those whose life experience is too shallow, who do not have a genuine knowledge of God and who expend themselves for God based on zeal, the majority of them are rendering service as service-doers. Of course, if they pursue the truth, after a period of experience, when they understand God’s will, know how to exalt God and bear witness to God and can obey God and satisfy God, their service as service-doers will end, and they will begin to enter onto the right track of service and render true service. It can be said that serving as a service-doer is like a stage or path that everyone who serves God must pass through. Everyone must go through this stage at some point. From the time when someone first starts serving God, all the way until they have entered onto the right track of serving God, this stage is one in which they serve as a service-doer. However, if someone can do service for God based on zeal, this person at least has a genuine faith in God. Their humanity is much better than that of those who do not want to fulfill their duties yet want to be blessed. If someone does not pursue the truth, I am afraid that he will not be able to enter onto the right track of service through the stage of serving God as a service-doer. If someone is always unable to enter onto the right track of service, then it can be said that in the end, his service will become service that causes interruption and disturbance. During the stage of being service-doers, since people’s entry is too shallow, they do not have genuine experiences or have knowledge of God, and they are in a stage of being zealous, it is pardonable that they do some work based on zeal. If, after the universal watering, leading and shepherding of God’s family, in the end, someone is still unable to enter onto the right track of service, then a problem will become clear to see. This person is not someone who pursues the truth. If someone has served for a few years, but has made no progress and is not able to enter onto the right track of service, then this person should be eliminated. Service rendered by a service-doer is not in accordance with God’s will, because he does not have a true knowledge of God. That is why his service does not produce any major or clear results. Through his service, he is not able to guide people to enter onto the right track of faith in God, to guide people to enter into a genuine experience or to guide them to genuinely know God. Service rendered by service-doers does not bring any great edification to God’s chosen people. It only provides some help for a few new believers, but it does not produce any major results. It is not helpful at all to those whose experience of entry into life is quite deep. Service rendered by service-doers does not involve a genuine knowledge of God, a genuine obedience to God and the genuine light revealed by the Holy Spirit. It can be said that service rendered by service-doers is not particularly useful in helping people to enter onto the right track of faith in God and attain salvation. Therefore, service rendered by service-doers is of little value. … If those that serve God have some truths, they will genuinely worship God. Some of their prayers will already be prayers that worship God. These are not average or general prayers but prayers worshiping God. The service of all those who truly worship God in some regards can easily be in accordance with God’s will. This is because those that genuinely worship God can sense God’s will in all things, are able to seek God’s work and can grasp the Holy Spirit’s work. Since these people worship God, their service is definitely in accordance with God’s will. This is a natural thing. Those who do not truly worship God through their prayers, only pray for things. They have never truly worshiped God, much less seen the glory due to God in the spirit or through the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. Therefore, their prayers do not contain true praise. If in their prayers they had truly received the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination, they would utter true praises to God. Additionally, the more someone has the Holy Spirit’s work, the more clearly they will see God’s love; the more they can see God’s love, the more they will be able to experience God’s love. They will see that God’s love is so great and deep that it cannot be measured! Will this kind of person not love God? Inside him, a heart that loves God will surely emerge. Those who have entered into genuine worship in prayer are people who love God, know God and can grasp God’s will. That is why the service of this kind of people is absolutely in accordance with God’s will. If those who serve God have attained a genuine knowledge of God and can genuinely worship God, then it can be said that their service is in accordance with God’s will. If a man has understood some truths and can work according to God’s requirements, this means his service has entered onto the right track. If this is a person that worships God, then his service will be taken to a whole new level. He will be able to do the work completely based on grasping God’s will, completely under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and by fellowshiping about the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and illumination. In this way, the results of his work will be great, and it will be a significant edification to others and very beneficial to them. So it is only natural that he will be able to shepherd God’s chosen people. What aspects does a genuine service have? Genuine service involves being considerate of God’s will and doing the work that God has entrusted one to do. Genuine service involves grasping God’s will through worship of God and working completely in accordance with the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Genuine service involves completely obeying God and doing the things that God has entrusted one with along with the duties of one of God’s creations. Therefore, those who genuinely serve God do not make deals with God. They do not do the work expecting reward. No matter how much they suffer or how much of a price they have to pay, they never ask for anything in return. They do the work completely in order to pay back God’s love and to satisfy God. This is genuine service. Those who genuinely serve God do not pay particular attention to their own destination and they never ask God to bless them. They only wish to satisfy God, only pursue to know God and live as a genuine human being. This is their heart’s greatest desire and enjoyment. All those who genuinely serve God have already attained the stature of the perfected. The more someone has been perfected by God, the more genuine their service is to God, and the more their service is in accordance with God’s requirements.

The Truths That Those Who Serve God Must Enter Into

In order to achieve a service that is in accordance with God’s will, one must possess many truths. The truths that those who serve God must enter into mainly consist of the following nine aspects. These nine aspects are crucial. The first aspect is that those who serve God must understand a lot of truths and they have to be able to use these truths to resolve all kinds of corruption issues that man has. If someone who serves God does not understand enough truths, he will not be able to achieve the result that he can use the truth to resolve problems. Suppose a brother or a sister communicates with him, “I have encountered this kind of situation and I do not know how to experience it. This is how I think of this situation and this is what I am doing. I do not know whether it is in accordance with the truth. Are you able to help me out?” If he does not have the truth, he would not be able to answer this person. He will be unable to respond when someone asks him. He does not know how to respond. Can he use the truth to resolve problems? So, if someone who serves God has an understanding of the truth that is too shallow, then he will be unable to use the truth to resolve problems. If you are unable to use the truth to resolve problems, then what kind of results will your service produce? Suppose you have worked for a couple of years, yet you are unclear about anything related to the truth. How do you feel when you go home? You lie on your bed and think: “In terms of this problem, the things I said were incorrect. How can I talk about it in an appropriate way?” You analyze this for a long time, yet you are still unable to find the answer. Is your heart at peace? Are you happy? That is why if someone who serves God understands too little of the truth, he will be unable to do the work of serving God. The second aspect is that those who serve God must be devoted to God. At any time, they must be able to stand on God’s side, defend God’s work and not betray God. These are the things that those who serve God must do. If someone who serves God has notions about the things that God is doing, believing that what God is doing is not correct, that God should not be doing things in this way or that what He is doing is not fair or righteous, would you say that this person is able to serve God? Isn’t this having a dispute with God? Will this person not easily antagonize God? Someone said, “If the stature of those who serve God is too small, what should they do if they have notions about something God is doing because they do not see it clearly?” If you have sense and a conscience, you should at least be able to not judge God, be able to wait, seek and not betray God, and be able to communicate the truth without delay, find someone who understands the truth to resolve your problem, keep from becoming negative, continue fulfilling your duties and continue being devoted. This is the sense and conscience that those who serve God must at the minimum possess. … Regarding the things that God does, you are not able to see clearly these or those matters. There are many things that you cannot see clearly. There will always be matters that you cannot see clearly. Regardless of how much of the truth that you understand, you will always be like a baby in front of God and you will forever be dust to God. Isn’t this a fact? Can man fathom all that God has and is and God’s wisdom? Man’s mind is so insignificant. What can it possibly fathom? Do you think that man can actually research and figure out microorganisms? If you cannot understand anything, how can you always analyze whether what God does is correct or not? Why do you always want to judge God? Isn’t this being very ignorant? … Therefore, those who serve God must be rational when they are in front of God. If you do not understand what God does, do not come up with your own notions or judgments. At these times, stand by God’s side, fulfill your duties with devotion and do not become negative. This is what someone who is rational and has a conscience would do. Suppose someone does something that is wrong. For example, I say something wrong to you or I am wrong about a certain situation. How would you approach this? How do you understand this problem? Do you think that because I can communicate with you and understand some truth then this means that I understand everything? Isn’t this your imagination? Nobody is perfect. Man is not God. Man does not understand everything. It’s just that I understand a little bit more truth than you do. It’s just that my life disposition has changed a bit. You need to properly deal with this, right? However, when it comes to God, He will never do something that is wrong. The third aspect is that those who serve God must understand and grasp what the substantive work of serving God is. We must understand what God has entrusted us to do and what the results that we are to achieve are. Can you do good work if you are unclear about these things? If you do not know what God has entrusted you with doing, what work are you going to do? Furthermore, if you do not even know what results this work should produce, then how are you going to do the work? The fourth aspect is that those who serve God must be able to grasp God’s will. In whatever situation you encounter, you must grasp God’s meaning, grasp the meaning of God’s words and grasp the essence of God’s words. Only by doing this will you be able to do work in accordance with God’s requirements. There are many people who do not know to grasp God’s will. When they encounter some situations, they have their own notions. For example, some people see that God’s family expels a certain kind of people and they have their own notions about it. If you have notions, you should try to grasp God’s will. Why does God’s family need to expel this kind of people? You must know that your imagination is not the truth. You should seek to grasp God’s will and God’s meaning. Confirm the situation after you have prayed and done some seeking, “As a matter of fact, these people are people that God will not save. These are people that could not be saved. That is why God’s family expelled them.” If you understand God’s meaning, then you will not have your own notions. For example, God’s family forbids spreading the gospel to weak-minded people who are unable to understand the truth. Some people have notions about this and they say, “These people don’t seem too bad in appearance. They seem like they are nice. It looks like they are good, honest people. Why shouldn’t we spread the gospel to them?” Right now, how do you understand not spreading the gospel to this kind of person? Pursuit of the truth and salvation requires that one must possess the caliber to understand the truth. Weak-minded people have no way of understanding the truth. It would be useless even if they were converted, right? It is completely in accordance with God’s meaning when it is said like this. It is because they have no way of understanding the truth that God’s family will not spread the gospel to this kind of people. Even if they were converted, they would be unable to understand what is fellowshiped about. Wouldn’t this be similar to converting a living corpse? Suppose someone’s child has died and he no longer breathes. If this person keeps the child’s body in his house and does not properly dispose of it, would you say that this person has some mental issues? That is why regardless of what situation we encounter, we must try to grasp God’s will. For example, when God’s family eliminates someone who was a leader, some people say, “When God’s family has a use for someone, they will say that he is good. When they do not have a use for him, they will say that he is bad.” Would you say that these words are tenable? They are not tenable. These people always rely on their own imagination when they encounter a situation. They do not try to grasp God’s will or ask why God’s family would eliminate this kind of person. Their way of looking at things is basically not in accordance with the truth. This is how unbelievers look at things. They have taken the way unbelievers look at things and brought it into God’s family. This is obviously a mistake. Therefore, when those that do not try to grasp God’s will speak, they are resisting God. When they speak, they end up distorting the facts. When they speak, they take the way of unbelievers and reveal their demonic side. They are utterly devoid of humanity and not rational at all. The fifth aspect is that those that serve God must obey God. Only by having genuine obedience to God can one realistically bear witness. Can you serve God if you do not genuinely obey God? If you do not obey God, then isn’t your service to God just resisting God? Aren’t you just getting into a confrontation with God? You confront and oppose God in every situation. Hasn’t someone like this basically become a demon? Therefore, we must not let those who do not genuinely obey God serve God. Letting such a person serve God is equivalent to putting a demon into a leadership position to deceive God’s chosen people. He is an accomplice of Satan and this is basically a deed of Satan. If someone is unable to obey God he is not qualified to serve God. Only those who obey God are qualified to serve God. Of course, when it comes to obeying God, I am not saying that only those who obey God absolutely are qualified to serve God. At the minimum, one must be able to genuinely obey God in some regards in order to be qualified to serve God. In the course of serving God, this person will progressively be perfected and eventually become someone that obeys God completely. What kind of things could someone who does not obey God do through serving God? People must see this matter clearly. First, this person is able to go against God’s will and serve his own intentions. Second, it is certain that he will arbitrarily take rash actions and he believes that he is infallible. He will do things in whatever way he desires. Third, the things that he does are surely not done under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Instead, the things that he does interrupt and disturb the Holy Spirit’s work. That is why if someone does not genuinely obey God, his service is definitely service that resists God. It is service that causes interruptions and disturbances. This kind of person is not qualified to serve God. If you do not have genuine obedience for God, you are not qualified to serve God. Therefore, the truth that someone who serves God must enter into is that he himself must first be a person who obeys God. Now, what are the manifestations of obeying God? First, he must be able to accept the truth and put God’s words into practice. Second, he must be able to seek God’s will, seek the truth and put the truth into practice when he encounters any situation. Third, he must be able to accept dealing and pruning. Fourth, he must be able to obey whatever arrangements God’s family has put in place. Fifth, he must be able to submit to all of God’s orchestrations and arrangements. If someone has these five manifestations, it can be confirmed that this is a person that obeys God. If someone does not have these five manifestations, then it is for certain that this is not someone who obeys God. Suppose someone shows obedience in these five aspects, but his obedience is not thorough. Sometimes he disobeys or resists God. It can be said that this person is someone who is completely able to achieve obedience to God because he is someone who pursues the truth. The sixth truth that must be entered into by those who serve God is that they must be ones who love God. This is because only those who love God can become God’s confidants. The service of God’s confidants puts God at ease most. These are people that God trusts the most. If someone cannot love God with his heart, this indicates that this person does not have the truth. If he understands some truths but is still unable to love God, this indicates that this person’s humanity is not good. His conscience and rationality are not sound. This is completely accurate. Suppose someone sees God’s loveliness and sees that all that God does is love and salvation for mankind. However, this person is unable to love God. Would you say that this person has humanity? He does not. Those who do not have love in their hearts are demons. If he is unable to love positive things, the truth, good people and especially God, who is most lovable, can this person love other people? Can he genuinely love other people? Absolutely not. His heart does not have love. He does not have a conscience and he does not have sense. That is why he does not have love. Those who do not have genuine love do not have humanity and they are cold-blooded animals. What are the manifestations of how cold-blooded animals treat other people? They are as cold as ice and frost. They have no expression on their faces. They just have a cold expression on their face. This kind of person is cruel and unfeeling. There are some people who rarely smile. They cannot smile. Would you say that this kind of person does not have a sound expression? That’s not the case. Inside their heart, they do not know the meaning of smiling. They do not know the meaning of joy. Isn’t this kind of person a cold-blooded animal? They have never smiled before. They do not know what it is to smile. It is guaranteed that this kind of person does not have any love. No matter how great of a good deed you do for this kind of person, they do not know what it means to love and they do not know what is gratefulness. The seventh aspect is that those who serve God must be people who worship God. The reason for this is that without worship, there can be no genuine service. Suppose there is someone who serves God and understands a lot of the truth. However, his prayers do not contain any genuine worship. He constantly prays to God to ask for things, negotiate with God, talk about conditions with God and ask God to bless him. This kind of person definitely does not have the truth. He is not a person that God is pleased with. If you are not someone that worships God, would you be able to genuinely serve God? You cannot even see what glory God should receive, much less see all that God does is love and salvation for mankind, and you do not worship God; how are you to exalt God and bear witness to God? If you yourself are not someone who worships God, then you definitely are not someone who obeys God, much less someone who loves God. Therefore, your work and your service definitely cannot exalt God and bear witness to God. If those who serve God are not people that worship God, then their service is a failure. Therefore, those who serve God must be people that worship God. It will not do if their prayers do not contain worship. This is a truth that people must enter into. The eighth aspect is that those who serve God must be able to abandon everything in order to follow God. They must not be under the control or influence of any person, matter or thing. They must faithfully follow God until death. This is something that those who serve God must possess. Today, if God’s family has made some kinds of arrangements for you, then you must obey these arrangements. Tomorrow, if God’s family orders you in another way, then that is how you must obey. Whatever God’s family asks you to do, you must do it. You must not give any reasons or talk about any conditions. You must be absolutely obedient to God and God’s family. If those who serve God do not possess this kind of obedience and if they are unable to abandon everything in order to follow God, then their service is definitely not in accordance with God’s will, because their service has too many conditions attached to it. Their service does not involve a genuine obedience. If you are not able to obey the arrangements of God’s family and submit to God’s orchestrations, what kind of witness can you bear? What witness can you contribute to your brothers and sisters in order to supply, guide and help them? The ninth aspect is that those who serve God must be able to connect heart to heart with their brothers and sisters. They must be able to become one with their brothers and sisters and not make any distinctions in terms of status. They must be able to live in harmony with their brothers and sisters. This is the kind of person that God’s chosen people endorse and support. If you are always aloof and remote or if you consider yourself better than everyone else, God’s chosen people will gradually distance themselves from you. They will not open their hearts to you. If you do not lay your heart bare to God’s chosen people and are unable to live in harmony with them based on a relationship of equality, how then would you be able to help God’s chosen people? How would you lead God’s chosen people? When God was incarnated, He is humble and hidden, and He never shows off Himself. When He is with people, He never tells them that He is God, and He does not associate with them or talk to them as God. He is like a common person. Nobody would feel that He is God, but the things He says are very beneficial and contributive to people. When God was incarnated, He reveals no condescension to humans. He is not arrogant at all when He interacts with people. He speaks like a common person. He never chides anybody and He never speaks from a higher status position. This is why God is so lovable. If we humans have a bit of position, we become arrogant and prideful. We become egotistical and we look down on other people. Isn’t this Satan’s corrupt disposition? Suppose there comes a time when someone achieves status yet he acts as if he does not have status. Regardless of the work that he does, he feels that he does not have status. He does not feel his status when he interacts with others. He forgets his identity and he just focuses on fulfilling his duty and doing work. He is not aware of his identity and status and other people see that he even does not know what his identity is. At this point, it is fine. If you let other people have this feeling, this indicates that in your heart, you no longer have this thing known as status. Therefore, when you have status but do not rely on your status, and you have status but do not feel that you yourself have status and never interact with others from your position of status, you will be someone who does not have status in his heart and is not arrogant and conceited and is able to properly interact with other people. If you can enter into this aspect of the truth, your life disposition will experience some change. Suppose in your work you are able to be like common people. As a result, other people cannot feel like you have position or a certain identity. They are willing to open their hearts to and interact with you. Regardless of what hardships they are going through, they would be willing to talk and communicate with you about them. In that case, you will be someone who meets God’s requirements and your service for God will be very fruitful. The truths of these nine aspects must be entered into by those who serve God. If you are able to achieve results when it comes to entering these nine aspects of the truth, your service for God will be completely in accordance with God’s will.

The Two Aspects That Are Crucial to Consider When Evaluating Whether Someone Who Serves God Is Suitable to Be Used by God

There are two key aspects to consider when evaluating whether someone who serves God is suitable to be used by God: One aspect is whether this person has a heart that reveres God; the other aspect is whether this person has a heart that loves God. Those who do not have hearts that revere God are capable of doing all sorts of evil. Some people said, “That person who serves God has not done anything bad. We have never seen him judge God, disrupt our gatherings or interrupt God’s work. How is it possible that he could do all sorts of evil?” The “evil” here includes two aspects: One refers to external actions which are evil. It includes all the things that someone does that belong to the category of transgressions or sins. A person’s conscience is able to know these things, which can be evaluated as evil by the standards of conscience. These are evil actions that are publicly acknowledged. Another refers to the things that people do that are based on their minds’ imagination and their own preferences. From man’s perspective, doing such things is not doing evil. However, since they do them against God’s will and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which can bring harm to people’s life, these evil things interrupt God’s work. This is another kind of evil. Suppose someone who serves God arbitrarily takes rash actions when he is working. He relies on man’s opinions and as such, he works blindly and the result is that he ends up interrupting God’s work. From God’s perspective, this is an evil act that resists God. It is similar to Paul’s service. Externally, the things he did should not be viewed as evil. Instead, people even believe that Paul served God very devoutly and that he suffered a lot in his service of God. However, from God’s perspective, what Paul did was evil and it was resisting God. What are the manifestations of Paul’s doing evil? First, his service lifted himself up and bore witness to himself instead of God. This is a manifestation of resisting God. Second, his work did not guide people toward understanding God and experiencing and understanding God’s word. He just forced his own opinions upon those who believed in God, causing them to be influenced by his opinion in their understanding of God and their experience of God’s work. He did whatever he liked to do. This is why God considers Paul’s service as resisting God. If someone does not have a heart that reveres God, it is easy for them to follow their own desires. It is easy for them to arbitrarily take rash actions and follow their own preferences when serving God. Therefore, regardless if other people think that what those that do not have a heart that reveres God do is good or bad, from the perspective of God, everything they do resists God and it belongs to the category of interrupting God’s work. Why are those who have a heart that reveres God suitable to be used by God? The reason for this is that when someone has a heart that reveres God, he is willing to satisfy God in all things. Therefore, he focuses specifically on seeking God’s will in all matters. He specifically focuses on seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance through prayer. He is very afraid that he would rely on man’s ideas to do something and in the process go against God’s will and harm God’s heart. If he does not understand God’s will in a particular situation, it is certain that he will pray and seek. He would not replace God’s will with man’s will. This kind of person is someone that reveres God. A person who reveres God is able to seek God’s will in all matters. Therefore, regardless of what work this person does or what he puts into practice, it is definitely in accordance with God’s will. Externally, those who do not have hearts that revere God seem like they are doing work for God and that they are bearing a lot of hardships and suffering, but why is it that what they do is not in accordance with God’s will? It is because part of their work is based on the ideas and opinions of man instead of being based on God’s will. Some of their work is based on man’s good heart and man’s imagination. The result is that their work interrupts God’s work. From God’s perspective, this kind of work is definitely called an evil deed. Therefore, if someone does not have a heart that reveres God, it is easy for their service to interrupt God’s work, disobey the Holy Spirit’s guidance and be a mistake. Someone who has a heart that reveres God focuses more on praying and seeking God’s will in their service of God. That is why, most of the time, they are able to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance when doing things. Since they frequently pray, they are quite clear about how God works on man and how He saves man. This is why the work of people who revere God seldom causes interruption. The results that they can achieve in terms of the experience of guiding God’s chosen people to enter into the truth are much better. Their service satisfies God. Some people ask, “How should we examine whether someone has a heart that reveres God? What does it mean to have a heart that reveres God? What does it mean to not have a heart that reveres God? Don’t all people who believe in God have this sort of heart?” Whether someone has a heart that reveres God is actually quite easy to differentiate and examine. The average person is able to notice this. It is even easier for people who understand the truth to differentiate this. First, look at whether God occupies a place in a particular person’s heart. People must be clear about the manifestations of God having a place in someone’s heart. If God has a place in someone’s heart, that person will keep God’s affairs, God’s entrustment and God’s demands in his heart. Moreover, he will undertake them as important matters and when he encounters things, he will know how to pray to God and to seek God’s will. If he does not have a place for God in his heart, it is certain that he does not have God’s affairs, God’s words, God’s entrustments and God’s demands in his heart. He does not keep these things within his heart. He only keeps his personal matters, family matters and matters pertaining to his living within his heart. He is totally indifferent to God’s work, the results that God intends to achieve on people with His work and how God saves man. He thinks that these matters are not related to him at all. That is why he does not have these things within his heart. If someone has a heart that reveres God, he focuses more on caring about the entry into life of God’s chosen people and examining whether the things he has done satisfy God and whether they are in accordance with God’s will. If you observe someone like this in these matters, you will be able to ascertain whether he has a heart that reveres God. For example, when someone encounters temptation, if he is someone that reveres God, he will be able to stand firm, reject Satan and abandon the world. A person who does not have a heart that reveres God focuses on fleshly interests. Regardless of what situations he encounters, he is only focused on how they benefit him. As long as they are advantageous to him, it is fine. He does not consider whether doing something will bring humiliation to God’s name, much less consider whether doing something will satisfy God’s heart. Therefore, those who understand the truth can tell right away whether someone has a heart that reveres God. Additionally, you can tell when you listen to someone speak. If you listen to someone speak, you can tell whether or not he has God within. This is very easy to differentiate. Let me give you a simple example. Picture a mother and a father who love their own children. Can you tell from the words that they speak? You can tell. Regardless if they are hitting or scolding their kid, you can tell. You can tell whether the relationship between husband and wife is good. You can tell from the words that they speak. People can differentiate when it comes to these matters. Can you tell whether someone has a heart that reveres God and a heart that loves God? You can absolutely tell. Regardless of how many years a person has believed in God, whether he is a person that reveres God, whether he truly believes in God and whether he is someone that pursues the truth are some things that are very easy to tell. In some situations, these things can become very clearly revealed. It is very easy to differentiate.

Now, do you know how a heart that reveres God is developed? This is very important. First, one needs to pray more and pray sincerely to obtain the Holy Spirit’s work so that he can have a true faith in God. Those who do not truly believe in God, pray a lot but do not have any devotion. Their prayers are just a religious ceremony. They do not sincerely come from the depths of their heart. That is why it is not easy for them to attain the Holy Spirit’s work. All those who frequently receive the Holy Spirit’s work feel, “God is real. Through my prayers, I can feel how the Holy Spirit works. I really do feel the Holy Spirit enlightening me, touching me, illuminating me and guiding me to understand God’s words and experience God’s work.” The more someone obtains the Holy Spirit’s work through prayer, the more he understands God’s work and the greater his faith in God becomes. All those who have a true faith in God, inside, they also have a heart that reveres God. The greater their true faith is, the greater reverence for God they have in their heart. This is sufficient to prove that a heart that reveres God is ultimately developed in a person following his possession of a true faith in God which results from obtaining the Holy Spirit’s work through prayer. Secondly, a heart that reveres God is developed in someone based on the fact that in experiencing God’s work, he sees the power and the judgment of God’s words, and sees, in the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, that God’s disposition is righteous, majestic and wrathful. Some people develop a heart that reveres God from having received some disciplines or punishment from God. Other people develop a heart that reveres God through seeing the Holy Spirit’s judgment and discipline within themselves when they experience the Holy Spirit’s work. In brief, the God-revering hearts that people have are developed through experiencing the work of God. … If you do not have a heart that reveres God, your standard of conducting yourself will drop. This is similar to the muddleheaded and careless faith of religious people. Your lives will be like those of unbelievers. The way unbelievers live is the way that you would live. Just because you do not commit major crimes does not mean that you do not commit many little crimes. You do not do anything that is significantly evil, yet you frequently commit insignificant evils. Doesn’t this still make you an evil person? Presently, there are many people that still adhere to religious conceptions. They believe, “As long as I do not do evil, in the end, I will be saved.” Do you know what it means to not do evil? Suppose you do something that completely goes against God’s words and is not in accordance with the truth. Perhaps other people do not consider it as doing evil, but from God’s perspective, it is doing evil. You can understand what this means, right? Will you achieve results if you seek salvation according to the conceptions of man? Some people say, “Number one, I am not greedy for money. Number two, I do not kill people, I do not commit arson and I do not rob people. Number three, I do not judge or hate God. Number four, I do not betray God and I do not leave God’s family. By not doing these things, I am guaranteed to be saved.” Would you say that these words are correct? Aren’t these the conceptions of man? If you seek salvation and believe in God based on the conceptions of man, then you are guaranteed to fail! You will absolutely not attain salvation. Man’s conception is not the truth. Only God’s words are the truth. Do not believe in the imaginations of man, and even more, do not believe in the conceptions of man. All religious conceptions are deceptive. Among the existing religious conceptions, there is this following conception, “We have believed in Jesus. Once saved, forever saved. Regardless of what sins we commit, Jesus has already paid for them with His blood and God will not record them. Therefore, we can sin all we want and it will not be a problem.” Would you say that these words are correct? These words are definitely not correct. In this stage of work, God said, “Transgressions will take man to hell.” Even though man’s sins in the past have been written off by Jesus’ redemption, if you have transgressions, it will not do. Transgressions can send you to hell. The meaning is that even though you do not commit any sins, it will not do if you commit transgressions. “Sins” and “transgressions” only differ in what we call them. In the Age of Grace, the sins of man were pardoned. During the Age of Kingdom, God acknowledges that Jesus’ stage of work was effective. It’s just that now, we do not call them “sin.” Instead, we call them “transgression.” The sins that you commit presently and in the past are the same. Even though presently, we do not call them “sins,” they belong in the category of “transgression.” If you always commit transgressions, you will still be exterminated all the same since transgressions will send a man to hell. God’s words are the truth. It is useless if you keep on adhering to the conceptions of the Age of Grace. You are just deceiving yourself. God is the God that saves mankind. Only God’s words are the truth. Mankind is corrupt. Mankind is the target for God’s work and God’s salvation. Therefore, man’s words and man’s conceptions are not the truth. If you keep on believing in the conceptions of man, then you will basically ruin yourself. Those who have hearts that revere God treat God’s words as the truth. Regardless of what God says, they will evaluate themselves according to God’s requirements and they will pursue and satisfy God’s will according to God’s words in order to fulfill God’s requirements. This is the kind of person that has a heart that reveres God. Someone who has a heart that reveres God can guide God’s chosen people based on God’s requirements through their work and service. They are able to be considerate of God’s will in all matters and they are able to fulfill God’s requirements for corrupt mankind as something that God has entrusted them with. That is why with those who have hearts that revere God to guide God’s chosen people, they will be able to enter into the truth and be able to enter onto the right track of faith in God to attain salvation based on God’s requirements. If someone does not have a heart that reveres God, he will rely on his own opinion to do work. He will do whatever it is he wants to do. He will not care about how the faith of his brothers and sisters is like or care whether the way his brothers and sisters practice their faith is correct. He will not be responsible at all. This kind of person is unable to lead God’s chosen people to attain God’s salvation. Therefore, if those that do not have a heart that reveres God serve God, the things that they do certainly will cause interruption and they will go against God’s will. If someone has a heart that reveres God, he will be able to keep away from evil. What does it mean to keep away from evil? It means to keep away from the practices of human will, the evil actions of resisting God and services that run counter to God’s will. This is the meaning of keeping away from evil. Someone who has a heart that reveres God will set strict demands on himself in regard to how he serves to satisfy God and fulfill God’s will. He will also examine his work based on the requirements and will of God. Each day, he will examine himself, “Have I fulfilled God’s will through my work in these matters? What kind of results have I achieved? Have I guided God’s chosen people to enter into reality through my work and service? Have I made a contribution to God’s chosen people through the things I communicated and talked about?” In regard to these subjects, he will conduct an examination and reflection. If he is not able to come to a proper confirmation through his reflection, he will turn to God’s chosen people for help in understanding the situation. He will look at what kind of results his work has achieved in God’s chosen people. If God’s chosen people fail to make any progress in life after a few months of his leadership, he will think, “Have I not done something evil? I have sinned!” Due to his heart that reveres God, he constantly examines whether his own service is in accordance with God’s will. He constantly examines himself based on God’s demands. In this way, his service will gradually become service that is in accordance with God’s will. In regard to guiding God’s chosen people to enter into God’s work, the results that he can achieve will definitely be better. A heart that reveres God, is able to keep someone away from evil, and allow him to try to grasp God’s will and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all matters.

Furthermore, those who serve God, apart from having a heart that reveres God, if they also have a heart that loves God and they become intimates of God, then their service will be perfect. The service of someone who loves God can definitely be in accordance with God’s will and satisfy God. What do the people who love God think about most of the time inside their heart? They think about how to satisfy God. Inside the hearts of those who love God, it is certain that there is a place for God. The things that people love are in their hearts. The more love they have for something, the higher the status that thing occupies in their heart. Therefore, those who love God are people that are truly able to satisfy God. Do you know what people who love God consider most of the time during their service? They definitely often think like this, “God does His work in order to save God’s chosen people. It is done in order that all His chosen people will break away from the influence of Satan, and in the end, due to their knowledge of God, they will be saved and will completely turn to God and belong to God. If God’s chosen people experience God’s work, yet all along they are not able to have a true knowledge of God, can they truly turn to God? They cannot. It seems that in helping God’s chosen people to truly turn to God and belong to God, it is crucial to help them to know God. However, if their stature is too small and they are unable to know God, then it is necessary for them to first know their own corruption, enter into the experience of life and enter into the experience of God’s word. When they experience more of God’s word and have more knowledge of God’s word, they will start to have knowledge of God: ‘Oh, actually, this is the process of attaining salvation.’ Therefore, when it comes to new believers, it is necessary to help them to first know their own corruption within God’s word more, so that they will eventually see that they are not like a human being and that they have been corrupted too deeply by Satan and they are not living out the image of a human being but rather living altogether the image of the devil Satan. At this moment, these people will hate Satan and their own flesh. Afterward, they will have genuine repentance. Therefore, it is crucial to bring them into God’s word and into God’s judgment and chastisement in order to allow them to know themselves. This is quite critical. This is the most realistic way to enter. If after they have come to know their own corruption and have genuine repentance, they pursue to know God and pursue to live like a genuine human being, at that time, they will be able to attain knowledge of God. This is a proper experience.” If they are able to figure out this and understand the way that God saves man, then in the work to lead God’s chosen people, they will know how to lead them. They will know what they should talk about to various people, what truths each person should enter into, what stage someone’s experience has reached and what he should focus on entering into. In this way, their work and service will gradually be in accordance with God’s will. Their work will achieve more and more results and be ever more effective on God’s chosen people. Under their leadership, the more God’s chosen people enter into the truth, the more they will know God. They will feel, “We have entered onto the right track. We can now see the reality of salvation. It is absolutely attainable. God’s work of saving man is very real and very practical.” If someone who serves God often gives thought as to how God saves God’s chosen people, how God’s chosen people should experience and enter into it, and what kind of results can be attained in the end, and if he can understand clearly the process that God’s chosen people must experience to attain salvation, would you say that if he is to lead them then, will he be able to achieve results? He will absolutely be able to achieve results, right? This is because he himself has first experienced and known it. If he had not experienced it, would he be able to figure it out? He would not be able to figure it out. He can only figure out up to the point that he has experienced. There is a direct relationship between the results that he can achieve through his work and his experience. Suppose he has arrived at a certain stage in his experience. If he tries to figure it out, his experience will allow him to clearly see the results that he can achieve and the stage he has arrived at. Those who serve God frequently pray and seek before God. Furthermore, they have thought a lot about the matters of how God saves man and how God’s chosen people should enter and experience it to attain salvation. If they did not expend a lot of painstaking effort and pay a big price, would their work be able to achieve results? It requires them to expend a lot of painstaking effort and pay much price. If someone only mulls over how he can live well and does not focus on serving God, would the things that this person does satisfy God? Would his work or cooperation be able to cause God’s chosen people to be saved? Absolutely not. Therefore, if those who serve God want their work to achieve results, they must expend a lot of painstaking effort and pay much price. Look at the people in the world who take on big projects. They have suffered a lot and they have paid a big price. That is why their projects are a success. Can someone who serves God achieve success in their service of God without paying a painstaking price? Definitely not. Therefore, those who serve God should be people that love God. If they do not have a heart that loves God, they would not be able to expend more painstaking effort and pay a bigger price. They would not be able to offer their body, their heart, and all their energy and painstaking effort to God. They would not be able to take all these things and invest them into the work of God for God to use. Only those who love God are able to completely offer themselves to God. Only such people are able to offer all their thoughts, ideas, time and energy for God to use. If they do not have a heart that loves God, they will not think much about matters such as God’s work and how man can attain salvation through faith in God. They will not keep these things in their hearts. Would you say that these people would be able to guide God’s chosen people to enter into the truth? Definitely not. Suppose a leader goes home and thinks all day about how he will live well. He thinks about how he can eat well, have nice clothing, earn money and relax. When it comes time for meetings, he will go, select a piece of God’s word, read it casually, communicate a bit and feel that it is finished. Would someone who serves and does some work in such a careless manner be able to serve God well? Would his work be able to achieve results? No. Why not? It is because he has not paid a painstaking effort and price when it comes to his work. Work that does not involve paying a painstaking effort and price is frequently just going through the motions and mindlessly going through the process. There are no significant real results from this type of work. If you want your service to be after God’s own heart and your work to achieve practical results, you must put your heart into it and devote all your efforts to and sacrifice all for God. You have to expend all your painstaking efforts and pay the price. At this point, you will see that the people you lead will all be able to communicate the truth. When they encounter trials, the majority of them will be able to stand firm. Your heart will be comforted. At this time, you will feel, “I have not wasted these five years or ten years. I have offered myself to God and have done some practical work. My heart is comforted. The years before, I wasted my time on worthless activities. I wasted my life. Before, I lived for my fleshly desires. That was so empty. These several years, I have genuinely offered myself up to God and worked for Him. I feel that I have lived richly and at ease these past several years. My heart is comforted and I feel enjoyment. Regardless if I die or survive later, I have not wasted my life. I have done some practical work. God’s chosen people whom I have led have benefitted from the painstaking efforts that I have expended and the price that I have paid. This is God’s grace. God’s love has befallen me.” When someone has this kind of feeling, what is it called? This is a life of value. It is meaningful for someone to live like this and serve God in this way. Your heart will be very much comforted. The more greatly you have suffered, and the greater the price you have paid, the more comforted your heart will be. God knows how much you have suffered and how much of a painstaking effort and price you have paid. God examines the bottom of man’s heart. Furthermore, if we have truly paid a painstaking effort and price, our conscience will also be comforted, right? If we have not paid much painstaking effort and price, we will feel conscience-stricken. One day, when you see God openly reveal Himself, you will say, “God is so almighty. God truly loves me, but when I did work in the past, I just fooled Him by going through the motions. I did not pay any price.” At this time, will you dare to look at God? How can you face God? How can you give an account to God? Suppose your service to God only causes interruptions. You work and speak only for your own status and fame. You pay no attention to your brothers’ and sisters’ entry into life and you are not considerate of God’s will. Now, aren’t you an evil doer? Aren’t you someone who betrays God? At that time, you will regret and hate yourself for having been unable to be loyal to God, having been unable to pay the price and having been perfunctory toward and fooled God. No matter how you hit yourself in the mouth, it will be of no use. It will be too late to repent. Therefore, on the one hand, those who serve God must have a heart that reveres God and on the other hand, they must also have a heart that loves God. If someone has a heart that loves God, he will be able to expend all his painstaking efforts and pay any price for the work of God. He will be able to genuinely offer all of himself to God and allow God to use him. This is the result that someone who loves God can achieve. Only those who genuinely love God can be able to satisfy God in this way.
