59 The Work of Judgment and Chastisement Goes Deeper Than That of Redemption
Intro
Now the age has changed,
the work of God progressed.
Man’s rebellion and unclean things
will be purged through judgment.
Verse 1
During the work of redemption,
God must show grace for man to enjoy,
so man might be redeemed from sin
and forgiven his sins through grace.
Chorus
God now exposes unrighteousness
by means of chastisement, judgment,
by using His words to smite,
to expose and discipline man,
so that mankind may be saved.
This goes deeper than redemption.
Verse 2
The grace in the Age of Grace
was enough for man’s enjoyment.
Now that man has felt this grace,
he’s no longer to enjoy it.
This work is now past its time.
Now God saves man through the word’s judgment.
Man is judged, chastised and refined,
then his disposition is changed.
Pre-chorus
Is this not because of the words God has spoken?
Chorus
God now exposes unrighteousness
by means of chastisement, judgment,
by using His words to smite,
to expose and discipline man,
so that mankind may be saved.
This goes deeper than redemption.
Bridge
Each stage of work is done in line
with mankind’s progress and the age.
All this work is meaningful,
it’s done for the final salvation.
It’s so man may have a good destination
and be classified to kind in the end.
Chorus
God now exposes unrighteousness
by means of chastisement, judgment,
by using His words to smite,
to expose and discipline man,
so that mankind may be saved.
This goes deeper than redemption.
