336 You Are Just Not Living for the Truth
Chorus
Your pursuit is not to gain the truth,
though today’s chastisement you accept.
You’re not aiming to live out the truth,
but to have a happy life beyond flesh.
You’re not seeking for the truth,
nor standing up for the truth,
nor existing for the truth.
Verse 1
You keep thinking the Savior
of compassion and kindness
will one day come and take you,
you who have endured hardships.
Verse 2
You keep thinking the Savior
will no doubt exact revenge
for you who have been victims,
for you who have been oppressed.
Verse 3
Are you not filled up with sin?
Are you the only one who suffers?
You fall in Satan’s domain,
and yet still need God’s vengeance?
Chorus
Your pursuit is not to gain the truth,
though today’s chastisement you accept.
You’re not aiming to live out the truth,
but to have a happy life beyond flesh.
You’re not seeking for the truth,
nor standing up for the truth,
nor existing for the truth.
Verse 4
If truth is what you possess,
you can follow after God.
If you possess living out,
you can manifest words from God.
Verse 5
If you possess life itself,
you can enjoy God’s blessings.
All those who possess the truth,
they can bask in God’s blessings.
Verse 6
God redresses those who love Him
and endure sufferings,
not those who just love themselves
and fall for Satan’s deceits.
Chorus
Your pursuit is not to gain the truth,
though today’s chastisement you accept.
You’re not aiming to live out the truth,
but to have a happy life beyond flesh.
You’re not seeking for the truth,
nor standing up for the truth,
nor existing for the truth.
Bridge
How can there be goodness
in those who don’t love truth?
How can there be righteousness
in those who only love flesh?
Aren’t good and righteousness
all in reference to the truth?
Aren’t they reserved for those
who love God with whole heart and strength?
Those corpses who don’t love truth—
with evil aren’t they filled?
Those unable to live truth—
aren’t they truth’s enemies?
Do you know which one you are?
Chorus
Your pursuit is not to gain the truth,
though today’s chastisement you accept.
You’re not aiming to live out the truth,
but to have a happy life beyond flesh.
You’re not seeking for the truth,
nor standing up for the truth,
nor existing for the truth.
