01Did you know? The judgment of the great white throne began long ago

Many people believe that the judgment of the great white throne as prophesied in the Book of Revelation means that, when the Lord returns in the last days, He will set up a desk in the sky where He will sit, unfurl the scroll, and judge each and every person to determine whether they go to heaven or to hell, based on their behavior. Imagining all of this seems quite reasonable, but will God really carry everything out as we imagine He will? The truth is that the judgment of the great white throne as prophesied in the Book of Revelation was just a vision seen by John—it is not a fact. So when the Lord returns, how exactly will He carry out the judgment of the great white throne?

“And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works” (Revelation 20:11–12).

“And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:47–48).

“For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22).

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17).

02Why does God have to do another stage of work—the work of judgment—in the last days?

The Lord Jesus’ work of redemption in the Age of Grace only pardoned mankind’s sins. It did not absolve people of their corrupt dispositions; their arrogance, conceitedness, selfishness, greed, crookedness, deceitfulness, and other satanic dispositions remained. Unless these corrupt dispositions are resolved, people will constantly commit sins, oppose and betray God, stuck in a cycle of sinning and then confessing, unable to cast off the bonds of their sinful nature and be fully saved by God. God has returned in the flesh in the last days in order to completely save us. He has expressed all truths to cleanse and save mankind, and He is performing the work of judgment beginning with the house of God to resolve people’s sinful nature and satanic dispositions, so that we may cast off sin, be purified, and be saved by God.

“For I am Jehovah your God: you shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:44).

“Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5).

“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin to salvation” (Hebrews 9:28).

“Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” (Revelation 22:14).

03How God does the work of judgment in the last days to fully cleanse and save mankind

In the last days, God expresses the truth to judge and expose mankind’s satanic nature of sinning and resisting God, and He reveals His righteous and holy disposition that tolerates no offense. Through the judgment, chastisement, trials, and refinement of God’s words, people clearly see the truth and the essence of their own satanic corruption. They are able to detest and forsake themselves, and truly repent to God. They begin to seek the truth, put the truth into practice, live by God’s words, and gradually cast off the bonds of their satanic nature, be cleansed and become people who genuinely submit to and worship God.

“And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, said Jehovah, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. “Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:9–10).

04The consequences of refusing to accept God’s judgment of the last days

As God dispenses His judgment of the great white throne in the last days, He first becomes flesh, expresses the truth and does the work of judgment beginning with the house of God, making a group of overcomers before the disasters arrive. Once God’s work of judgment has come to a close, He rains down great disasters and begins to reward the good and punish the wicked. Those who foolishly wait for the Lord to come on a cloud, who refuse to accept His judgment work of the last days and who are not cleansed and saved, will be swept up in the disasters, weeping and gnashing their teeth.
