771 God Protects Those Who Love Him
Intro
Great trials may befall you, but truly love God,
stand firm in your testimony and please God,
and you will be comforted and not afraid
no matter how great your future trials.
Verse 1
You can’t see what will happen in the future,
you can only satisfy God today.
You are unable to do any great work,
so experience God’s words to satisfy Him,
bear strong and resounding testimony,
and that will then bring shame upon Satan.
Chorus
If you always put the truth into practice,
and please God with a heart that truly loves Him,
then God will protect you through all future trials.
Verse 2
Though your flesh stays unfulfilled and you’ve suffered,
you’ll have satisfied God and brought Satan shame.
If you always practice this way in all things,
God will open up a path before you.
Then when, one day, a great trial comes your way,
others will fall down, but you will stand firm.
Chorus
If you always put the truth into practice,
and please God with a heart that truly loves Him,
then God will protect you through all future trials.
Verse 3
Because of the price you have paid for loving God,
God will protect you to stand firm, not fall down.
Although you are foolish, oh yes, so foolish,
and of little stature and poor caliber,
God will not discriminate against you.
It depends on if your intentions are right.
Chorus
If you always put the truth into practice,
and please God with a heart that truly loves Him,
then God will protect you through all future trials.
Verse 4
Now you can satisfy God in all things,
you love God and you give your true heart to God.
Though there are some things that you can’t understand,
you can come before God to rectify
all your intentions and to seek God’s will,
doing all things needed to please God.
Bridge
Perhaps your brothers, sisters will discard you,
but your heart will still be satisfying God.
You will not covet the pleasures of the flesh.
Practice this way and you’ll be protected through trials.
Chorus
If you always put the truth into practice,
and please God with a heart that truly loves Him,
then God will protect you through all future trials.
