Verse 1

God has never changed His plan,

and man thinks those to whom God speaks His words

are diminishing in number,

as are those of whom He approves.

Chorus 1

But God maintains His plan has never changed.

It is the faith and love of man

that is ever changing, ever waning,

so much so that it can happen

that a person goes from fawning over Him

to turning a cold shoulder, even casting Him out.

Verse 2

God’s stance toward you will be lukewarm,

until He hates and punishes you.

And on the day of your punishment,

He will still see you, but you won’t see Him.

Chorus 2

As life among you has grown tedious to Him,

He has chosen a better place to live

to avoid the hurt of your words

and your unbearably sordid behavior,

that you no longer fool Him

or treat Him dismissively, dismissively.

Outro

Before God leaves you, He must still exhort you

to refrain from doing what is at odds with the truth.

Rather, you should do that which is pleasing to all,

that which benefits all and your own destination,

otherwise the one who suffers in the midst of disaster

will be none other than yourself, none other than yourself.
