128 I Am Attached to God

Verse 1

When God departs from me, tears well up in my eyes,

and God smiles and waves to me.

There’s so much I want to say to Him,

but in this moment, I am lost for words.

My times with God come to mind, scenes of cheer and laughter.

We can’t forget how much God has given to save us.

All His sincere teachings carry hope.

Imprinted on my heart, they lead me forward.

Chorus

When I think of Almighty God,

I feel such sweetness in my heart.

And how I long, oh, how I long,

how I long to meet with Him again!

When I think of Almighty God,

I feel such sweetness in my heart.

And how I long, oh, how I long,

how I long to meet with Him again!

Verse 2

As God parts from me, I don’t want to let Him go.

He turns back and waves to me.

I want to ask Him to stay with me,

but I can’t and I feel such a pain in my heart.

Day by day His teachings are driving me forward.

Firm in my heart, they lead me to follow Him.

Every day I’ll experience God’s words,

I’ll do my duty to repay His love for me.

Chorus

When I think of Almighty God,

I feel such sweetness in my heart.

And how I long, oh, how I long,

how I long to meet with Him again!

When I think of Almighty God,

I feel such sweetness in my heart.

And how I long, oh, how I long,

how I long to meet with Him again!
