510 You Must Bear Witness to God in All Things
Verse 1
Behind the scenes of when Job was tried,
Satan was making a bet with God.
And then what really happened to Job
was the deeds and interference of man.
Behind each and every step of work
that God carries out within you
is always Satan’s wager with God.
Behind it all there is a battle.
Chorus
All the work that God does within people
looks merely like human interactions,
as if it’s born of human arrangements,
as if it’s born of human interference.
But behind the scenes, every step of work,
and each and everything that happens
is just a bet by Satan before God,
needing man’s firm testimony to God.
Verse 2
If you’re prejudiced towards others,
you’ll want to say words that may displease God.
If unspoken, you’ll feel discomfort,
and a battle will commence in you.
There is a battle in all you face.
And when there is a battle within,
because you cooperate and suffer,
God will do His work within you.
Bridge
Finally you are able to put
the matter aside within you.
The angry fire naturally goes out.
This happens when you cooperate with God.
Everything men do requires them
to pay a certain price in their work.
And without actual suffering,
they’re unable to satisfy God.
Verse 3
At a time when God and Satan
do battle in the spiritual realm,
how should you try and satisfy God,
and stand firm in your testimony?
Know that all that happens to you
is a time of great trial for you.
And this is the time when God needs you
to bear testimony to Him.
Chorus
All the work that God does within people
looks merely like human interactions,
as if it’s born of human arrangements,
as if it’s born of human interference.
But behind the scenes, every step of work,
and each and everything that happens
is just a bet by Satan before God,
needing man’s firm testimony to God.
Outro
Though they may appear unimportant,
these things show whether you love God or not.
If you do, you can stand witness for Him.
If you haven’t practiced the love of God,
it shows you don’t practice the truth,
that you have no truth, no life, that you’re chaff.
