Verse 1

Today you must consider your future path.

Don’t be content with how you are conquered.

Resolve to be perfect; don’t think you’re incapable.

Does truth pick favorites or oppose men?

Bridge 1

If you pursue the truth, can it overwhelm you?

If you stand firm for justice, will it knock you down?

If you truly pursue life, can life elude you?

Verse 2

If you’re without the truth, it’s not that truth ignores you,

but rather that you stay away from the truth.

If you cannot stand for justice, that does not mean it’s flawed,

but rather you believe it distorts the facts.

If you’ve sought but not gained life,

it’s not that life has no conscience;

rather, you have no conscience for life, driving it away.

Bridge 2

If you live in the light yet cannot gain the light,

it’s not that light can’t shine on you;

rather, you ignore it’s there.

Because of this, the light has quietly departed from you.

Verse 3

If you do not pursue, then you’re absent of worth,

no courage or spirit to resist the darkness.

You’re too weak to escape Satan laying siege to you.

You just want to live in peace and die in ignorance.

Outro

It’s your duty to pursue truly being conquered.

If you’re content in this way, you’ll drive out the light.
