936 God Rules the Laws by Which All Things Exist

Verse 1

Though men don’t admit that God exists,

that He made and rules over everything,

though they don’t acknowledge His authority,

astronomers, scientists, physicists

are discovering that all things which exist

and the laws that move them are ruled by a dark energy.

Chorus 1

This fact makes man accept

there is a Mighty Being,

amongst these patterns of movement,

orchestrating everything.

Verse 2

His power is extraordinary,

and although His true face is never seen,

He governs everything all of the time.

Nothing can reach beyond His sovereignty.

Faced with this fact, man can’t fail to see

laws over existence cannot by men be bridled.

Chorus 2

Man must also admit these laws

can’t be fully grasped by humans,

and the laws don’t occur naturally,

but are dictated by a Sovereign.

Verse 3

Under God’s sovereignty and control,

all things come and go in line with His thoughts;

laws arise that govern their continuation;

in keeping with these laws things multiply and grow.

No human or thing is above them, no.

It’s God’s authority and mind that generates them.

Chorus 3

According to God’s thoughts,

these laws, they shift and change,

and it is for His plan’s sake

these shifts occur or fade away, fade away.

According to God’s thoughts,

these laws, they shift and change,

and it is for His plan’s sake

these shifts occur or fade away.
