214 It’s Our Good Fortune to Render Service to God
Verse 1
We have now heard the Holy Spirit’s words,
we know this is the voice of God.
We are so blessed God is speaking to us.
What elation to eat and drink His words!
Oh, we’re attending the feast with God,
we are raised up to God’s presence.
From now on, we’ll eat, drink, enjoy God’s words.
We are so happy to be with Him.
Chorus
Oh, we’re willing to work hard for God,
submit to His plans and arrangements,
to serve all our lives with all of our hearts,
always praising His righteousness, His righteousness.
Verse 2
We desire to be blessed, we meet
God’s words’ revelation and judgment.
Our hearts are pierced deeply by His sword,
and we feel such pain and such torment.
We’re corrupt, unworthy to see God,
because our belief in Him
is just so we can be blessed by God
and enter the heavenly kingdom.
Bridge
Years of longing have disappeared,
with broken hearts, we languish in pain.
God’s words conquer, and we are convinced.
We fall to the ground, full of shame.
Verse 3
Only through the judgment of God’s words
do we see we are corrupted,
filled with intent, desire to be blessed.
How are we worthy to live before God?
Unfit to enter heavenly kingdom,
by God’s grace we do service to Him.
Whether through fortune or disaster,
I wish only to do service to the end.
Chorus
Oh, we’re willing to work hard for God,
submit to His plans and arrangements,
to serve all our lives with all of our hearts,
always praising His righteousness.
Outro
Today, we do service, though we feel unworthy.
Whatever our outcome, we’ll follow God to the end.
God uses His words to purify us
and recover our reason and conscience.
