875 The Significance of God’s Becoming Flesh to Suffer in Man’s Stead

Verse 1

God becomes flesh to suffer for men,

bring them a wondrous future destination.

During the stage of Jesus’ work, He laid

foundations for man’s entry to his fine destination.

Pre-chorus 1

He took man’s sins upon Himself, was crucified;

He served as a sin offering, redeemed mankind.

It served as proof by which man’s sins may be forgiv’n;

and more, it was a counter chip against Satan.

Chorus

God becomes flesh to work and taste worldly suff’ring.

His deeds and His efforts are essential

to bring salvation to humanity

and for mankind’s wondrous destination.

Verse 2

In the last days God will complete His work,

bring survivors to their good destination.

So He’s become flesh again to conquer man,

and has come to endure suffering on people’s behalf.

Pre-chorus 2

This evidence will remove mankind’s suffering.

It is God Himself who bears His testimony.

With this He’ll defeat and humiliate Satan,

and bring about man’s wonderful destination.

Chorus

God becomes flesh to work and taste worldly suff’ring.

His deeds and His efforts are essential

to bring salvation to humanity

and for mankind’s wondrous destination.

Bridge

After God brings humans back

by tasting of their suff’ring,

Satan will no longer have

a thing to use against them,

and humans will turn to God completely.

Only then will they belong to God wholly.

Chorus

God becomes flesh to work and taste worldly suff’ring.

His deeds and His efforts are essential

to bring salvation to humanity

and for mankind’s wondrous destination.
