755 Only Those Who Defeat Satan Are Saved
Intro
When people have yet to be saved,
their lives are interfered with
and controlled by Satan.
They are all prisoners to it.
Verse 1
These prisoners, they have no freedom,
have not been relinquished by Satan,
not fit or entitled to worship God.
Satan remains close on their heels.
As they suffer its vicious attacks,
such people have no happiness,
no right to a normal existence,
even no dignity to speak of.
Chorus
You must stand up, do battle with Satan,
with faith, submission, and fear of God
as the weapons for this life-and-death fight.
With all of these you can bring Satan to its knees.
When you do and fully defeat it,
cause it to turn tail, become cowardly,
it will no longer attack or accuse you.
Only then will you be saved, becoming free.
Verse 2
If you’re determined to break with Satan,
but you’re not equipped with the right weapons,
you will remain in danger, in peril.
Over time, you’ll be tortured, sapped of strength,
still unable to bear testimony,
trapped by its attacks and accusations,
not able to fully free yourself.
Then you have little hope of salvation.
Bridge
When the end of God’s work is proclaimed,
you will still be in the grip of Satan,
unable to free yourself, no chance or hope.
Such people will be in Satan’s captivity.
Chorus
You must stand up, do battle with Satan,
with faith, submission, and fear of God
as the weapons for this life-and-death fight.
With all of these you can bring Satan to its knees.
When you do and fully defeat it,
cause it to turn tail, become cowardly,
it will no longer attack or accuse you.
Only then will you be saved, becoming free.
