277 Those Who Provoke God’s Disposition Must Be Punished
Verse 1
God does not partake in the politics of man,
yet He controls the fate of a nation,
the world and the universe.
The fate of man and God’s plan are deeply connected.
No nation or man is free from the rule of God.
Chorus
All who want to know their fate must come before God.
Follow and worship Him, and He will make you prosper.
Those who resist, reject Him shall fall and perish.
Verse 2
Recall in the Bible when God destroyed Sodom,
and how Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt,
and how the people of Nineveh
repented their sins in ashes and sackcloth.
Chorus
All who want to know their fate must come before God.
Follow and worship Him, and He will make you prosper.
Those who resist, reject Him shall fall and perish.
Verse 3
Remember the Jews who nailed Jesus to the cross
2,000 years ago; recall the consequences.
They were expelled from Israel,
scattered around the world.
Many found death, their nation destroyed,
like nothing that happened before.
Bridge
They nailed God to the cross
and provoked God’s disposition.
They paid for what they did.
They condemned God,
so their only fate was to face His punishment.
This was the consequence, the bitter disaster
their rulers brought upon their country and nation.
Chorus
All who want to know their fate must come before God.
Follow and worship Him, and He will make you prosper.
Those who resist, reject Him shall fall and perish.
