979 What God Thinks of Man’s Deeds
Intro
God hopes you prepare enough good deeds
for your own destination,
then God will be pleased.
If not, no one can escape the coming disaster.
Verse 1
God begins and controls the disaster.
If you are not good in the eyes of God,
then you will not escape the suffering.
Amidst tribulation, your deeds were not
considered completely appropriate.
For your faith and love were hollow,
you were only timid or tough.
And God judged you as only good or bad.
Chorus
God must tell you this: Whoever breaks His heart
never shall receive mercy a second time,
all faithful to Him forever shall remain in His heart.
Verse 2
Your acts and expressions still concern God;
this is how He will determine your end.
But there is one thing God must make clear:
He will no longer be merciful
to those disloyal through tribulation;
He loathes anyone who’s betrayed Him once
and rejects those who’ve betrayed friends.
This is God’s disposition for all.
Chorus
God must tell you this: Whoever breaks His heart
never shall receive mercy a second time,
all faithful to Him forever shall remain in His heart.
