135 God’s Work Is Always New and Never Old
Verse 1
Jesus once stated the work of Jehovah
had fallen behind in the Age of Grace.
The work of Jesus has fallen behind
much as God says today.
If there had only been the Age of Law,
and there had never been the Age of Grace,
Jesus could not have been crucified,
and He could not have redeemed the human race.
Chorus
God won’t ever repeat the same work,
His work is always changing.
God speaks new words, does new work each day.
His work is wondrous in every way.
God’s work is always new,
God’s work is never old.
God’s work is always new,
God’s work is never old.
Verse 2
If there had only been the Age of Law,
could man have ever developed to this day?
History does not cease; it advances forward.
Is it not the natural law of God’s work?
Is this not a depiction of His management
of man within the universe?
And the will of God does continuously change;
history progresses, as does God’s work.
Bridge
He won’t sustain the same work for 6,000 years;
for He is never old, He is always new.
One time nailed to the cross,
could He maintain this work forever and ever?
Two times nailed to the cross?
This is only the perception of an absurd man.
Chorus
God won’t ever repeat the same work,
His work is always changing.
God speaks new words, does new work each day.
His work is wondrous in every way.
God’s work is always new,
God’s work is never old.
God’s work is always new,
God’s work is never old.
Verse 3
“God is changeless and God will always be God”;
this saying is true indeed.
The essence of God does not change,
and Satan He could never be.
But this does not prove His work is like His essence,
constant and invariable.
How can you explain He’s always new and never old
if you say God is immutable?
Chorus
God won’t ever repeat the same work,
His work is always changing.
God speaks new words, does new work each day.
His work is wondrous in every way.
God’s work is always new,
God’s work is never old.
God’s work is always new,
God’s work is never old.
Outro
The work of God continuously spreads,
and the work of God is always changing.
The will of God is made known to man,
the will of God always manifesting.
