623 How Could Such a Disposition Befit Service to God?
Chorus
Each of you, in everything that you do,
must defend the interests of the church.
And you shouldn’t dwell on interests of your own.
As people who serve, you shouldn’t act alone
and should not undermine each other.
Those doing that aren’t fit to serve God!
Verse 1
Such people have a terrible disposition;
not an ounce of humanity remains in them,
nothing more than beasts, one hundred percent Satan,
even attacking each other in fellowship,
actively seeking excuses to argue,
red in the face over some trivial matter,
with neither side willing to give any ground,
secretive and guarded, watching each other.
Chorus
Each of you, in everything that you do,
must defend the interests of the church.
And you shouldn’t dwell on interests of your own.
As people who serve, you shouldn’t act alone
and should not undermine each other.
Those doing that aren’t fit to serve God!
Verse 2
Does this disposition befit service to God?
Could your work sustain your brothers and sisters?
You can’t guide others to the right path of life.
Even more, you fill them with your corruption.
Your horrible conscience, rotten to the core.
How can it be that you’re not hurting others?
You are not able to enter reality,
nor do you put any truth into practice.
Bridge
You expose your devilish nature to others.
You simply don’t know any shame.
These brothers and sisters are entrusted to you,
yet you are taking them to hell!
Are you not someone whose conscience has become rotten?
You have absolutely no shame!
Chorus
Each of you, in everything that you do,
must defend the interests of the church.
And you shouldn’t dwell on interests of your own.
As people who serve, you shouldn’t act alone
and should not undermine each other.
Those doing that aren’t fit to serve God!
