244 Defying God Can Only End in Punishment
Verse 1
God has worked for several thousand years,
and passed through several ages,
to complete His management
that He designed to save mankind.
Pre-chorus 1
He wishes least to see when people,
whom He saves, defy Him,
even less to be betrayed
by those who once enjoyed His grace.
Chorus
Defying God ends in punishment.
No one can escape it.
It is God’s disposition,
the best way to deal with evil.
Blaspheming and betraying God
ends in punishment.
It was so before, it is so now,
it will be so in the future.
This is an eternal truth.
Bridge
All He does, He does to save more people,
to gain more people of His mind
who understand His will,
so they can enter His kingdom
and enjoy His promises.
Verse 2
Thus, defiance in His family
is the thing He most abhors.
What else can God do but punish
and curse those who oppose Him?
Pre-chorus 2
What better stance is there to take
towards people who defy Him?
What choice do those people have
than to accept His punishment?
Chorus
Defying God ends in punishment.
No one can escape it.
It is God’s disposition,
the best way to deal with evil.
Blaspheming and betraying God
ends in punishment.
It was so before, it is so now,
it will be so in the future.
This is an eternal truth.
