245 God Hopes People Do Not Become Pharisees

Intro

Every brother and sister

who seeks the appearance of God,

I hope that you will never repeat

the tragedy of history.

You must not become modern Pharisees

and nail God to the cross again.

Verse 1

You should carefully consider

how to welcome the return of God,

and you should be very clear on

how to be one who submits to truth.

It’s the responsibility

of every person who is waiting,

everyone waiting for Jesus

to return riding upon a cloud.

Refrain

Don’t become modern Pharisees

and nail God to the cross again.

Don’t become modern Pharisees.

Verse 2

We should rub our spiritual eyes,

so that they may become fully clear,

and we should not become mired

in words of wild, empty fantasy.

Let’s think on God’s practical work,

consider His practical aspects.

Do not lose yourselves in daydreams

or let yourselves be carried away.

Refrain

Don’t become modern Pharisees

and nail God to the cross again.

Don’t become modern Pharisees.

Verse 3

Don’t spend time longing for the day

when Jesus, riding upon a cloud,

suddenly descends among you

and takes you, who’ve never known or seen Him,

who don’t know how to do His will.

That would be a fantasy indeed!

You’d do better spending your time

thinking on more practical matters.

Refrain

Don’t become modern Pharisees

and nail God to the cross again.

Don’t become modern Pharisees

and nail God to the cross again.
