146 Together Through the Wind and Rain, Loyal Unto Death

1 You came from heaven to earth, hidden in the flesh. You work among man, and have braved many years of storms. Walking a bumpy road, You have ushered in a new era. You express the truth to judge mankind and save them through and through. For many years, You have endured adversity, and suffered the pain of man’s rejection. Humble and hidden, You have endured until today.

2 I experience the pain of judgment, and my heart bears the full force of its torment. Chastened and disciplined, I am as if returned from the dead. Recalling Your care, I adore You even more. I remember the past, and my heart is filled with remorse. After so many trials and refinement, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, loyal unto death.

3 You show Your compassion, sympathizing with my weakness. You show Your wrath, cursing my disobedience. Your compassion stretches wide, though Your anger is deep. I behold Your majesty and appreciate Your wisdom. After so much pruning and dealing, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, loyal unto death.

4 You speak and work, bestowing life on mankind. Through painful refinement, my corruption is cleansed. I have tasted Your work, and felt Your kindness. I recall the bitter and the sweet, and sorrow and joy are woven together. After so many hardships and trials, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, loyal unto death.

5 To sacrifice myself for Your will is my wish. In the face of trials, I am more firm in my resolve. My love for You grows deeper. I find sweetness in pain. In the company of Your words, my life is filled with light. After being struck and broken so many times, my love of You is more pure. I’ll be with You through the wind and rain, loyal unto death.

6 I shoulder great burdens, unwilling to delay any longer. My stature is truly small, yet I receive Your love. I take up Your commission, and my life is made perfect. I will fulfill Your will and live out true human life. Years of wind and rain, a tumultuous road in life—in bitterness and joy, or even unto death, I am without complaint. Through years of wind and rain, Your love has been with me as I go forth. I will be loyal to You, and die without regrets.
