145 May I Go With You Through Wind and Rain
1 I bask in Your words every day; I’ve seen, practical God, that You are most lovely. You’ve humbled Yourself to come hidden in the flesh, expressing truths to save mankind. You walk each day among the churches, patiently feeding, nurturing, and watering us. You silently bear rejection and slander, an exemplar for man at every turn. With Your leadership, my heart is satisfied; Your words illuminate the road ahead. I follow Your footsteps closely. May I go with You through wind and rain.
2 I bask in Your words every day; I’ve seen, practical God, that You are most lovely. Your judgment and chastisement reveal all of Your love. We are cleansed by You; we are renewed and transformed, becoming new people. Your righteousness and holiness are so beautiful. You have occupied my heart. Your words have completed us, and we are of one heart with You, becoming Your confidants. I follow Your footsteps closely. May I go with You through wind and rain.
3 I bask in Your words every day; I’ve seen, practical God, that You are most lovely. Though we’ve suffered greatly through tribulations and persecution, Your love is with us and Your words guide us, so that we have faith and strength and bear witness for You through tribulations. We will always love You and requite Your love; we will spread the truth and bear witness to You. In our years of togetherness and mutual love, our love has deepened through strong wind and heavy rain. I follow Your footsteps closely. May I go with You through wind and rain.
