359 People Don’t Approach God’s Words With Their Hearts

Verse 1

God once revealed the marvelous sight

of His divine kingdom before man.

Yet man merely stared with greed in their eyes.

None truly wanted to enter in.

Chorus

God once told man of the state of things on earth,

man listened but did not face His words with their heart.

And God once told man the truths of heaven,

but they called them tales and did not take His words to heart.

Verse 2

Today, scenes of the kingdom flash among man,

but who’s searched high and low in pursuit of it?

Without God’s urging, man would still not wake

from the very depths of their dreams.

Pre-chorus

Are they really so enthralled by their life on earth?

Are there no high standards in their heart?

Chorus

God once told man of the state of things on earth,

man listened but did not face His words with their heart.

And God once told man the truths of heaven,

but they called them tales and did not take His words to heart.

Wow, wow, wow, yeah.

God once told man of the state of things on earth,

man listened but did not face His words with their heart.

And God once told man the truths of heaven,

but they called them tales and did not take His words to heart,

but they called them tales and did not take His words to heart.
