774 Peter’s Expressions of Love for God
Verse 1
Anything in Peter’s life
that did not satisfy God’s desire
made him feel uneasy.
If it did not please God,
he would feel remorse,
looking for a way to strive
and satisfy God’s heart.
Even in the smallest things in Peter’s life,
he required himself
to satisfy God’s desire,
no leniency with his old disposition,
demanding himself
to go deeper into truth.
Chorus
Be it chastisement, judgment, or tribulation,
you can achieve obedience unto death.
And this should be achieved by a creature of God.
This is the purity of the love of God.
This is the purity of the love of God.
Verse 2
Peter loved God to a point
required by God.
Only such people can have testimony.
In his belief, Peter sought
to satisfy God in everything,
obeying all that came from God,
without complaint, accepting
chastisement and judgment,
refinement, lack in life, and tribulation,
none of which could shake his love for God.
Is this not the ultimate love of God?
Does this not fulfill the duty
of a creature of God?
Chorus
Be it chastisement, judgment, or tribulation,
you can achieve obedience unto death.
And this should be achieved by a creature of God.
This is the purity of the love of God.
This is the purity of the love of God.
This is the purity of the love of God.
