From a young age, her family instilled in her the belief that "Knowledge can change your fate," and she came to think that pursuing knowledge and gaining admiration from others was the only way to have a valuable and meaningful life. In order to gain more knowledge and secure a good future, she studied hard and even rejected faith in God and refused to gather. It wasn't until a student from her school committed suicide due to a few lost exam points that she suddenly came to her senses, gained discernment of the path she was on in pursuing knowledge, and she came to understand what one should truly pursue in life.
