The Chinese Communist Party frantically suppressed and persecuted Christians, and many brothers and sisters were arrested. When the protagonist found out that two leaders turned Judas after their arrest and that many brothers and sisters had fled to this place and that, he became pessimistic and disappointed and lost his faith, not understanding why the church had suffered such great persecution. Through reading God’s words, he came to understand God’s will. He saw that God’s work was so almighty and wise, and that God had used the Communist Party’s persecution and arrests to perfect people, expose people, and cast people out, doing the work of sorting people according to their kinds. In the midst of this environment, he also did some self-reflection, gained some self-understanding, and learned some new lessons.
