I believed in the Lord for many years,

but I only knew to enjoy His grace;

I never truly loved Him. I never focused on

practicing His words, nor followed His commandments.

I just worked and suffered to trade for blessings

of being caught up to the kingdom of heaven.

When tribulations came and I lost all hope of blessings,

I grew negative and complained about the Lord.

Only through the judgment of Almighty God's words

did I finally wake up to the truth.

Deeply corrupt and unjudged, man is unfit for the kingdom of God.

It was foolish to try to use suffering to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Always craving grace and blessings

laid bare my greedy nature.

By bargaining with God in my belief,

I was cheating and resisting Him.

I see that I am deeply corrupted and have long lost conscience and reason.

II

Only the judgment of the words of God

helped me see the truth of my corruption:

I am arrogant, selfish, crooked, and deceitful,

despicable, without human likeness.

If I didn't go through judgment, being so corrupt,

how could I know or submit to God?

Without knowing God, without fearing Him,

how could I be worthy to live before Him?

III

Through His judgment, refinement, and trials,

I now know God's love is so real.

Though I've suffered much, my corruption can be cleansed at last.

By knowing God's righteousness and holiness,

I come to fear and submit to Him.

In doing my duty and practicing the truth,

I live out real human likeness!

God's judgment has set me on the path of salvation.

I wish to pursue truth, submit to God

so my disposition may soon be transformed.
