However, when it comes to welcoming the Lord's return, many people follow the words of angels and of Paul, and single-mindedly wait for the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus to come on a cloud and rapture them up into the heavens. Few, however, welcome the Lord based on His prophecies about the coming of the "Son of man." This has caused the hopes of many believers to come to nothing; they have waited until now, when the great catastrophes of mankind is about to descend, yet they have not seen the Lord Jesus descend on a cloud.
