340 The Work God Does on You Is So Valuable
Intro
Most of you were called out,
but if your world hadn’t compelled you,
if you had not been called,
you’d be unwilling to come out.
Verse 1
Who’s willing to take on sacrifice?
Who’s willing to give up pleasures?
You’re greedy and seek a lavish life.
You’re so blessed—what complaints do you have?
You’ve enjoyed greatest grace in heaven.
Work that’s never been done on earth
has been revealed to you today.
Is this not a blessing?
Chorus
Throughout all the ages,
no one has had such salvation.
Your position is low;
it shows how great this salvation is,
it shows God is faithful:
He saves and He does not destroy.
The work God does on you is so valuable.
Verse 2
You’re chastised because you rebel.
Because of this chastisement,
you have seen God’s mercy and love.
What’s more, you’ve seen His righteousness.
Because of this chastisement,
because of mankind’s filthiness,
you have seen God’s great power
and His holiness and greatness.
Bridge
Is this not the rarest of truths?
Is this not a life with meaning?
The work God does is so meaningful.
The work God does is so valuable.
Chorus
Throughout all the ages,
no one has had such salvation.
Your position is low;
it shows how great this salvation is,
it shows God is faithful:
He saves and He does not destroy.
The work God does on you is so valuable.
Outro
The lower your position,
the more it proves you’re raised up by God,
proves the value of His work on you.
It is simply a priceless treasure!
