All People Who Do Not Know God Are People Who Resist God
Grasping the purpose of God’s work, the results His work is intended to have on people, and what exactly His intentions for people are, is what everyone who follows God should attain to. Knowledge of God’s work is precisely what all people are lacking nowadays. What God has done to people, all of God’s work, and what exactly God’s intentions have been, from the creation of the world to the present time—people don’t apprehend and don’t understand these things. This is an inadequacy found not just throughout the religious world, but even more so in all those who believe in God. When the day comes that you truly behold God, appreciate His wisdom, behold all the deeds that God has done, and know what God is and has—when you have seen His abundance, wisdom, wondrousness, and all the work He has done on people—only then will you have believed in God with real success. When God is said to be all-encompassing and rich in abundance, in what way exactly is He all-encompassing, and in what way is He rich in abundance? If you do not understand this, then you cannot be deemed to believe in God. Why do I say that those in the religious world are not believers in God but are evildoers, of the same ilk as devils? When I say they are evildoers, it is because they do not understand the intentions of God and are unable to see His wisdom. God never reveals His work to them. They’re all blind, and cannot see God’s deeds. They have been forsaken by God, and are wholly devoid of His care and protection, let alone the work of the Holy Spirit. Those who don’t have the work of God are all evildoers and people who resist God. These people who resist God whom I speak of refer to those who do not know God, those who verbally acknowledge God while having no knowledge of Him, those who follow God yet do not submit to Him, and those who enjoy His grace yet are unable to stand firm in their witness for Him. If one doesn’t understand the purpose of God’s work and doesn’t understand the work God does on people, one cannot accord with God’s intentions, and cannot stand firm in their witness for God. The reason people resist God stems, on the one hand, from their corrupt dispositions; on the other hand, it’s because they do not know God and don’t understand the principles by which He works or what His intentions for people are. These two aspects, taken together, make up the history of man’s resistance to God. Those who have just come to believe in God resist Him because humans have a nature that resists God; for those who’ve believed in God for many years, they resist God because they do not know Him, and on top of that they have corrupt dispositions. In the time before God became flesh, the measure of whether someone resisted God was based on whether they adhered to the decrees set forth by God in heaven. In the Age of Law, for instance, whoever did not adhere to the laws of Jehovah was resisting God; whoever stole the offerings to Jehovah, or resisted those whom Jehovah looked upon with favor, was resisting God and would be stoned to death; whoever did not honor their parents, or struck and insulted other people, was disobeying the laws, and all who didn’t adhere to the laws of Jehovah were those who resisted Him. Things were different in the Age of Grace, where all who resisted Jesus were those who resisted God, and all who did not submit to the words uttered by Jesus were those who resisted God. This period’s definition of “resisting God” was more accurate and practical. Before God became flesh, the measure of whether someone resisted God was based on whether they worshiped and looked up to the invisible God in heaven. That period’s definition of “resisting God” was not all that practical, for people could not see God, and didn’t know just what the image of God was like or how exactly He worked and spoke. People had no notions about God whatsoever, and believed in God from a place of vagueness, because God had not yet appeared to man. Therefore, no matter how people believed in God based on their imaginings, God did not condemn them or make overly high demands of them, because they were completely unable to see God. When God becomes flesh and comes to work among people, all behold Him and hear His words, and see the deeds of God in the flesh, whereupon everyone’s notions burst like bubbles. As for those who see God appearing in the flesh, they shall not be condemned if they intentionally submit to Him, whereas those who purposefully resist Him shall be characterized as people who resist God. Such people are antichrists, enemies who deliberately resist God. Those who harbor notions regarding God but still willingly submit to Him will not be condemned. God condemns people on the basis of their intentions and the things they do, not for their thoughts and ideas. If He were to condemn people on the basis of their thoughts and ideas, then not a single person would be able to escape the angry hands of God. Those who deliberately resist the incarnate God shall be punished for their defiance. The resistance of these people stems from the notions they harbor about God, which leads them to do things that disturb God’s work. All such people intentionally resist and try to dismantle the work of God. They do not merely have notions about God—they also engage in activities that disturb His work, and for this reason are condemned. Those who do not deliberately disturb God’s work shall not be condemned as sinners, because they are able to intentionally submit and not do things that cause disruptions and disturbances. People like this shall not be condemned. However, when someone has experienced God’s work for many years while still having notions about Him and being unable to know the work of the incarnate God, and they are still filled with notions about God and are unable to know Him no matter how many years they have experienced His work, their heart replete with notions about Him despite them having not necessarily done anything that causes disturbances—and, though these notions may not become apparent, this person is of no help whatsoever to the work of God, unable to preach the gospel for God or stand firm in their witness for Him—that means they’re a good-for-nothing and an imbecile. Because they do not know God and are moreover wholly incapable of letting go of their notions about Him, they are condemned. It could be put this way: It’s normal for those who have just started to believe in God to have notions about Him or to not know Him, but if someone has believed in God for many years and experienced a good deal of His work, and yet still has notions about Him, that’s not normal, and it’s even more abnormal if they don’t have any knowledge of God. Because this is not a normal state, they are condemned. These abnormal people are all useless; they are the ones who resist God the most and who have enjoyed God’s grace in vain. All such people shall be eliminated in the end!
Those who don’t understand the purpose of God’s work are ones who resist God. This is even more the case for those who do understand the purpose of God’s work yet don’t pursue satisfying Him. There are those who read the Bible in grand churches and recite passages all day long, yet not one among them understands the purpose of God’s work, nor are there any among them who can know God—let alone any who can accord with God’s intentions. They are all worthless, vile people, who stand on high to lecture “God.” They are people who act under the banner of God yet deliberately resist God, who bear the label of believing in God while eating the flesh and drinking the blood of man. All such people are evil devils who devour human souls, head demons who deliberately disturb people from embarking on the right path, and stumbling blocks that obstruct people from seeking God. They may appear to be “physically robust,” but how are their followers to know that they are antichrists who lead people to resist God? How are their followers to know that they are living devils dedicated to devouring human souls? Those who believe themselves noble in God’s presence are the lowliest of all, while those who think themselves lowly are the most noble. And those who presume to know the work of God and who can proclaim His work to others without restraint as they set their eyes upon Him are the most ignorant of all. Such people have no testimony of God, and are all arrogant and conceited. Those who believe they know too little of God but who actually do have practical experience and practical knowledge of God are the ones most beloved by Him. Only such people truly have testimony and are truly capable of being perfected by God. Those who do not understand God’s intentions are ones who resist God. Those who do understand God’s intentions yet do not practice the truth are ones who resist God. Those who eat and drink the words of God, and yet go against the essence of God’s words, are ones who resist God. Those who have notions about the incarnate God, and moreover intentionally engage in rebellion, are ones who resist God. Those who pass judgment on God are ones who resist God. And whoever is unable to know God and cannot bear witness to Him is someone who resists God. So, I exhort you: If you really have the faith to walk this path, then keep on following. But if you are unable to refrain from resisting God, then you had best step away before it’s too late, or else things really will not bode well for you, as your nature is simply too corrupt. You are devoid of loyalty, devoid of submission, devoid of a heart that thirsts for righteousness and truth, and devoid of love for God. It could be said that your state before God is essentially a complete mess. You are unable to abide by what you ought to abide by, unable to say what you ought to say, unable to put into practice what you ought to practice, and unable to fulfill the function you ought to fulfill; you do not have the loyalty you ought to have, the conscience you ought to have, the submission you ought to have, or the resolve you ought to have; you haven’t endured the suffering you ought to have endured, and you do not have the faith you ought to have either. You are all but completely devoid of any merit. Are you not ashamed to go on living? I advise you that you might as well close your eyes in eternal rest sooner rather than later, thereby sparing God from worrying on your account and suffering for your sake. You believe in God and yet do not understand His intentions; you eat and drink the words of God and yet are unable to comply with God’s requirements of man. You believe in God and yet do not know Him, and you live without a goal to strive for, without any values or any meaning whatsoever. You are a human being and yet have no conscience, integrity, or credibility in the slightest—can you still call yourselves human? You believe in God and yet deceive Him; you even covet God’s money and eat the offerings that are made to Him. And yet in the end you still fail to show the slightest consideration for God’s feelings or the faintest conscience toward Him. You can’t even satisfy one small requirement made by God. Can you still call yourselves human? You eat the food God provides you, breathe the oxygen He gives you, and enjoy His grace, but in the end you do not have the slightest knowledge of God. On the contrary, you have become good-for-nothings that resist God. Does that not make you a beast that can’t even compare to a dog? Among animals, are there any that are more malicious than you?
Those pastors and elders who stand on high lecturing others are ones who resist God; they’re all allies of Satan. As for those of you who lecture others while not standing on high, don’t you resist God even more? Aren’t you even more in league with Satan? Those who do not understand the purpose of God’s work do not know how to accord with God’s intentions. Could this possibly be the case for those who do understand the purpose of His work? The work of God is never in error; rather, the problem lies with people’s pursuit. Aren’t those degenerates who deliberately resist God even more sinister and malevolent than those pastors and elders? Many are those who resist God, but among them the different states in which they resist God are many as well. As there are all manner of believers, so too are there all manner of those who resist God, each unlike the other. Not a single one of those who fail to clearly recognize the purpose of God’s work can be saved. Regardless of how someone may have resisted God in the past, when they come to understand the purpose of God’s work and are able to strive to satisfy God, God will wipe clean all their former sins. As long as one can seek and practice the truth, God will not remember all that they’ve done. Moreover, God will characterize them as a righteous person because they are able to practice the truth. This is the righteousness of God. Before one has seen God or experienced His work, regardless of how they have treated God, He does not remember it. However, once one has seen God and experienced His work, all their deeds and actions will be entered by God into the “annals,” for they have seen God and lived amid His work.
When one has truly seen what God has and is, beheld God’s supremacy, and truly come to know the work of God—and, furthermore, when their old disposition is changed—they will have completely cast off their rebellious disposition that resists God. It can be put this way: Everyone has resisted God, and everyone has rebelled against God. However, if you can intentionally submit to the incarnate God, and from this point on satisfy God’s heart with your loyalty, practice the truth you ought to practice, do the duty you ought to do, and adhere to the regulations you ought to adhere to, then you are one who is willing to cast off your rebelliousness to satisfy God and one who can be perfected by God. If you stubbornly persist in your wrong ways, with no remorse in your heart, and you carry on with your rebellious conduct without the least intention of cooperating with God and satisfying Him, then such an obstinate and incorrigible person as you will be marked out to be punished, and marked out as one not to be perfected by God. If this comes to pass, you shall be the enemy of God today and the enemy of God tomorrow as well, and shall remain the enemy of God the day after that—you will forever be one who resists God, an enemy of God. How could God possibly let you off then? People have a nature that resists God, but they must not deliberately seek out the “secret” of resisting God because it is very difficult to change one’s nature. If you were to try, you’d be better off just walking away before it’s too late, lest your chastisement in the future become more severe, and lest your brutish nature erupt and become ungovernable, and your fleshly body be ultimately terminated by God. You believe in God to receive blessings; but if in the end you instead meet with woe, your belief would really not have been worth it. I exhort you, you had better devise another plan. Wouldn’t it be better for you to do anything else than believe in God? Do you really believe this is the only path for you? Would you not go on surviving even without seeking the truth? Why set yourself against God like this?
