The protagonist is arrested by the CCP police during a meeting. To force her to betray God and her church brothers and sisters, the police prevent her from eating, drinking, or sleeping for six days and five nights, beat her severely, torture her, mock and humiliate her … She is tortured so badly that she is covered in bruises and her lower limbs are paralyzed. In her pain, she prays to God, and God's words enlighten and guide her, give her faith and strength, and enable her to overcome the devils' cruel torment and stand firm in her testimony.
