Over the course of her cooperation with a church co-worker, the main character sees that this co-worker is more capable than she is and is well-regarded by other brothers and sisters. Living in a state of jealousy, she engages in petty intrigue and vies for name and gain. Though it's a very painful way to live, she just can't extricate herself from it, leaving her feeling very distressed. But by undergoing the judgment and chastisement of Almighty God's words, she gains some understanding of her arrogant, selfish, and despicable satanic nature. God's words also provide her with the path to resolving her jealousy and casting off her corrupt dispositions. When she forsakes her flesh and practices the truth as God requires, she gains a sense of inner calm and peace and becomes able to live out some semblance of a human likeness.
