The main character, a Christian, notices that a leader in her church, Jocelyn, has arbitrarily promoted someone to act as a deacon who is not well-suited for the job. It also becomes apparent that she does not do practical work and entirely refuses to accept the truth—she is a false leader. She wants to report Jocelyn, but is afraid of offending her, and so she is launched into an internal battle and cannot come to a decision. And then something happens that drives her to reflect on and better know herself, to repent to God, and to put the truth into practice, reporting Jocelyn as a false leader.
