Yet, when she goes to say goodbye to her parents, she learns that her mother has been diagnosed with cancer. She feels deeply guilty that she won’t be able to take care of her ailing mother and no longer wants to leave home to do her duty. After realizing she has fallen into a wrong state, she seeks the truth and reflects on herself. She identifies the source of her suffering and realizes what decision she ought to make when faced with a conflict between filial piety and doing her duty.
