The family of Xue Yu, a Christian from Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, is just one of the countless Christian families hunted and persecuted by the CCP. Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on December 19, 2012, Xue Yu and his father were arrested by the police on their way to a gathering. During interrogation, both father and son were violently beaten by the police. Despite this, they steadfastly refused to disclose any information on the church, and were subsequently locked up in a criminal detention house. During their detention, the police ordered inmates to beat Xue Yu, leaving him blind in his left eye. In another cell, Xue Yu's father also suffered brutal torment at the hands of the police and the cell boss, and was subjected to agonizing torture. The condition of Xue Yu's blinded left eye continued to worsen, and he suffered a persistent high fever. He was in immense pain, and the police, afraid of being held responsible, had no choice but to release the father and son. However, the police didn't leave them alone even after their release. They constantly monitored and harassed the family, attempting to arrest them again. To avoid being arrested and persecuted again, the family was forced to flee their home. Since fleeing in early 2014, they have been hunted by the police for 12 full years. After their arrest on December 19, 2012, what kind of inhuman torture did Xue Yu and his father actually suffer?
