The CCP frantically suppresses religious belief, and its arrests and persecution of Christians are inhumane and lawless. This is a universally acknowledged fact. In China, far too many Christians have been arrested and persecuted by the CCP. This episode will mainly report on one such case. On June 29, 2018, the police broke into Zhang Xu's residence, and forcibly arrested him and two other Christians. In 2020, Zhang Xu was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for holding fast to his faith in God. In the detention house and prison, the guards ordered inmates to torture him using all sorts of despicable methods in an attempt to force him to disclose church information and betray God. A prison guard blasted pepper spray right into his face and subjected him to the inhuman torture of gouging his fingers into his testicles, forcefully pinching and tugging his genitals, causing him excruciating, agonizing pain … Three and a half years of torment took a severe toll on Zhang Xu's mind and body, leaving him with multiple medical conditions. He frequently suffers from brain fog and stomachaches, and his memory has significantly declined. In December 2021, after his release from prison, Zhang Xu began to suffer from lingering complications like brain hemorrhage, severe urinary frequency, and a hernia. Even though he had served his sentence and been released, the police continued to monitor, harass, and track him.
